I am in my late 70s now and have been walking in the borders since I was a small boy. I love the area and I live nearby. :-) My Father described the Border hills perfectly when he said, "The hills are not spectacular, but they are never boring!"
Oh yes, that's a great description! It really is a special area, it wasn't on my radar before but I really loveed it and I definitely will go back there and explore it more :)

Yes, I swapped it for my other backpack, the Osprey Eja. It didn't fit perfectly and the back length is not adjustable. It was fine but with the longer food carry it just wasn't as comfortable as I'd hoped. The Eja has an adjustable back panel and just fit better for the load I was carrying.
