  • In April 2023, I set off on my biggest adventure so far: A 1600mile long hike all across Britain from Dunnet Head in Scotland to Lizard Point in Cornwall. I'm going solo with my rescue dog Otto, (wild) camping along the way.
Come along for Days 44 to 45 where we continued through the Lowlands and hiked a section of the St. Cuthbert’s Way. We had some very sunny weather, steep climbs and reached a big milestone: The border to England!
Stay tuned for our start of the Pennine Way :)
    Route:
    Melrose - near Crailing (16.1mi/26km)
near Crailing - Town Yetholm (15.4mi/24,8km)
I’m regular uploading new videos (though probably not always on the exact same day every week).
Please subscribe (it’s free :)) if you want to stay up to date and support my work. That would really mean a lot!
If you enjoy the videos and want to support our adventure with a treat for Otto and a coffee for me:

My dream is to make a living out of my passion for being outdoors, hiking and creating videos that brighten your day - and your support means the world and I’m really grateful!
On our hike we also try to raise funds for the Green Forest Fund and the WWF. Feel free to support our charity if you can: www.betterplac...
    Thank you so much!

You have portrayed one of the most underrated parts of Scotland in such a magnificent way Elli. The Yethholm area especially and into Northumberland national park is a corner of heaven itself i'm certain. I only tell select people normally to keep the riff raff out . I do know the locals feel that way too and dont blame them. Another fantastic video... vielen dank!

Aww, that's a very kind thing to say. Thank you so much, that made me really happy! I did enjoy my time there so much and it's definitely an area I want to explore more 😊😇

Oh Elli, I'm so proud of you and Otto. What a lucky dog finding you to rescue him and I know you feel the same. You're so caring with him. He rewards you with a little rolling around on the grass performance at the end of the day. If you could meet me in Minehead with Otto that would be much appreciated. At least he will know where to go and I will reward him with my vegan sausages and may be a 'no alcohol' Guinness (I'll have the real Guinness). 😝😝 Stay well. PS. I'm still taking the same tent that looks like a coffin ⚰😂 xx

The tent is not too bad, I've seen a few people using it 👍 Thank you so much, your lovely words mean so much 🤗😚😚

Thank you so much! There are so many beautiful areas in the south of Scotland - the St Cuthberts Way is definitely something I would be interested in too 🥰

Great performance from you both. Until now, I wasn't really aware of the extent of Scotland - north to south. A fascinating landscape, so lonely and original and yet so well-kept, as if it had a gardener. Good luck as far as your feet can take you!😊

I've been binge-watching your videos over the last couple of days and thoroughly enjoying your trek through my homeland. I have hiked most of those trails at some point over the last 50 years so it is bringing back memories. I'm now looking forward to your Pennine Way section although I only know a few sections of it. And as you head further south my knowledge gets less and less but I look forward to learning through your eyes(and feet!). I can't believe you only have 1.5k subs, you deserve far more. Great video work and storytelling.

Sorry for replying late, but thank you so much for the kind words. That really made my day and I'm so happy that you're enjoying the videos :) The UK is such a beautiful place for hiking and I can't wait to be back very soon :) My bucket list just got longer and longer this year and I have so many plans for 2024.
Thank you so much for the encouragement, that really means so much!!

Very well done on both the effort to walk such a distance and taking the time to edit and share the video. Its very inspiring and I admire your determination to do this solo and the pleasant manner you talk to camera mixed with all the lovely shots of the countryside. Keep it up.
