That’s one thing they pay their guitar techs for. To keep their instruments in good condition after being exposed to weather conditions that aren’t good for them. Extreme heat isn’t good for them either so I’m sure their techs have to do truss rod adjustments to fix warped necks after every hot summer performance.

I love Metallica and I'm the same age as the majority of the band. I often wonder if they ever get sick and tired of being in the game and touring?
I'm in great shape for my age and work full time in construction, but I could never hold their gig! NEVER
Oh yes, you could! They are men, not gods. Don't make yourself less worth than them: That's not neccessary to love Metallica and they wouldn't even want you to do so.

it seems that with this kind of stage, metallica doesnt look closer with the audience, they look cold at the distence... like they are desconnecting with the energy of a tradicional concert. Just look to the people... even they look very distance with each other...
And yet James gave multiple knucks to the fans (I’m sure the other members did as well), so there’s that.
@@whamsie4022 yea but, you can interact with vip people off stage, but really, just look at them on satge... the band look separate and the people dont know where to look, the may follow into james, or kirk, or lars, but you look at them separated... even at the begining the band look kind of lost they dont know when its gonna start.. well I really love the band, and I'll hate to seen like this to the band..for me, it doesnt feel the energy that they always gave before!!! even on big stages on stadiums!!!
You're completely right, but with this kind of stage they make more money:
1. the snake pit is bigger (tickets there are more expensive)
2. All the seats in the stadium can be sold. With a traditional stage approx 1/4 of the seats are useless.

looking at the crowd it looks like they are facing the opposite direction of the band. you can see all 4 members behind them and for some reason they are facing the other way.
