Perhaps replacing the steel bolts with stainless steel bolts would help the long range aesthetics of the machine... I started doing that on things like my touring bicycles' racks and fenders about 14 years ago. Then I kept the trend going on various outdoor power equipment. It has made maintenance easier too as I have fewer frozen bolts (when combined with anti seize).

In NJ you can’t get ethanol free gas for my Honda mower, echo weedwacker, Husqvarna blower, Troy bilt snowblower, or chainsaw. Should I buy trufuel from Lowe’s? Or regular gasoline and add sta-bil? Or buy premium gas and add sta-bil?

Those springs can be a nightmare to put back. The recoils sticker is going to be sand blasted off. She’s off to sandblasting today! We’ll see how she turns out next week! Have a good weekend my friend!
I’m honestly surprised you were able to swap a Predator onto this. A lot of these old snowblowers used a dual pulley design and the engine would have two shafts coming out of it to operate them.
That’s what I dislike about my old 90’s MTD the old 5 horse has 2 shafts and it causes to much work needed to be done to predator swap it. The old 5hp tecumseh is old and underpowered now. I’m looking at models with a 8 or 10 horsepower tecumseh on them because my old 5 always starts really nice.
@@TecumsehRulesbcserk hey BCSERK! I know the older 5hp tecumseh engines had the dual pulley. Bought one by mistake a while back.😡 the engines with higher hp seemed to have only one. Mine was a 7hp I believe and a direct swap.👍 I checked it before I bought it.
@@swampyankee72 hey swampy I think the engine is going to be one of the coolest parts. With a few parts orange it’s gonna look really sharp! 👍 stay tuned!
Hello JB! You didn't think to install a PTFE sheet on the inside of the case? For the part that is around the impeller. This will sharply reduce the load and will increase the speed.
