- An important part of reading biblical narratives is learning how to understand the nature of "the plot," how stories are arranged into a pattern of conflict and resolution. In this video we'll see how ignoring the sequence of the plot can lead to a distorted interpretation of biblical stories. We'll also explore how grasping the multi-layered nature of the narrative can help you see the unified story that leads to Jesus.

We are sinners who have all done some kind of wrong but instead of ignoring us, God sent His Son to die on the cross for our sins and to be our Saviour, we had a debt to pay because of our sins and Jesus paid the debt. Just believe on who Jesus is and what He has done, he died on the cross for our sins and was ressurected by God.

My 4 year old loves you guys and has since before she was 3!!! She would ask in her little baby voice to watch "bi po je". She can speak clearly now haha and "Gideon is my favorite" she always says. Again, thank you. I while back, I wanted to start understanding the Bible. Like a normal person I "youtube it" and found this channel. Now thanks to God's Grace, while reading I recognized God in Jesus. So I believe and confess my sins and confess that Jesus is God in Flesh. because I believe in Him and He died for our sins. I died with my sins., and was born again in God's spirit! What a Journey I've been through! Now I can't stop reading the Bible. Am obsessed.. Not only that I tell other the good news. As a comic book reader, I’d love to read an actual series on the Judges with that art. Amazing and educational video.
Your technique for teaching the Bible is fantastic, and you've fanned the glowing coals in my heart into a roaring fire, making me eager to dive deeper into the Bible and really start learning. The graphics also bear mentioning as they are spectacular, as many have noted. The very last bit of animation in this video of the stone rolling away from the mouth of the cave made me cry happy tears. Thank you for all of this.

This may sound silly but watching this short video caused me to worship God as I considered the MAJESTY and complexity of His Word! ALL SCRIPTURE IS GOD BREATHED
And I had serious excitement near the end of the video when the pages are quickly flipping on top of each other as the speakers began to reach the climax of what they were saying -which in a nutshell was “all of this points to the singular most important event in the Bible” THE CROSS and RESURRECTION of Jesus” and then the cross and tomb popped up.....and when the stone rolled away I seriously got chills!!!! And almost shed a lil tear 😂😂😂❤️🙏🏽

I love this! I've always said that Judges would make an incredible comic book series! I loved the comic book creations for each character. Also love the message of paying attention to the story within the context it is given. For some that may mean context of bible in its entirety and for some just within that story. Thank you for your faithful ministry

John 1:1-18
Jesus also uses the phrase "Son of Man" for himself over 82 times in all four Gospels. And if we look at the Hebrew Bible/Christian Bible in Daniel 7:13-14 we see that the "Son of Man" is in there. And it states this,
13 I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him.
14 And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.
My favourite part is the part at the end where the tomb stone rolls open.

when people read the book of Judges they have many conflicts and problems with God and the Bible...
But they forget the Bible is also a historical book and when read in context it shows the undying love of a God for his people...

I love this!! And yes it is true - the Bible is a Middle Eastern Jewish book, something western Christians tend to forget.
That’s why it’s better to read at least a couple of verses above and below the main verse that we are trying to understand, or if possible we can read the whole chapter or even the previous one for context . Having context on the verses we read can help us understand these better than just the verses themselves
Thank you for fixing that interpretation on Gideon. I still hear so many Christians use that story as how to decide God's will, and they are shocked when I try to fix it.
