Chenda is a percussion instrument Originated in the State of Kerala and also widely used in Tulunadu of Karnataka. It is also known as Chende in Kannada. The Chenda is mainly played during the temple festival . This video is of the Chenda round (Chende suttu) held at Kumaramangala Sri Subramanya Swami temple, Bela on the Occasion of Shasti. This Chenda round was performed by Rajan Marar and team.
