Very impressive and joyful. I am just discovering Keralan culture. I did a DNA ancestry test and discovered that I am 99% British and Irish and 1% Malayali, which I had no idea about beforehand.

Some of my ancestors were gunsmiths, the East India Company and many Indian princes (including Tipu Sultan) imported British and European gunsmiths to manufacture guns for their arsenals. At the time, the East India Company encouraged its British soldiers and employees to make local marriages. My best guess is that one of my gunsmith ancestors went out to work in India. The DNA result is very definite, right up to 90% confidence levels.
