I'm following the previous steps for grade 4 so I don't just use one question for each step but maybe sometimes I create different smart questions to check their attention and understanding.they like challenging because stimulate them . Thanks a bunch for wonderful explanation 👍
Really, I find what I need to improve my knowledge as a teacher and I will practice 'em ,if Allah wills..Good job! Bunch of thanks for your efforts, teacher
great video. one question: how can i pretend to teach a reading lesson the day of the oral exam since i wouldn't be dealing with real students and no materials.
Thank you so much for this amazing video. May I ask you a question, Teacher? When teaching, which stage should we teach the vocabulary? Pre. Reading or while reading? I am looking to hear your reply. Thank you!!!😅
Thank you! This is very helpful! Just one question: Are students reading the text aloud or to themselves? And if it is the former, do you correct mispronunciations during or after reading?
Hello Karim, You mean to ask students a question, for example, and they read to answer it?! If so, I can say No. Why? Simply because answering questions or doing reading comprehension exercises in general requires reading skills and techniques such as scanning. Therefore, thoughout the reading lesson you should train students on these sub-reading skills. So, I suggest helping students comprehend the text and do the related exercises through encouraging the sub-reading skills. The classical way of teaching reading (read the text and answer the questions) does not work and students do not like and do not do it! Good luck 🤍♥️💐
Very true ! 👍🏻 In pre-reading, ss can use them only to check their predictions, or for surveying the text. These are two important sub-skills that we are supposed to focus on in the reading lesson.
@@ZinebBaba-er5cr I did not say ss can use them to predict!!! But rather to check their predictions. For example, if you ask them to predict questions the text might answer, you can give them some time to go through the text quickly and check whether their questions are truely answer or not.
@@RACHIDSLIOUAT yeah I got you now , I was a little bit confused at first ,but things are clear now thanks for clarifying. I really like the way you teach that's why I'm always interfering to get a deeper understanding. I'm also teaching English.
Hello Fatiha, how are you? Well, in reading we can use several techniques that help us comprehend the text better, do the related tasks and learn, like: - Scanning - Skimming - SQ4R - Note talking - Context - Studying the Vocab - Using dictionary ....... 🔴 And for teachers, it is very important to train Ss on these techniques and skills.
Hello, For the Reading lessons, ss can write: ✔️ Specific information about the text, especially for beginners (to help them speak or write) ✔️ If anything written on the B (explained explicitly), like skills, techniques or something related to the exercises (questions). ✔️ Vocabulary items (important a words or expressions). ✔️ New exercises (if it is the first time ss meet an exercise, such as vocabulary ex, reference ex, sentence completion ..) so as ss can go back to them if they got to do similar exercises. GOOD LUCK
Hello, No! No need to read for your students because it is a reading comprehention not Pronunciation lesson. Even students don't have to read loudly. What matters a lot is Reading Lessons is that the learners use The reading strategies and comprehend the text and do the related exercises. However, if your objective is something else, that's another matter!!!
Hello sir Rachid,I'd like you to pronounce again, or write, what we should write in the last column of the lesson plan .It's not clear for me. Thanks in advance.
Sure! But discussing them not teaching/explaining them. No!!! That's the pre-. For examples, if the text revolves around concepts like discrimination, racism, treotypes ... After explaining them in pre, and reading the text and doing the related tasks, you can go back to them in post-reading phase for discussions (Ss give examples, talk about experiences, solutions, .. etc.).

How to teach functions using ECRIF framework ? Thanks in advance .
If you know how to use it to teach Grammar and Vocab .., you can easily use it to teach Functions.
should we use the same procedure with students at university?
Students of English Studies?
Bon courage prof
What should be written on the copybooks of student if the lesson is reading please answer me bcz I'm a novice teacher and have no idea
Hello,

Do I have to read the text for them in the while reading stage and they can repeate after me ?

No! No need to read for your students because it is a reading comprehention not Pronunciation lesson. Even students don't have to read loudly. What matters a lot is Reading Lessons is that the learners use The reading strategies and comprehend the text and do the related exercises. which stage could i apply this stage another thing their weak level
Hello,
I didn't get your question. Could you repeat it again?
Hello sir Rachid,I'd like you to pronounce again, or write, what we should write in the last column of the lesson plan .It's not clear for me. Thanks in advance.
OK . It's the mode of work. what do you mean by that?
Hello,
Mode of work meaning how you let your students work (group work, indivi. Work, ...).
I'm sorry for answering late.
Nice
Thank you so much
Can a teacher also discuss keywords in text in the post reading stage
Sure! But discussing them not teaching/explaining them. No!!! That's the pre-. For examples, if the text revolves around concepts like discrimination, racism, treotypes ... After explaining them in pre, and reading the text and doing the related tasks, you can go back to them in post-reading phase for discussions (Ss give examples, talk about experiences, solutions, .. etc.).
What about the SQ4Rs approach?
Hello Si Hassan.
Pre, while and post .. are always there .. even when using the SQ4R.
Thank you for your suggestion. 💚💐

Welcome 💐🧡
Pless give me example
Example of what?
Pre reading, how can I use " lead in"? 🎉
Hello,
There is absolutely NO relationship between lead-in and Pre-reading.
Lead-in is a phase, and pre-reading is another phase!
