    hello teacher, is it a good thing to start the while reading stage by comprehension questions in order to encourage students to read ?

    • @RACHIDSLIOUAT
      @RACHIDSLIOUAT  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hello Karim,
      You mean to ask students a question, for example, and they read to answer it?! If so, I can say No. Why? Simply because answering questions or doing reading comprehension exercises in general requires reading skills and techniques such as scanning. Therefore, thoughout the reading lesson you should train students on these sub-reading skills. So, I suggest helping students comprehend the text and do the related exercises through encouraging the sub-reading skills. The classical way of teaching reading (read the text and answer the questions) does not work and students do not like and do not do it!
      Good luck
      🤍♥️💐

    Do I have to read the text for them in the while reading stage and they can repeate after me ?

    • @RACHIDSLIOUAT
      @RACHIDSLIOUAT  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello,
      No! No need to read for your students because it is a reading comprehention not Pronunciation lesson. Even students don't have to read loudly. What matters a lot is Reading Lessons is that the learners use The reading strategies and comprehend the text and do the related exercises. However, if your objective is something else, that's another matter!!!

    What are the learning strategies do we use in Reading skill?

    • @RACHIDSLIOUAT
      @RACHIDSLIOUAT  5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hello Fatiha, how are you?
      Well, in reading we can use several techniques that help us comprehend the text better, do the related tasks and learn, like:
      - Scanning
      - Skimming
      - SQ4R
      - Note talking
      - Context
      - Studying the Vocab
      - Using dictionary
      .......
      🔴 And for teachers, it is very important to train Ss on these techniques and skills.

    • @RACHIDSLIOUAT
      @RACHIDSLIOUAT  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hello,
      For the Reading lessons, ss can write:
      ✔️ Specific information about the text, especially for beginners (to help them speak or write)
      ✔️ If anything written on the B (explained explicitly), like skills, techniques or something related to the exercises (questions).
      ✔️ Vocabulary items (important a words or expressions).
      ✔️ New exercises (if it is the first time ss meet an exercise, such as vocabulary ex, reference ex, sentence completion ..) so as ss can go back to them if they got to do similar exercises.
      GOOD LUCK

      Very true ! 👍🏻 In pre-reading, ss can use them only to check their predictions, or for surveying the text. These are two important sub-skills that we are supposed to focus on in the reading lesson.

      I did not say ss can use them to predict!!! But rather to check their predictions. For example, if you ask them to predict questions the text might answer, you can give them some time to go through the text quickly and check whether their questions are truely answer or not.
