    Still remember Reading being in the Premier League. They always seemed a well run, efficient and highly stable club.
    So sad to see them in such a horrible mess these days. Hopefully they get it sorted out soon.

      Irish lads like Doyle and Hunt would bang in the goals 17 years ago. Le Fondre was their best player 11 years ago. Almost getting close to coming back in the Prem almost 7. Majeski sells the club to this whole Chinese running clown show. Hopes things get better for the Royals soon 👑

    we have done everything else but the EFL keep doing nothing letting him get away with tax avoidance ,paying salaries ,and its not the fans fault ,they should make him sell the club or do it for him ,this protest tell you that not just us but other clubs could get like this by owners who dont care about the fans we never hear or see him at the club

    Despite a few morons chanting "we'll dance when Derby die" when Reading visited Derby when Mel Morris was in charge at Derby, i really do hope they pull through as a fan you feel so helpless!!

      another ram here, and I completely agree with what you said. the fact that this is happening to so many clubs is worrying. hopefully they get out of this mess soon but something has to be done to stop this happening, which was supposedly promised after we almost went under.

      A little part of me was hoping the Oxford-Reading game in December wouldn't have been played due to Reading going bust.
      Would have added a nice touch of irony to the 'We'll never play you again' chants from Reading 20 years ago.

      ​​@@henben9215It has nothing to do with profiting and money its about protecting the assets (The club) from being run poorly with owners taking money out and not putting any in, it's such a bigger subject then "businesses making money" A man should not be able to buy a club that's been around for 100 years and run it into the ground and leave when it suits him. Most clubs foundations were built by the locals.

    Been through it as a bolton supporter.
    Protesting on the pitch, giving your team point deductions won't help the situation, your going to end up in league 2 at this rate.
    Yes something needs to be done, but do it smartly, don't push the club down more, the owner clearly doesnt care as long as it keeps existing he cleans a bit off the top for profit.

      As a Bolton fan what we did, didn't work either, we just got lucky with the club being sold. There needs to be major reform and protest can do that. Keep in mind the governing body is made up of mind bogglingly st upid human beings. We are talking people so brainless that when a Club is in finanical problems they deduct points and make it worse, genuinely I would love to talk to the person who came up with that rule were they dropped on the head as a kid, or was it a lobotomy. It would be like cutting a finger off the goal keeper everytime the other team score. It's like something Kafka would come up.

    People saying our protest made the situation worse. The situation is already bad enough and I think the protest has done very well it has made people talk about our situation more than ever. The guy in this interview spoke really well but he only mentioned a couple of our troubles. There's a mountain of them. Our owner used to own two other clubs and took them both out of existence.

    Never understood the club leaving Elm Park, a proper football ground. Madjeski Stadium never been sold out, only in Prem when tourists and day trippers come out of the woodwork

    this was in the middle of a game to protest against against a owner you wait until the FT whistle you do not pitch invade and that is why the game got abandoned if any Reading wants to protest then do it before or after the game this it's not planning ahead

      Yeah but gets more eyes I think reading fans are willing to risk real punishments for the chance the fa come in and punish poor ownership and to be honest if they receive punishment it won’t be popular with any football fans

    Pitch invasions (whatever is going on at a club) must not be allowed and the EFL must set a deterent for this type of protest, otherwise this is going to happen again and again - Port Vale fans must be reimbursed and given the 3 points, Reading should have a further points deduction and then hopefully their sh*te owner will finally let them rebuild for the future

      They were reimbursed. Also, the Port Vale fans knew this protest was happening well in advance and clapped for the Reading supporters. The Reading fans also paid it back by giving generous donations to the fundraiser Port Vale have going
