Will this overwork the amplifier from the change in resistance, into 2 ohms. Where does this get the power from? Did Honda already have separate channels ready just for those rear speakers?

great video. I suggest not wasting money on the factory panels. instead install larger 4" speakers just below the seat belt slot on the D pillar covers. surface mount these. it places them just behind 3rd row headrests.

Umm just so you are aware. In my 2013 Honda Odyssey Exl theleft wires you said are brown and orange are in fact brown grey. You put in video the wiring on screen incorrectly . You will find your speaker will work but less than other side. You will also get a click in speaker when you close side sliding door on that side. In your video you mention grey wire so I checked and that wire ran toward front with orange wire. I tested like should have and Once hooked up correctly it worked great.

You have me wondering if there are panels for my 2006 Honda Odyssey Ex van!

Where did you get those printouts at 0:25? I am looking for steps to remove the ceiling trim in rear, which has middle seatbelt goes in.

Can the sliding door cable be accessed through where the speaker is?

Great video, thank you for posting. Same question as n1sh1 on the amp. Last thing I would want to do it have to replace an amp later.

1:19 isn't that an air bag? Should we have power disconnected for a certain amount of time to keep airbags from deploying?

The airbag is mounted to the body of the car behind the plastic trim, not the trim itself. You wouldn't need to even touch the airbag so you'll be fine

It really pisses me off that Honda couldn’t do a better job designing that panel. I have a ‘old 14 and have been trying to figure out how to access the subwoofer, but didn’t feel like removing more than necessary. You should not have to practically remove the damn seatbelt in order to access a speaker location
Add in the fact that our 1990 accord that was well maintained and garage-kept completely crapped out around 140,000 miles and our current odyssey having a major transmission issue when it had about 30,000 miles on it, and ended up needing replaced, and this will most likely be the last Honda I ever own. Toyota dominates them in every way
