I love this concept. Vaal Hazak covered itself in rotting flesh and used it as armor. As time goes on, the flesh becomes fetid and black, with mold starting to sprout on the Elder Dragon. Eventually covering the Elder Dragon in massive mold piles and basically rendering the creature blind as the mold started to grow on the rotting flesh over its eyes. Fucking awesome man

In fact, Blackveil’s specific kind of mold and fungi provide an internal environment that can support Effluvium, allowing the Effluvium to survive in environments it otherwise couldn’t.

He's soo fucking cheap the black veil one I like the regular one but this one pisses me tf off I mean you can't do shit to it, it shots a bunch of fungus everywhere and does the Lazer thing and almost always one shots you, like he is not fun at all, shoots a bunch of spores all over the place I hate him.
I’m at this point in the story now, and I’m literally grinding for all I can. I’m getting a full blast weapon to break off his spores and complete effluvia resistance. The grind is really annoying but if that can’t save me, nothing can. I have a feeling this will be the toughest fight so far for me, which really says something, considering it took me two weeks to kill Velkhana.
@@songbird6414 crazy thing is there's monsters much tougher. G rank in GU was very intense, to solo them you had to be very good even if you built a comfy set. In Sunbreak they made the MR monsters relentless with very powerful punishers. You might hit a guard point but then get immediately smacked down by a follow up attack. Then of you get up immediately you get hit with another, sometimes even another.
Blackveil VH intro music is the best. It sort of gives me like an old Pokemon theme. I was so excited to fight home since he is one of my favorite monsters. He wasn't all that hard but it's probably do to the fact that I used the Tigrex armor. Either way, I love the intro music for Blackveil. I also like the battle music but it's the sort of "mistery" that it sets.

I hope Vaal Hazaak would have much more annoying status effects embedded to him. If Vaal Hazaak is the Lord of Bacteria then Blackveil Hazaak is the Lord of Fungus. He should be immune to the Frenzy or the Rampage viruses too and can control them.
david Delgadillo ive fought him 14 times and through my experience you can deal 504 damage just by using dragon element or fire element hammers 3rd charge attack if you’re a main to them
@@daviddelgadillo4502 he isn't super weak to one element or ailment but fire and dragon are still the most effective, the former working best on his flesh armour and the latter for broken parts.
That would be cool. Maybe a new variant called hellfire teostra or something. This variant would be able to use its Nova more often as Wells as it's attacks having more of a blast radius. Instead of red. It would be Grey with golden highlights sucks as the crown on its head and it's mane
I can't remember how many times I went back to camp to restock my healing stuff cause I was running from the effluvia all the time. I was soloing this guy for 30+ minutes and I was not dying.
it happens around the 24:00 mark, but while he's blind it has some pretty cool animations, if you walk away, it starts turning his head quickly like if he's trying to locate you by smell or sound.

If this guy can kill him without using Aia slash or clutch claw to knock it down then there is no way in hell anyone else that knows about the new stuff can't. though im sure he had some kind of healing gear cuz that mega potion was damn near topping him off. very nice run!
I really LOVE Vaal Hazak design wise. A disease controlling corpse Elder Dragon that can use the disease to also reanimate corpses to his bidding etc. And his design as in looks too. But his fight, LORD Capcom... And a Variant that only has a few new moves that arent even that devastating and no real use of the fungal growth in the Variants style of fighting also bugs me a lot
This one looks like he punishes close range fighters a lot more than the original. I pity the hammerbro that's keen to stay glued to his face for the entire fight.
