  • The question you’ve all been asking. The most asked about thing of my LinkedIn DMs.
    "Can you tell me more about the hiring process for Microsoft?"
    Well, you asked, and I have delivered!
    In today’s blog post and TH-cam video, we talk all about the steps that happened before, during and after my interview process with Microsoft.
    Disclaimer: Before we get into it, I just want to make it clear that this experience is unique to me and your experience may differ depending on the department, role and ever changing times.

    Thank you for spreading this about a bit. All interview processes are different with different companies. I even have a book about interview questions that my friend Chris gave me. I read a little bit of it. Currently though I am into strategising the success of JADER Ltd, Multitudex Ltd, Lige Ltd (On the shelf at present) and The Buku Platform Ltd. Remember the Malay word for Book is Buku, which I learned aged 7 when we lived in Changi circa 1971/2 ... Nice to see you in your element, again. :) Knowing the tech is 40% / 60 % is communicating what you want, how to get it, and how long. :)

      There is a ship called the World, a pub called The Worlds End (probably more than one of these) ... I have been to the Worlds End in the North, although did not have a pint. I would like to go on a cruise on the World. I do not want to fly again really - plenty of that under my belt (or braces) already. I think it is because I need to visit a friend from Uganda in Kenya. This might be in a while maybe 3 years. When you make plans sometimes they do not materialise, sometimes they take a completely different slant. I have never been to Africa. :)

    Good reminder of how important candidate experience is: the final round with the org leader sounded like a great showcase of company culture.
    PS Videos looking awesome!

    While I was watching this video I wonder if you plan of sharing a video of a mock interview on how to implement api and endpoints? It going to be very helpful to beginner like me.
    I am approaching c# and api

    I realize listening to your experience that me handing my notice in before I joined Microsoft was a gamble 😅 great guidance to wait until AFTER background checks, not handing it in as soon as you get the offer 😂

    Could you please share more about pair programming interviews like what kind of task do companies ask and can we use internet?

    • @Jade-Codes
      @Jade-Codes  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes I was able to use the Internet, for this particular task it was to implement a book store. I had to add a book, get a book and list all books.

    Hi Jade, thank you so much for this video. I have a question about ageism in the tech industry. How bad is the ageism in the tech industry?

    • @Jade-Codes
      @Jade-Codes  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Ageism can definitely occur on both sides of the spectrum I've seen, but a good company will have training in place to counteract that

    Hi Jade, as a student I'd like to start writing technical blogs but im not too sure how too sure how to get started as i dont know whether id be qualified to write any topics and dont know what to write about. Do you have any advice on that please?

    • @Jade-Codes
      @Jade-Codes  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      One thing I would say is there is always someone looking to learn from you. In your situation it might be other students trying to get into your college. You could easily start writing technical content related to the courses you're doing and also your experience of getting into your college.

    When do candidates get to skip leetcode problems?

    • @Jade-Codes
      @Jade-Codes  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      So in the UK I think they decide based on level, amount of applications and per hiring round.
