    Would you want your Diavel to have forward or mid-controls? Please comment below.

    I have the non S in this bike (2022), just did 1100km on it in 2 days. I couldn't believe how comfortable it is. No screen either.
    I had a 2017 Ninja 1000sx prior to this bike and the Diavel is more comfortable in every scenario which I was not expecting.
    I absolutely love it and recommend it very highly.

    I've really been hoping Ducati would update the Diavel with the V4 engine. It'd also be a perfect candidate for adaptive cruise and blind spot detection - in which case maybe they'll add something like the Multistrada mirrors like you mention in this vid. Hoping it's gonna happen, in which case my wish list might need some serious revision! Great review as always.

      Thank you very much Bruce. From what I understand March may be the time for the Diavel before. The mirrors and Blindspot would be a great addition to this bike

    I've owned the red Diavel 1260s since November 2020 and it's my favourite bike by far of all the bikes I've owned. Not sure I'll like the v4 (I have it on order) as I love the sound of my v2 with Termignoni exhaust. This bike has mid controls as it's not meant to be a cruiser (that's the job of the XDiavel), it's more of a muscled naked and as such I find the handlebars to be perfect just as they are.

    Honestly, I want this bike more than any other bike I ever seen. My dream bike is a Bmw GS 12 yellow and black. And this exact Ducati. I have a 2019 Africa twin in excellent condition and it may get traded in soon. The Ducati looks comfortable. The Africa twin hurts my ass after 1 hour I’m riding side saddle.

    I’ve heard from a lot of club members that they also wished the handlebars were a little more swept back towards the rider they would think it’s the Best Ducati for short arses😉 Rembo, how come you’re the only American to want to talk Metric everything rather than your imperial? Great stuff! Please find some twisty roads🙏 Give a bit of change to the homeless guy too.

    Great informational video. I have a Monster 1200R and now need something not so aggressive in terms of riding position (read old guy with aches and pains) and am looking for the power of the 1200R with the comfort that mirrors my age. This seems to be a good candidate. Got my eye on the Black and Steel and will give it serious consideration. Thanks again for the info Rembo

    If you're basically 6' there is no reason to feel like the bike is too stretched out. Maybe the upright position isn't for you

    Great review! Thanks for posting👍🏻
    I’m 6’3” and 245 coming from a HD Road King Special. Looking for something that weighs less and handles better. Narrowed down my choices to a Diavel (1260 S or XDiavel S) and a Streetfighter V4S. Seems like the Diavel models have much more usable power, but love the style and seating position of the Streetfighter.
    Thoughts?

    • @RemboUSMC
      @RemboUSMC  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      If you are coming from a Road King, I would do the Diavel first. In March they will have the Diavel V4 if you want to wait. The Ducati Streetfighter is too small for you.

      @@RemboUSMC Awesome. Thanks for the advice! Was leaning more towards a Diavel so appreciate you reinforcing that! Good Lord, a V4 Diavel sounds badass! Hope they still keep the torque down low!

    This Diavel makes no sense with forward controls in my mind , if you want forward go for the Xdiavel 🙂 . Anyway i really like this one and if i could afford a 2. bike i buy it !

    • @RemboUSMC
      @RemboUSMC  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I think for someone who comes from a regular cruiser, the X Devil with the forward controls would be welcome addition. I really have no issues with forward controls

  • @ricokimbro4316
    @ricokimbro4316 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I’m really confused? Why does the x-diavel have the forward controls,but small passenger seat and the 1260 has mid-controls and a larger passenger seat? It would be nice if they did the disbelief lineup like triumph does with the rocket3. Sporty version R and touring version GT. Have the 1260 come standard with windscreen, big passenger seat with sissy bar,detachable bags and heated grips. The X barebones for speed. I sold my Harley softail breakout and narrowed my choices for my next bike to the 1260 or the rocket3 GT. My wife rides so passenger comfort is important!

    • @zepenance9571
      @zepenance9571 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The standard diavel is more fun and more comfortable than the xdiavel. The rocket 3 is super comfy but... boring imo. It barely revs to 6k RPM and feels like you are riding a brick. However! Its cheaper than the diavel by a lot in accessories and maintenance. I ended up going with a diavel 1260 S and have zero regrets.

    What do you think of the Diavel vs. the Multistrada for general around town riding like that? I just picked up a 2019 Diavel 1260 today. I find my Multistrada V4s feels more powerful but the Diavel to be slightly more nimble, and just slightly. This may sound strange but really, the Diavel is just kinda mehh.

    • @RemboUSMC
      @RemboUSMC  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think the only difference may be some level of comfort depending upon which model of the Diavel you got. With that bike, you are sitting in the bike, with a Multistrada, you are on the bike.

    • @Skipdigiddy
      @Skipdigiddy ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@RemboUSMC After two days on the Diavel, I can say for certain, divers do not see you at a much higher rate than when on the Multistrada.
      Just today a car pulled out, stopped, pull out again, then stopped, then turned left in front of me at the last minute. Very close. Lesson learned.

    Neither -- would get a Streetfighter before this any day. The latest Ducati TFT's are beautiful and modern, so what's the excuse for this LCD crap? Disappointing for something always in the rider's line of sight, and especially at this price point.

    Ducati's styling fell off a cliff once Massimo Tamburini left. There isn't a modern Ducati that I'd buy, they're all ugly, just to varying degrees (Diavel, Multistrada, Panigale, Street Fighter, whatever else is in their lineup)...
