- Victory day is today. Mhd Tuning gave us a handful of features a lot of us N54 people have been requesting for years now! While it is true that similar features were available on other platforms, MHD flashing options should yield more consistent and safer results due to the DME controlling most of the functions. The main feature we will be testing in this video is Antilag. Let's see if it was worth the wait!

Looks like MHD put out another update (V3.03) that addresses the jerkiness when letting off the throttle.
It fixed the clunk under light throttle release for me. But I also have the burble issue. 2007 335i 6AT.

@@ysljay9061 I have burbles flashed at a off setting in base mode. But it still does burbles. It should not do that.

I think it’s interesting that y’all weren’t too impressed by the anti lag. I randomly set mine to build 12psi and it’s pretty damn gnarly leaving from a 40 roll and a 60 roll. I have been very happy with it. I do have mmp stage 3 gen 2 turbos so it’s possible that I experience better results because they aren’t as responsive as those 17t’s. People have said my powerband looks like a single turbo so that is sort of congruent with how y’all said this feature would really benefit a single turbo car

@@1SIK335 they’re awesome. Make great power and the car is ridiculously fast. They do seem to have a “big” single turbo powerband and part of me thinks I would like something a little smaller / responsive and more useable power, but they’re not necessarily laggy at all.
I bought my car with them installed already. The previous owner had the rear turbo blow up within 10 miles, got it replaced under warranty and they have like 40-50k miles on them now.
If I had to pick twins to upgrade to, I would choose RB turbos. Quality product and great customer service.
I can never get ahold of MMP. Their customer service is horrible. I’ve heard claims that they’re like basically out of business even though they still have a website you can buy products on.

I have the jerkiness when letting off throttle too. I also lost my burbles. Car doesn't burble like before, way quieter and doesn't happen when tapping the pedal.

Try the PE exhaust mod, it's like day and night.
Lost mine to any one figure out why
same even with the PE exhaust mod, assuming it might have something to do with anti-lag features although I’m not sure.

The head lights on that e90 are simply beautiful.
Only last week i was at M world at Goodwood "Need for Speed festival" in the Uk and the head lights are as good as the brand new M3 touring, M3, M4 and M4 CSL. wow!!!!

Or even just trying to tune from ACN91 to a 95 when I get race gas, it’s just kind of annoying to keep switching by doing a rewrite. Can’t wait for the OTS map switching.

@@NardoGreyRam I’m about 10k in and I’ve had no issues but I don’t race my car everyday I do pulls I’m tuned by vu but I don’t constantly beat on my car I have a built motor and built auto they’ve handled the power so far

I tried the antilag on my stock twins. The antilag was “working” but it still hits harder and noticeably faster just stomping on it.

Damn I have had the jerking since my manual swap I also don’t have burbles unless I give it around 2% throttle they don’t work when I let off fully
The 15 psi limit is throughout all tunes to my knowledge. I’m guessing it’s due to the instant wave of massive torque and load on the motor

I had the issue and it’s fixed now, still gotta figure out anti-lag though because I’m not getting it too crazy rolling, just from a dig.
I have a feeling that the DCT version of the N54 will have better anti lag

While you have the E90 apart, make sure you convert to B58 coils from nexsys

So I tried the v3 tune and had the same throttle closure issue. I went to start my car the next morning and it wouldn’t even idle before dying. I got two codes that had to do with the throttle body. I flashed my car back to stock and the problem went away. I will try v3.03 tomorrow and see if the issue is gone. 2008 335i e92 6mt

I have a stock turbo n54 with All piping upgraded, fuel pumps upgraded, on e50 and I don’t get full boost till 4K rpm, what could be causing that??? Cause if what he’s saying about the car being on boost low down in the RPM range with the TT set up is true, then something isn’t right 😬
(Also have VRSF 7” Intercooler, downpipes, secondary cat delete, intakes, catchcan, and more things I’m forgetting right now) MHD stage 2 plus

What's the telemetry app you are using to see boost?
What settings did you use , I have the motiv flex fuel kit and tuned it with MHD but it stays in limp mode

I have just bought a 2012 335is dct, it has downpipes, secondary cats and oem performance rear muffler, not really happy with the sound. I will definitely look into some true single options.

Please please on a budget have a 07 335 twin Turbo donor swapping Everything into a 06, 330i 6speed. I am a mechanic work on BMWs and Mercedes every day. I’m doing this at my house in Eden evenings after work I know most of the tricks that I need to do any help or responses or equipment would be greatly appreciated trying to do something nobody else has done.

So I installed the new MHD antilag on my 07 E92 FBO stage 2 plus with water methanol. Hit 18psi on the antilag however my drive shaft now clunks like a drum. Seems to me the stock center support bearing can't withstand the power load. So I'm replacing mine with the JXB Drive shaft Center Support Bearing Carrier upgrade and bushings as the old stock ones may be a weak point. @vehiclevirals

I’m manual so what I did is hold the clutch in and that engages launch control and then pushed the button at the same time. Don’t know how to do it in the auto

For the burble issue you can turn them off by turning them on lol. Turn them on and turn your duration to 0 of you want to turn them off.

Seems that break boosting builds another 5psi too. I guess once they work it out it will be better
@@VehicleVirals hey got another question though. My n54 only makes 16 psi on stock twins. I’m awd but I think I’m only making around 400hp. Anyway to free up any remaining hp? (I’m fbo relocated inlets, outlets, down pipes, intake manifold, charge pipe/bov, exhaust, and 5inch stepped intercooler
@@micahdornbusch3555if you're on an OTS map use E30/E40. If you're already using E, then you'd need a custom tune. But at that point you'd probably be pushing those turbos too hard. I made 475WHP on stock turbos, same mods on e30.
@@micahdornbusch3555 MHD Stage 1+ makes around 18 psi. Maybe you could perform a smoke test to check boost leaks.
