Quincy understood his mission when he came to this life. He knew he had to create and build the most beautiful, powerful, hopeful, captivating and historic musical legacy during his lifetime! What an honor and blessing placed within his spirit while being a humble and gentle man. We will always cherish the love he expressed through his music and musicianship. He truly was a Titan of sound.🎶💜🎶 I loved that his middle name is Delight.. Quincy Jones was an extraordinary Delight in all of our lives! Rest in profound peace Quincy, you're life mission continues into the next realm🙏🏽🕊💜
Damn!!!! Not again!!! Another Great of our Culture has died!😭 Quincy Jones a GENIUS, LEGEND, ICON and TITAN... SEVEN DECADES, in MUSIC in MANY GENRES JAZZ, POP, R&B and HIP HOP... His Resume... WOW!! First a MUSICIAN, WRITER, PRODUCER (in Music, Films, Stage,Television and Concerts) ENTERTAINER and CONDUCTOR.. Mr Quincy Jones THANK YOU Sir 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽for Contributions to the AMERICAN Songbook of OUR LIVES.. My Condolences to His Family and Friends, May His Soul Rest in Eternal Peace 🙏🏽✝💐🕊️
I like how Quincy went back to the book, as the source. He didn't simplify he or Spielberg's role. He simply touched on their role in highlighting something that was already cultivated; he gave credit where it was due. (Commas placed intentionally.) Note: the appropriate and non-leading questions. Touching on something some were curious about with tact instead of seeking a wow factor. Thank you, interviewer, Tibitts. Current podcasters and interviewers should study this for info on what good interviewing looks like. Encouraging thoughtful and meaningful responses instead of the go with the flow muck which is everywhere. This interview was an art, not a pull at being seen. They were both so comfortable, direct, and articulate. I can't speak on it enough. It's been a while since I've seen a good interview and non-leading (non-insulting, fact-based, well researched) discourse. 🥂 To a deminishing art. Thank you for this.
Yeap even in his Netflix special years ago, he was in/out of the hospital with CHF and other ailments. I knew God would call him home soon, I just knew it:(
It was a fictional story written by an absolute misandris. It singlehandedly made BM the final boss villain of all men and reinforced racist stereotypes about BM and was an absolute setback.
Just because the character was black doesn't mean he represented black men alone. You don't have to be black to be abusive. Any man can be that. When I read the book I saw him as any man.
@@Linneydenise bw didn’t look at it as fictional and ran with the trope of black men being their oppressors when that wasnt the case. Need more specification?
