As for body cameras, they should not be able to be turned off by any officer wearing it. It should turned in during roll call in & out by the CO. That will stop the "oops, the camera got turned off during bad acts." And that marker spray to identify suspects us just readily open for wrongful arrest. I have 1 word "OVER SPRAY". IF THE SUSPECT IS TARGETED IN A CROWD... WELL NEED I SAY MORE?
There's one thing wrong with ur solution though. A lot of departments don't go to the station to do "roll call" & wait to be dismissed onto the streets. They just go "on duty" over the radio when leaving the house or when they get to their designated patrol area.

@@theengineer2017 Good idea with the automatic backup, its just that with their budget on spending probly wont allow for such a solution, and their daily cams battery capacity and memory is not fit for it to be on for a long time, and i know they probly wont get the budget for the solution provided by the other commentator either :(

A jet boat ( Or a Jet-ski ) on the other hand does not. So there's a pretty good chance that anything with a jet drive would just go right over it.

I carry……AND wear a discrete civilian body camera (Amazon or TEMU of course) I encourage people to do the same. There are even rifle sights (I own one) with cameras on them now, that if you need to use lethal force, you can show the officers why……IN REAL TIME‼️
