1. NewJeans' recent songs just sound so much like background muaic. I think I'd be more satisfied if they released just the instrumentals or just accapella version of their recent songs. How sweet, right now and bubble gum are all pretty boring with no actual killing part (except that part toxic lover, you're no better in how sweet, I must say that part is catchy and decent). 6.I agree with Riize's comeback. Boom boom bass and the whole mini album is amazing. I just hate that Seunghan isn't here, he would've nailed Boom boom bass.
WORK is meant to be laid back and chill. And it’s very reminiscent of early Ateez songs. If you listen to their discography besides title tracks then WORK isn’t really that much of a sound switch up. Though, they are definitely leaning in more with the latin and hip hop inspired sound and I’m living for it. Not every comeback needs to be theatrical and heavy as guerrilla, bouncy, crazy form, ect. Though It’s hilarious seeing ppl say they are trying to pander to a western audience when most of their fanbase are quite literally international lol. This is the transition period that Hongjoong warned us about back in December 2022 right before Halazia dropped. He did 3 shorts and in one of them he said that the ending of The World series would mark the midpoint of the lore (it is already written, has a beginning, a middle and an end). They plan everything months and sometimes years in advance so don't despair; they know what they are doing. This is a point of reflection for them and they basically stripped everything back and they are making a lot of references to places, people, music that influenced them pre-debut. Read the lyrics of the songs, watch the content they released showing us what they go through with creating and learning new choreography and how they have to audition for the lines they get in the music. Even Dingo KV shows how much they have grown and matured as performers (as per usual, they are the 1st 4th gen. boy group to do KV.) We can see that they did not just get here from nowhere; it was hard work and a fandom that stuck around to watch and appreciate the process that got them where they are today. They have a heavy schedule this season with so many concerts and festivals so it's ok to have a more retrospective mood for a comeback.
Work isn’t my fave either but I can’t lie I appreciate a more laidback approach from time to time, like we got with Illusion and Wave, or even Inception and Thanks. Heavy stuff has it to itself that it’s heavy and I think we all are benefiting from a break from it, boys as well. I enjoy seeing them so silly once in a while 😂

While I like all of NewJean’s songs personally, I do see where people are coming from when they say the music and concepts are starting to get repetitive. Literally, everyone single one of their songs - with the exception of New Jeans, Be Who You Are, Zero, and Gods - is about love or having a crush on someone and they’re really sticking to the nostalgia, 90’s/early 2000’s aesthetic or concept. I get that they can’t do a whole lot just yet with the girls being minors, but I just really hope that they don’t get stuck in the same song syndrome

I feel like after 'get up', nwjns hasn't been the same. They debuted a fresh and down to earth concept with Attention, Hype Boy, Cookie, and Hurt. Compare those to the Get Up album. There's nothing wrong with changing sound but it just feels like the sound is more trend chasers now than trend setters. Even looking at the duration of songs and the styling, you can tell that *most* their later songs are more cute short songs with no longevity than the era that was Attention - OMG.

It seems to me that The Black Label allows a lot of freedom to their artists. The fact that Taeyang of BigBang transfered there when we know he is really hands on her career is something that reinforces that idea. Somi seems to have that mindset too so I think it is good for Rosè to go with them, hopefully we will listening something from her soon.

Rose joining Black Label is all good, and it signals that: (1) Rose cares about the Korean market as much as her international market, (2) she knows what her core skills are -- singing, entertaining, making music. the business side needs a different skill set that she may not have expertise on or might distract her from her music. so putting ego aside, it makes sense for her to work with existing companies than establishing her own management company; as long as she is being smart about her contracts and financial arrangements, (3) she values her relationships: from her very long instagram posts, one can see she is sentimental person and it seems she and Teddy have a good relationship. While she's taking a different path with career now as a soloist, and experiment and expand, she wants to remain 'grounded' by holding on to people she trusts. Nothing wrong with that.

I personally think that NewJeans is really being affected by all the Min Hee Jin drama and it is reflected in their new comebacks, because in my opinion their new songs are good, yes, maybe they are not as good as their first songs. but they still maintain their level and it is also their Japanese debut, and they are not that famous. Considering Blackpinks success, either you guys are assuming these girls have very little intelligence and are irresponsible in their choices, or you’re assuming you know far more than these idols do about their own career, or you’re assuming the work YG has put in for Blackpink is entirely irrelevant to their success and status that the girls have garnered. All are entirely wrong and if we’re looking at whether the choice of staying at YG or one of his affiliated companies is a good move, it absolutely is. Let’s not forget, the girls have barely made any effort to do any work in creating their own content, regardless if they supposedly had a choice, which they 100% do. So, for Rose to re-sign with The Black Label, a company which can actually provide and re-create the same amount of success, if not more, ( has a track record to prove it) it’s a very good move. She may be entirely behind in the basic education of it all, that’s due to her lack of effort in finding out how things work, but she at least had the base which can be built upon to do better. Lisa has dancing and even she’s very behind in regards to many aspects of actual dance. There are so very many female and male idols that can dance around her, while she’s stuck with the same old and repeating what others do. Considering Rose is in the very agency that created, formed and brought up Blackpink to the heights that it’s in now and considering the fan base knows so very little about anything that occurs, and how the fan base neglects what the idols actually choose, she’ll be perfectly fine in being with this label. It’s extremely redundant to go off and create your own label. Basically every idol is doing it and it truly shows no other purpose than to be “independent.” Which can easily be a bad thing. If everyone is “independent” in label, it creates a bad market place and doesn’t really show an enterprise worth building. Maybe they need the company by law to be able to have certain business dealings, which is fair. To be honest, from what every single Blackpink member who “created” their own agency has shown, it’s *very* clearly a “company” that’s there to serve them and them alone. They show practically zero signs of utilizing these companies to do anything more than promote their own individual activities, rather than being one that acts like a label. They have all utilized their own “business” accounts to promote activities which have zero relation to their career or path to said career, which gives even more credence to these “labels” being there just so they don’t sign with YG. 1. NewJeans' recent songs just sound so much like background muaic. I think I'd be more satisfied if they released just the instrumentals or just accapella version of their recent songs. How sweet, right now and bubble gum are all pretty boring with no actual killing part (except that part toxic lover, you're no better in how sweet, I must say that part is catchy and decent).

WORK is meant to be laid back and chill. And it’s very reminiscent of early Ateez songs. If you listen to their discography besides title tracks then WORK isn’t really that much of a sound switch up. Though, they are definitely leaning in more with the latin and hip hop inspired sound and I’m living for it. Not every comeback needs to be theatrical and heavy as guerrilla, bouncy, crazy form, ect. Though It’s hilarious seeing ppl say they are trying to pander to a western audience when most of their fanbase are quite literally international lol. He did 3 shorts and in one of them he said that the ending of The World series would mark the midpoint of the lore (it is already written, has a beginning, a middle and an end). They plan everything months and sometimes years in advance so don't despair; they know what they are doing. This is a point of reflection for them and they basically stripped everything back and they are making a lot of references to places, people, music that influenced them pre-debut. Read the lyrics of the songs, watch the content they released showing us what they go through with creating and learning new choreography and how they have to audition for the lines they get in the music. Even Dingo KV shows how much they have grown and matured as performers (as per usual, they are the 1st 4th gen. boy group to do KV.) We can see that they did not just get here from nowhere; it was hard work and a fandom that stuck around to watch and appreciate the process that got them where they are today. They have a heavy schedule this season with so many concerts and festivals so it's ok to have a more retrospective mood for a comeback.
Work isn’t my fave either but I can’t lie I appreciate a more laidback approach from time to time, like we got with Illusion and Wave, or even Inception and Thanks. Heavy stuff has it to itself that it’s heavy and I think we all are benefiting from a break from it, boys as well. I enjoy seeing them so silly once in a while 😂

I've always tried to keep an open mind when it comes to New Jeans and their music, but right about now it's just sad to see what they have become! The most disappointing part about this, is that they are so talented but they are unable to show it because their music has become very monotone!

I feel like after 'get up', nwjns hasn't been the same. They debuted a fresh and down to earth concept with Attention, Hype Boy, Cookie, and Hurt. Compare those to the Get Up album. There's nothing wrong with changing sound but it just feels like the sound is more trend chasers now than trend setters. Even looking at the duration of songs and the styling, you can tell that *most* their later songs are more cute short songs with no longevity than the era that was Attention - OMG.

It seems to me that The Black Label allows a lot of freedom to their artists. The fact that Taeyang of BigBang transfered there when we know he is really hands on her career is something that reinforces that idea. Rose joining Black Label is all good, and it signals that: (1) Rose cares about the Korean market as much as her international market, (2) she knows what her core skills are -- singing, entertaining, making music. the business side needs a different skill set that she may not have expertise on or might distract her from her music. so putting ego aside, it makes sense for her to work with existing companies than establishing her own management company; as long as she is being smart about her contracts and financial arrangements, (3) she values her relationships: from her very long instagram posts, one can see she is sentimental person and it seems she and Teddy have a good relationship. While she's taking a different path with career now as a soloist, and experiment and expand, she wants to remain 'grounded' by holding on to people she trusts. Nothing wrong with that.

2. I was a bit worried about Rosè joining THEBLACKLABEL, because what if she just becomes another Somi who barely gets any comebacks? But, I do believe that she knows what’s best for herself. I just hope she gets more comebacks. She has such great soloist vibes and has SO MUCH potential.
She only sign a management contract not a exclusive contract like Somi and the contract will manage her Korean activity but she also sign other American big agency for her global activities
I think Somi writes her own music so I think her slow pace is for her to have the time to compose, write and plan her comebacks. She seems to be really hands down in her own career.
1. Their 2024 releases were not my cup of tea tbh. Their recent releases didn’t grow on me like their previous ones. The only song I like, that they have releases this year so far, is HOW SWEET. The rest were just boring for me.

1. Get Up is NJ’s best song(Cool With You following behind), it’s a shame it’s so short. All the other songs sound the same (not saying their songs are trash, i love them) and them releasing so many songs at once,, i’m assuming it’s to get the spotlight off of Min HeeJin.
2. I was hoping Rose would go to another entertainment cuz as a Blink, Rose had a good potential as a solo artist and she never got her flowers as a member of the group as a good dancer and singer. I hope the label lets her have some freedom and give her support.

I personally think that NewJeans is really being affected by all the Min Hee Jin drama and it is reflected in their new comebacks, because in my opinion their new songs are good, yes, maybe they are not as good as their first songs. but they still maintain their level and it is also their Japanese debut, and they are not that famous. The truth is that it is surprising to see how their situation changed, how they went from being loved to hated in just a few days and how that really affected them.

Those are two different statements and questions.
Considering Blackpinks success, either you guys are assuming these girls have very little intelligence and are irresponsible in their choices, or you’re assuming you know far more than these idols do about their own career, or you’re assuming the work YG has put in for Blackpink is entirely irrelevant to their success and status that the girls have garnered.
All are entirely wrong and if we’re looking at whether the choice of staying at YG or one of his affiliated companies is a good move, it absolutely is.
Let’s not forget, the girls have barely made any effort to do any work in creating their own content, regardless if they supposedly had a choice, which they 100% do.
There’s much evidence to even show and suggest the work they do end up doing for their content, is very low level in comparison to what YG and his team has ever put out, never mind in comparison to other idols works.
These girls, in addition to all of the above, have showcased very little interest or knowledge in how anything works for themselves or the industry as a whole.
They can barely even speak on the process ignore a songs created, that’s not behind a Grade 1 level basic understanding of how things work.
You can’t keep calling grown women “cute” because they speak like children, have consistent fumbles and struggle to put words together in a comprehensive manner.
It shows just how little these girls truly pay attention and actually go after what they espouse as their dreams.
So, for Rose to re-sign with The Black Label, a company which can actually provide and re-create the same amount of success, if not more, ( has a track record to prove it) it’s a very good move.
To add to it, Rose is the only member who showcases any actual ability to write lyrics, play instruments, understand music, comprehend the production side of it all and then some.
She may be entirely behind in the basic education of it all, that’s due to her lack of effort in finding out how things work, but she at least had the base which can be built upon to do better.
Lisa has dancing and even she’s very behind in regards to many aspects of actual dance. There are so very many female and male idols that can dance around her, while she’s stuck with the same old and repeating what others do.
Considering Rose is in the very agency that created, formed and brought up Blackpink to the heights that it’s in now and considering the fan base knows so very little about anything that occurs, and how the fan base neglects what the idols actually choose, she’ll be perfectly fine in being with this label.
It’s extremely redundant to go off and create your own label. Basically every idol is doing it and it truly shows no other purpose than to be “independent.”
Which can easily be a bad thing.
If everyone is “independent” in label, it creates a bad market place and doesn’t really show an enterprise worth building.
Maybe they need the company by law to be able to have certain business dealings, which is fair.
To be honest, from what every single Blackpink member who “created” their own agency has shown, it’s *very* clearly a “company” that’s there to serve them and them alone.
They show practically zero signs of utilizing these companies to do anything more than promote their own individual activities, rather than being one that acts like a label.
They have all utilized their own “business” accounts to promote activities which have zero relation to their career or path to said career, which gives even more credence to these “labels” being there just so they don’t sign with YG.
