I think there are two types of omnipotence: True omnipotence and Practical omnipotence. True Omnipotence means you could really do whatever, there are no limits. Practical Omnipotence is when you could do all that IS possible, if it´s possible to do you can do it. Think of the paradox of the unliftable rock. Could an omnipotent being create a rock so heavy that they could not lift it. True omnipotence would somehow be able to do it, since they can do anything and says screw logic and rules. Where as someone who is practically omnipotent would not be able to do it, since it would not make sense for them to create a rock which they could not lift, they can do anything as long as it is possible. Omnipotence is a weird concept and as such there are many interpretations to it. My favourite is practical omnipotence because i think rules and logic would almost always be relevant to some level.
Another fictional "Omnipotence", in fact the one you see the most, I'll call it "Dimensional Omnipotence". This "Omnipotence" is where a character is Omnipotent within his "Own" Domain/Spatial Dimension and lesser Dimensions, but not so in Higher dimensions. Example: Stan Lee is virtually Omnipotent within his "Own" domain the Marvel comics universe. He manifest himself within his domain as the TOAA exercising omnipotence, but in our reality, which is a higher Spatial Dimension than the Marvel comics verse which we view as 2d comics, he's only as powerful as any other human.

This reminds me of the old days of the brief arguments about the Beyonder(s). Technically speaking, Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars was the first time we see the Beyonder. But there was this story back in Marvel Two-In-One #61-63 which mentions The Beyonders as a race so powerful they are beyond understanding. The Thing, Her, and a bunch of other cosmic heroes are searching for the grave of Adam Warlock so Her can resurrect him and create a perfect mate for herself. They go to Counter Earth, the world created by the High Evolutionary and protected by Warlock, but find the planet has been taken away by some aliens and put in the possession of the Beyonders for a museum piece. I'm sure someone, somewhere has retconned all of this. But, anyway, just a fun fact... As to the real world, I HATED this time in comics! You could say it was my first Marvel/DC extinction event as a collector! Secret Wars was just this series that stood alone and was the catalyst for a lot of changes in the Marvel Universe. But it was kind of it's own thing. You could love it and embrace it. Or ignore it for the most part. But Secret Wars II was to Marvel what Crisis was to DC, in the sense that this stupid event took over the whole Marvel Universe for around nine months! If anything, it's ramifications were way less than the original Secret Wars, since it didn't leave much of a mark on the Marvel Universe. But it was similar to Crisis in the sense that EVERYTHING was crossing over with it! The precursor to these damned modern events that interrupt every story going on, but have no real effect on the universe. I'm looking at you, King in Black! And Secret Wars II was tonally such an annoying book. It start out very comedic with the Beyonder taking human form and exploring humanity. These issues didn't really bother me. I didn't want all the crossover stuff, but the main was ok. But in the middle, it starts taking a dark turn, and EVERYTHING starts crossing over and it just became this " Ho-Hum....Another Beyonder crossover messing with my favorite books' stories. When will this crap end?!" It honestly got to a point where I was so tired of Beyonder junk that I turned to other books for my comic fix. This was when I started collecting Elfquest and Robotech stuff. Which wasn't a bad thing, since I love both of those properties to this day. But Secret Wars II was definitely my first experience with overblown events that get out of hand!

Beyonder is a little overrated. LT limited his omnipotence to only his Multiverse. As well as this, he got his powers copied by Protégé. He is stated to be only stronger than the Multiverse by millions of times (Ik Marvel is High Outerversal). We also know that the Phoenix is relative to LT and she was able to whoop his M-Body. Molecule Man had subconscious barriers and was a Mortal so he couldn't use his power like him. Beyonder True Form is TOAA Level but only relative to an avatar. Oblivion is relative to TOAA and he may have a chance. And finally Cyttorak may be able to resist some attacks (don't think he would win though).
