I own a heating and cooling company I have been working 2 years out of a four-door Jeep Wrangler I'm getting ready to get a van from a friend and you have some great ideas right now the van is butt naked I love your layout and yes you are correct everyone personalized their own thank you so much for making this video very much appreciated it keep up the great work until next time
great idea with the plywood & framing...prob the cleanest & most organized van i ever saw...i keep a shop vac on the van...a small one...ridgid makes a 4 1/2 gal portable one that looks like a tool box...great for small clean up jobs...i also keep a duffle bag with a full change of clothes...carpenter jeans & company t-shirt, socks & sweatshirt. great video 👍
Fantastic van setup! Best I've seen. One valuable tool is missing. It is called "The Tank" vacuum pump oil change caddy sold by JB industries. You can use the JB vacuum pump blow down procedure, to drain your vacuum pump in 15 seconds. The Tank is good for 5 JB oil changes. I invented and patented it. I've been a tech for 47 years. I am now very part time and in my twilight days of service. My bones speak to me on a daily basis.
You invented that?? Sir I absolutely have that caddy! It's kept under the shelving next to my vacuum pump oil, I use it weekly! This video is over a year old, not sure if I had it in for this video. My hat's off to you sir, techs always are jealous when they see me change my oil right in the van in minutes. I also have brought it right to the repair site when I know multiple changes will be needed. Thanks so much for watching, and love the caddy!
Yes. Changing vacuum pump oil has always been a pain in the butt for me. I received my U.S. patent in 2012, but most of the techs don't even know it exists. When you look at the cost of the Appion and the Fieldpiece vacuum pumps, JB pump cost is very reasonable with a Tank. Most techs are not aware of the super fast blow down procedure of the JB into the Tank. The marketing of it has been poor at best by JB. Maybe you could do a video on Blowing down your JB pump into the Tank and easily refilling it without any spills. With all this junk about China eating our lunch all the time, I am proud to say that my Tank and ALL of JB'S line is American made and always will be. Thank you for all you do. Billy
Leaving for San Marcos, Tx for and HVAC program, Then going to Denison, IA for Advanced Training, Your Videos Help Me Alot and I hope you continue to make them!
Very, very nicely done. Your OCD just triggered my OCD into overdrive. I thought my van was organized. Yours puts mine to shame. Awesome... Thanks for sharing..
Great video @Andrew Greaves. Well organized. My only suggestion would be, store your rain gear and arc flash above any chemicals or contaminants. This will help prevent them accidentally spilling onto the porous fabrics and you not realizing until you put it on and receive chemical burns/ etc. Stay safe out there.
Very organized van I all ways tell myself I'm going to keep my van that way but every time I clean and organize it after a week or 2 it's back to it's normal trashed self that's the only thing I miss about doing installs is having a helper to clean my van
AK HVAC Unfortunately not on FB. My last company had zero overhead. Just a truck and R22.... no ladders . Everything else just got charged to the job but when our contactors are $1500 or so you can't carry all of them. I carried a lot of my own fittings etc for testing purposes. It's nice having room! Again... great truck! I
I just watched your video. I wish we didn't have to carry a lot of parts I live in the north east (PENNSYLVANIA) I work on gas oil heat pumps and a/c equipment so we have parts on van for all of that plus we do the installing to so that means more stuff. Some time's I wish I had a semi with a 30 foot trailer lol
I just subbed up to your channel AKGreaves. I am moving into a newer van on Monday 5-1-17. I am sure it is a Ford Transit 2017 model. I will let you know if I like it. I am going to miss the 2500 Chevy Express from 2010. It never failed me over the years.
So far so good. I got the 250 Model. Quite a bit more floor storage room in the back. It rides and accelerates very nice for high way driving. I got more refrigerant tank holders now, only had 3, now I got 6. Overall, I like it. Small gas tank on it, seem to have to fill up more, biggest complaint so far.
Gots the OCD just like me. Excellent video. Your other Veto videos are excellent too! I am in a different industry, but will defiantly take some organizational tips. You should be at 100k subscribers at least. Keep the videos coming.
This would work great for an electrician's van...In fact I intend to adopt the idea's here but scale it down to a smaller size of a Nissan Nv200 S compact (gotta save on that gas). Couple smart vertical shelf builds and I'll be in business. Thanks for the video, really helped me visualize what I want in mine.
I must have had same OCD when it comes to labels..Not quite as clean , working residential & commercial allot of stock in mine. had Reefer/by side door easy to get to.
Can you ask me where you got the metal bin on the back right door? Also the D hooks for the drills where did you get those? Thank for the information in advance.
I noticed the nozzle is broken off on your 2 1/2 pound Amerex ABC fire extinguisher. You need to certify that . Go to your local fire extinguisher company will give you one of those nozzles
Hi Andrew! Happy Monday. I was just reviewing your van video. I watched it last year. Has anything changed in how you had it set up until now. About 3 weeks ago my company got me a Chevy 1 ton van with what appears to be a small house on back. I use to have a Silverado with a service body on the back. But with this I have way more room. I'm still getting used to it and by the time that I have it set up the way I want it I'll be retired and my apprentice will have it. Have a great week. God bless.
Little things here and there have changed, but the "framework" has stayed the same. That said, I've held off on an updated tour because were supposed to be getting the new ford transits soon, so everything will change after that. I'll do a new video then. Good luck with setting yours up Blaze! You have a great week too!
Some good ideas but some ideas lead to wasted space. It is a lot better than most vans out there. Also it is hard in a van that small to set it up good.
I can't remember...it was either Sigmund Freud or Cyndi Lauper that said "An organized truck represents an organized tech that takes pride in their work"
Beautiful truck bro, but you have no part inventory. I know you mentioned that but are you not required to fix anything on a service call???? And what about night duty in the middle of winter/summer when you can't run to a supply house?
He does mostly commercial/industrial, and VRF stuff, so not a lot of universal type parts involved. He could stuff it to the brim with parts, and still not have what he needs most of the time.
Steven Hughes well some people are actually well organized and spend the extra time to keep their shit in order and clean up at the end of each day on their own time.
I got a friend who is a plumber period at the end of every day he spends 15 to 20 minutes making sure everything is put back exactly where it belongs. Although tedious I guarantee you he knows where his stuff is. His tools are all clean and he's ready to go for the next day. Yes I work out of a Honda Accord Wagon and as you can imagine it's not perfect
It's just sittin in there, I didnt mount it to the floor. Its notched in a few places so it cant slide around, and thats it! Doing a new updated van tour video soon. I'll try and show a little more on how I used the plywood. Thanks for watching!
That is a problem I've had since getting a Transit with a KUV body on it a couple of years ago. I can get to almost all of my tools and parts without having to actually climb in the cargo area, so it tends to start looking like a dumpster back there by the end of the week.
Thanks for watching! What other great ideas did I miss? Always looking for unique storage solutions for the van!
I'm going to use you as a guide to reach my own goals.
I own a heating and cooling company I have been working 2 years out of a four-door Jeep Wrangler I'm getting ready to get a van from a friend and you have some great ideas right now the van is butt naked I love your layout and yes you are correct everyone personalized their own thank you so much for making this video very much appreciated it keep up the great work until next time
Dude as a HVAC contractor that is a flipping phenomenal set up you have there
Well thank you Ryan!!! Appreciate you watching, need to do an updated tour, much has changed!
It takes dedication and time to keep a van well organized
I like how the plywood is cutout to hold the tools in place no slipping around no bungee cords
A work station organised and kept in his way shows a master of our trade works here.
You sir, clearly are good at what you do.
Maybe too good....

Brother you ARE prepared!! In my opinion being organized is the only way to be efficient! Van looks good !!👍

So nice...as a primary residential tech, my van is mainly parts and media filters..not a lot of room left for tools
I love what you're doing with that Freon that's a great idea
Very organized, will save you time and money .
A lot of good ideas to modify an off-the-shelf van system. Thanks
Leaving for San Marcos, Tx for and HVAC program, Then going to Denison, IA for Advanced Training, Your Videos Help Me Alot and I hope you continue to make them!
Sounds good gaming. I grew up in Fort Dodge Iowa I think you will like your time up there
Very, very nicely done. Your OCD just triggered my OCD into overdrive. I thought my van was organized. Yours puts mine to shame. Awesome... Thanks for sharing..
Rick Ramirez glad you enjoyed it!
That was a clean service van. That should win a blue ribbon.
This brings a tear to my eye....
I'm not a technician (looking into it) but if I was I would want my van to be exactly this way. Great job 💪🏾💯
Your van is very well organized and well designed.
a lot of fantastic ideas in that van but i think that bungee holder was the best
Very organized van I all ways tell myself I'm going to keep my van that way but every time I clean and organize it after a week or 2 it's back to it's normal trashed self that's the only thing I miss about doing installs is having a helper to clean my van
Great working station.
Super organized.
Congrats

That’s really nice bro! My van is pretty well organized as well but you killed it!
I just got the Nissan box van. I'm thinking of the plywood flooring and turning one of the shelves into the power tool storage. Awesome idea!

Thank you for using JB Vacuum Pumps!

Michael Lee doesn't always look like this, but I try!
thats really organized, I really like it. where do you get your metal shelving, you build it or buy it?
Can you ask me where you got the metal bin on the back right door? Also the D hooks for the drills where did you get those? Thank for the information in advance.
I noticed the nozzle is broken off on your 2 1/2 pound Amerex ABC fire extinguisher. You need to certify that . Go to your local fire extinguisher company will give you one of those nozzles
Thanks for catching that. I’ll look into it tomorrow👍

Nice Awesome and Simple. Cool
Did you just screw plywood into floor of van ? Did you have to do anything special with that ?
Great video bro !!!
How do you fit units in there
I didn't know Chris Pratt was an HVAC technician.😆
What kind of label maker do you have? With the green labels??
Is it legal to carry the refrigerant jugs like that? That could be a very expensive ticket

That is a clean set up u have inspired me to clean my van lol maybe not to this extent
I can't remember...it was either Sigmund Freud or Cyndi Lauper that said "An organized truck represents an organized tech that takes pride in their work"
😂😂
Or one who is not very busy.
It could also be a sign of a diseased mind. ;)
Wrong and wrong. It was Spongebob Squarepants; season 3 episode 11.
Beautiful truck bro, but you have no part inventory. I know you mentioned that but are you not required to fix anything on a service call???? And what about night duty in the middle of winter/summer when you can't run to a supply house?

Hey man sick van! Where did you get those bins/trays you have your tape and stuff in?
BigDHessIII if you mean the black plastic trays, those were from Home Depot in the toolbox area. They're cheap too, I think about 5 bucks a piece.
Nice setup
T&N Services LLC. Thanks Ralph! That's the military in me bleeding into civilian life!
Looks good
what size van is it a regular or extended didnt catch that thanks for sharing
Forgot to mention in the video...2013 chevy express, regular
How did you frame out on the plywood? Did you nail up from the bottom? Fantastic vid by the way, I’m a new subscriber today! 😁😁
It's just sittin in there, I didnt mount it to the floor. Its notched in a few places so it cant slide around, and thats it! Doing a new updated van tour video soon. I'll try and show a little more on how I used the plywood. Thanks for watching!
Hi dude, could you tell me how to order storages like you? Thx a lot
Well, anything that was wood was stuff I built at home. The metal shelving was in the van when I started. Is that what you meant?
Awesome. Can't wait to get my first service van.
Dang man, you put my van to shame.
Shit now i need to redo my Box truck
george harris ikr
That’s the truth my truck looks like crap
Where do you keep your cupcake probes???
+Mauriciom2011 locked in the lock box in the cab. Not gonna have them jumbling around in the back.
You Big proffessional⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️, and very like tools👍, I hoop your job help you have for big many for your and your family.
nice set up
Thanks bro, appreciate you watching!
Looks like a JCI lock out tag out box ...
Can you tell me what kind of oil pump you have therE?
Yellow Jacket
Maaan! can you keep it that ordered after a day of work?
tecnico it gets junked up just like anyone else's. But investing a little time in setting it up right makes it easier/faster to get back into shape.
That is a problem I've had since getting a Transit with a KUV body on it a couple of years ago.
