This is amazing - ty for designing and developing something like this. Hopefully in the future we can also get something a bit more portable/modular for tent setups as well
This is genius. I fortunately (unfortunately lol) already have your X3 and while it's great I think a mini split would have been a better option in hindsight for my design. What I would really like to see is the option for a black colour for the interior unit. Another improvement I would like to see in the future is the ability to run the external unit flat or upside down. I looked at the Cruise'n Comfort recently and some folks are mounting the external unit where the spare tire goes (since most folks this $$$ deep into their vans have tire carriers anyway) This would be a great way to get the external unit in the shade at all times and not have to think about the swinging rear door when it comes to their lines/power that need to pass through.
I hope you guys make boatloads of money because you deserve it. You’re innovative and you make quality products. I’d rather pay more for a superior product even if I have to wait to save the additional funds to purchase it than buy a cheap product that might not work optimally for the situation or could cost more on repairs in the long run. My motto is buy once, cry once. I’m definitely a fan boy of your products and the way you guys do business but I’m still holding out for that under vehicle mounted air conditioner I know you’re going to eventually come out with. 😉 🙏
I recently installed an EG-4 12k 28.5 Seer-2 Btu Mini-split in the back of my motorhome that I run off my large 48v battery, but and thinking about adding a smaller mini split to the front of my motorhome for occasional use so I don't have to run my power hungry 14.5k Furrion rooftop A/C. I would like to run it off my underutilized but smaller 560ah 12v battery. What is the Seer-2 rating of this unit? Also, can it reverse cycle and provide heat too? Thanks.
ı carefully watched your dometic ac 12v comsumption test but you said mini split system has low energy comsumption but ı did not see any difference between dometic and split one did ı missed sometihing in high modes they both use 40-45 A per hour and in eco modes it goes like 20-25 A
On the white is the air flow direction angle adjustable? If mounted on the side wall of the inside of a van can the air flow be directed left or right ?
Assuming ecomode is the lowest , it's pulling 350-400 watts. My inverter window unit pulls around 200 watts on low when it's 80 (400 watts when it's 95). Hopefully, I'm mistaken and they'll post another video showing off the variable speed compressor and how little it draws when it's not working too hard.
@@NomadicInnovations I did reach out and was all set to buy one, but the guy was really rude, so that killed that. My van has no electrical at all, nothing, so I was asking like what the minimum battery power I would need and he just said if my van builder doesn’t know what he’s doing then he can’t help. He said he can’t tell me what’s required to run it because ‘situations change’. I just needed to know battery power as I’m starting fresh and need to know what to get, so I can price everything before I even bother a van builder. I’m not made of money. If I dont know the power I need, there is no way for me to price batteries and components how much or when I can even get everything. I was not rude thru any of it but he was. You lost a sale, cause I had my heart set on one of these. Watched the whole demo and fell in love with it. Oh well.
ive been WAITING for this!!! finally a good not chinese backpack unit i can mount on my econoline!!
Thank you for making this product, this would work perfect for a van conversion.
Finally, mini split is the biggest no brainer for a van. Now if only they made inside unit in black.
Plans for a 48V version?
Possibly in the future!
Came here to ask the exact same thing!

This looks fantastic. Are you planning to make a version that also does heat?
Thanks! Possibly in the future.
Great video - can't believe how quickly you get cool air for such a low draw. Will definitely be picking one of these systems up for my Sprinter!
Would this have any issues on a mount that will hold the condenser vertical when in use, but then it folds up to lay flat on a roof when not in use?
That's a great question. I suppose that would work just fine. The unit must be vertical while in use.
Great work Kenny!!!

Can you run this unit while driving down the road?

I have a off-Grid home built Ice Fishing house/ camper. This might be a great start with a few modifications.
I plan to use 800watt alternator charger + delta2 max with this unit. What kind of connector is used to send this to the delta 2max?
Which one cools better? X3 or S1?
Great product! We live in TX and need a unit to sleep safely...To run a S1 for 7hrs sleep time, how many KWs will be needed?

BRO! I went to the expo, just to see this unit! Ok… not entirely true. BUT I MSSED IT! I was trying to convince my wife.

Almost like the one I bought from u 4 years ago!
Woo hoo!!
Very nice, but please try to speak in Watts, that actually makes more sense, especially as different voltages are being introduced on the market.
What's the btu output?
11,280 BTU for 24V, 9,600 BTU for 12V
What is the power consumption on the lowest setting?

You guys want me to test one of these for you? 😅 I need one of these so bad. Guess I better start saving my pennies!
I hope you found a AC solution. Reach out if we can help at all.
