This is one of the few Password episodes where not just one (which is rare enough), but BOTH celebrities are still alive. Steve Lawrence is 88, and Carol Lawrence is 91. BTW, Carol was at The White House and visited with President Kennedy just two days before the tragic event.
Never got the roles and the career she was capable of. Instead of television episodes she should have stuck to Broadway and movies. So PRETTY and with a natural glamor.
Yes my favorite line I recall of his was when he was ask the secret to his and Eydie’s long marriage. He responded, “In thirty years we have never had an in-depth conversation.”
Always felt bad that Carol Lawrence didn't get to play the role of 'Maria' that she created on Broadway when the movie of West Side Story was made. If she had, she would have been a much more memorable and popular performer over the past 60 years.
After watching countless episodes of this fabulous show, I've noticed that fifty percent of the time it actually works out better to get second crack at solving the puzzle 😊. I couldn't get over how long it took for them to solve cub😮.For me at least, dainty was a tough one to solve, the only clue I could think of was demitasse

RIP Steve Lawrence 1935-2024
Fun times simpler times for sure! Thank you for posting this... 😊
Steve so charming!
I've always loved Steve Lawrence!! He could really be funny sometimes!!
Handsome and talented
His sense of humor is exceptional. Coming up under Steve Allen didn't hurt him either.
Steve Lawrence was great on the Carol Burnett show in the sketches and also as a vocalist...

@@evalehde3869 Its Eydie. Here he has his wedding ring on. I always wonder why he took it off. Steve just passed away.
Still lovin' the Password here. Thanks for all these different ones!
100PurpleAvenue Thanks for commenting. Glad you're enjoying the channel
Xôooxfixzzfo do
Unlike most of the guest stars on these shows from the early 60's, these two are still alive and still very much with us.
Give it time...
@@lynnturman8157 Say it's not so!
i did read that Steve is suffering from Alzheimer's though:(
@@carrob704 😥😓🙁.🧸,.

Carol Lawrence was so cute.
Venom101002 - she seems really friendly too.
Carol Lawrence. Just a wonderful lady..and beautiful at that got a great personality...

Great episode. I love this channel!
glad you're enjoying it!
I wish this was on now!!!
Wow, Carol crushed those lightning rounds.

Steve Lawrence was s funny.
Carol Lawrence Robert Goulet Steve Lawrence Eydie Gorme
Can't believe someone raised or born in Chicago like Carol didn't think of "Cub"!! :D
Now that would have been a great clue
My church friends from Melrose Park went to school with Carol Lawrence.
Wish we could go back to simple times.By being faithful and more graditude.
A time when people knew how to spell and use proper pronunciation.
The baby gesture only confused her as it made her think I it was a human baby. He should have reminded her it was a bear.
Fun fact - Carol is 91 yrs old today
Today the term 'working girl' means something very different !! And if the lady was married, Alan would ask what sometimes ask he did ??! 😂😮😢
Oops...! 'sometimes ask what he did'...!
11:44 "Porky" - "Bess?" lol
Watching November 2024
I wonder if Carol's broken watch band was by Speidel Twist-O-Flex... well at least she could have tied it in a knot. 😉
21:30 She was 16, going on 30.
interesting to see all the men in the audience in suit and tie.
People still took pride in their appearance in the 1960s.
So Janet and Justin are off the hook. There are prior wardrobe malfunctions.

Tomato sauce is never called paste. 🤔
Those eyeglasses worn by the Allen Ludden, looked like a college professor working In a laboratory. I await your reply.
Yes, which made Ludden well-suited to host the "GE College Bowl," which he did for several years.
They made his eyes look Chinese.
They messed up they didn't give the 5th word
They didn’t seem to know what a baby 🐻 is called.
And Allen couldn't get Steve to shut up. It was Carol's turn, and he kept saying, "A baby bear scout." I thought for sure Carol was going to guess it.
Carol Lawrence was always a little messed up. Robert Goulet was a lot messed up, but got his act together with his third wife.
The bell when they guess the word is ridiculous.
Steve Lawrence looks a little like JFK
22:57 sounded like slag to me
I don’t know how Steve Lawrence was in other Password episodes, but in this one he was awful. Terrible clue giver and guesser.
