I understand where you say resin is expensive, because yes, it can be! Or at least that’s what I thought when I first started. BUT! Amazon will surprise you! I got 1.5lbs of resin (NOT stinky at all 🙏🏼🙏🏼 I was/am VERY grateful for)+ 6 pigments + glitters + mixing cups + silicone stir sticks + little measuring cups for the glitter&pigment all for only $39.99
But I love this idea! Instead of using resin pigment, using acrylic fluid paint jnstead! Such a good idea considering I’m sure most of us have a crap load of paint considering possibly starting off doing acrylic pour first before moving onto the resin art.
This does look great & I will 100% be trying this tonight!!!

You did really good for your first attempt!! Give yourself more credit! When I started resin work, I used acrylic paints until I got more comfortable with resin. I now use pigment pastes, which helps a lot. As long as you are learning, then you are doing things right!!! This was really good! Stay with it! I love using resin on wooden panels, or something a bit more sturdy. Canvas panels never work for me with resin work. You wouldn’t know until you tried!!! Keep up the great work!!!

@@Tiffany.Solorio I have a little round wood table that is outside by our pool. And I want to do the whole ocean theme but I wanted to add a little metal mermaid onto it, but I haven’t figured out if I add it will the top of the surface won’t be leveled since the mermaid would be raised . So I don’t know if I should wrap the edge with a mold and then let that dry and then pour a second time so it gets the sides. 🤔🤔🤔

I love what you've created ... it's so pretty and you made it look so easy! I decided to do an acrylic/resin pour myself (I have the same resin as you do), and found that things got rather tacky fast. I suspect it had something to do with the acrylic as well as the cooler temps (my studio is in the basement and this time of year it's never warm enough!). Anyway, thanks for the inspiration :) P.S. did you ever get a chance to do a video on the final/cured result?
