Loving the longer videos and the quality only keeps getting better. I send new cactus gardeners to your channel all the time, keep up the good work my friend.
I LOVE the Spider Farmer grow lights and they are definitely the BEST of the BEST, the SF 4000 looks incredible, and all of your cactus seedlings are all so gorgeous, thanks so much for sharing and sending you lots of love and happiness and PLANT POWER for a fantastic day XXXX
I grow cannabis and happened to discover your channel looking for information on my Spider Farmer 4000. I’ve heard about San Pedro and after seeing your video I want to learn more. Subscribed and thanks for posting
Congratulations on 10000 subscribers! Love the channel and I have a lot of LED boards like this--not cheap but please keep us posted on your progress with this setup!! Only my expensive gear is rated correctly, several ~200W boards were mislabeled!
Yes!!!! I'm doing this same thing with my Spider Farmer!!! This light is THE BEST! I'm thrilled to see u doing the same thing I'm doing right now!( I feel so cool! Ur my cactus INSPIRATION)
Nice vid, not much info on complete indoor growing of these. I recently got my first sacred cacti a bridgessi, it's about 51cm right now, I'm hanging a Unit Farm UFS3000 above it with a couple Barrina strips vertically on sides with the cactus between two Dart frog vivariums running their own grow lights. This is my plan all year round as I have no safe place outside in summer and only a north facing window available. Hopefully this goes well I got the lights mentioned on the recommendation of another grower with much more experience than I.
Such an interesting topic! Thanks jerry! I am curious about the limits of LEDs with adult cacti. With one of these turned up to 100% and only a foot or two away from the top of a well rooted adult cutting, would it be possible to grow them indoors without suffering etiolation? You’re the best! Thx for the amazing content!🌵🥂
Nice video - I love the way you wrap your containers - I tried it as well but I don't seem to get them to be as tight and straight as yours. Maybe in a future video you can explain how you get them to look that perfect. :) Thanks for the quality content!
I live in Colorado. We have beautiful perfect grow conditions for 6 months and 6 months of cold. I sas thinking of leaving all my small grafts, Pups, small cuttings, and seedlings under a lights for the winter. I'm thinking about getting two SF4000's as I have a little over 80 Cacti, many small Ogun slab grafts for instance. The larger columns will be in a separate room going dormant. Can a SF4000 keep a 1 foot regular sized like 2.5" diameter cutting from etiliolating? Are there atronger light options? I want the strongest lighta possible that also are full spectrum
Acording to the maker of the product this lamp is the equivalent to a 600W HID/MH lamp. But since less heat is produced you can have an led closer to the lamp.
So what would you say the SF 4000's actual coverage area is for adult cacti? I know the specs mention 5 x 5 foot coverage for vegetation, but it looks like you're covering A LOT more than this pretty easily. I'm sure the mylar helps a lot, but WOW, very impressive. Thank you for this video!
My goodness, you are right!! I have just searched for your name and found your email. Looks like I forgot to reply to you at the time. My apologies! I have just sent you a reply.
Some people have told me that cacti will always grow thin under any light especially LEDs.... does anyone have any experience growing larger cuttings with LEDs?
Nah man just give it 16 hours with bloom and veg. Put mirrors inside the tent . 1200 watt . It was stronger then my sun in August my lights fattened them out
Watched another one of your videos where you said 15 hours if no sunlight. 12k lux for mature plants and 5000lux for seedlings. Noted! I have very intense lights meant to grow cannabis and can hit 50k lux on a 4’x4’ space. So this information was VERY useful. Thank you
I'd get something along the lines of a Bavagreen 720 watt LED for a 4 x 4 -5 x 5 ft tent(footprint). The Bavagreen has Far Red, Infared, Ultraviolet (UVA and UvA + UvB on some, can be added on special order if requested) separate on/off switches for each spectrum and can request the main white Samsung lm301h LEDS in 1 or 2 spectral frequenciestypical is (3500k, or both 3000k and 5000k if you want more blue for vegative growth cycles, emulating closer to what a CMH hid lamp produces for growers who want denser less airy flower structure and value flower quality over quantity at slight margin of productivity and yield. These lamps give you much more control over the light spectrum you can offer your plants and allow you to dial it in more easily. The newer Bavagreens also can be controlled from a phone app within your home Wifi network sort of how you add a Roku/firestick/etc. Allowing you to check parameters away from home. Sending alarm msgs if something malfunctions or drifts outside of programming parameters. They can also be daisy chained(I think up to 8 lights and controlled through one lamp. TH-cam has a demo vid of a small warehouse garden with 6 of the Bava 720w pro lamps filling out a room of Canna and the growth and overall health is is quite impressive. They also use Higher grade d4ivers(meanwell) than Spider farmer. Top bin/top brand diodes and are cheaper priced for what you recieve overall.
Here is a small upload from last week of Bavas 1080w(this spiderfarmer is about 480watt balast, so almost 1/3 the output capability of the Bavagreen (w only 2 spectrums of fixed output diodes too😢 )). Bava for the win. th-cam.com/video/E9eFjj-xAyg/w-d-xo.html
th-cam.com/video/5XhRp3um-b8/w-d-xo.html they come in quantum panel array 240/480/720w or strip style folding frame lamps 200/400/600/800w for vertical or horizontal applications. All offer selectable switching for each spectrum of diodes on the light.
Yet neither offer selectable switching for each spectrum (Far Red, Infared, UVa+UVb, options for both 3000k and 5000k diodes (for CMH afgicionados or growers of pure landrace sativas with complex light needs to control overall managable height or breeders who need to run torture tests to eliminate intersex phenotypes in new untested crosses) or singular 3500k diodes on main board. Bavagreen manages to offer a way more flexible light with same drivers, same top bin lm301h diodes, osram or CREE xte diodes for the reds. Lg UV diodes. But 4x the flexibility options and WIFI phone app controls and an Emerson effect program for start up and shut down? Does HLG do any 720w+ lamps in the 6-700$ ballpark? I haven't looked l8ley or actually in years
Or 6 Bava 720w qb style boards daisy chained and dominating a small warehouse room. I'd expect 3-4lbs cured per lamp(or 4x4 tent) with proper set up and superior genetics. Hitting 18oz fully cured in a 2 x 4 tent off a 240w Bava on one single Barney's farm L5D in a 25g Rubbermaid tub of FF ocean forest/sunshinemix#4was a cakewalk. th-cam.com/video/p_en13n-RVk/w-d-xo.html

I bought the SF1000 before you even released this video! Glad to see someone with so much experience buying the same brand!
Me too! I got the SF 1000
I ordered mine yesterday
Mines worked great. Grown two noce Jalapeno plants with it so far.
How dare do you guys keep it

These lights will hold their own 😉 👍

Yes I can do that! Thanks for the suggestion! :)
That light should make those cacti into monsters.
I will be watching!
Much respect. Thanks!!
I was just heading to buy fluorescent lights for my bridgesii and pachanoi seedlings, but the place was closed lol
U NEED THIS light!!! It's the best! I got mine from Amazon.
I bought a SF 2x2 grow tent and a SF1000 Full Spectrum LED. Would this setup be enough for year round grow? I have only have a few Trichocereus.
Thanks for this video🧡🌵
Mars hydro Ts series are good full spectrum fixtures as well
Hi, thanks for the amazing video Jerry! How long are your tables? Standard 6ft?

Shelves in a grow tent would be more space efficient. The SF is too bright for shelves, but you can get dimmer grow lights for shelves.
Overlapping the heating mats does increase their operating temperature. I'm not certain of how it affects the lifespan of the mat though
Mars Hydro 600 led works great
What do you pay for power?
Do you live in the U.S.? Do you sell seeds and seedlings? Thanks
I sent you an email about a month ago asking about prices for a san pedro, bolivian, and peruvian torch but never got a reply :( Great video though 👍

@@Turntuppusha what kind of lights are you using to get 1200 watts? Thank you!
Theres a giant window, like 10 feet away, that looks like it gets more sun than my entire house.
How many hours a day do you keep the light on? Let’s say if there was zero daylight (in a tent). Great video!

@@Fullautofreedom was looking for a lux value for seedlings! Thanks!
Brother can you check my peyotes and give me some advice???
You could almost triple that space if you used stainless steel shelving for the plants
Would this grow light work for big San Pedro cactus?
