I love it! It turned out so lovely and has a great sense of emotion. As for it turning out “masculine” I think that is somewhat just because it can be challenging (even in a photograph) to make a female with a bare back look more feminine. There is something about having pants on but no top that just makes the brain want to see them as looking more masculine, especially without the flesh of the breast or hips behing shown. I think yours still reads as feminine but if they look less feminine that you’d wanted, I think it is just because of this extra challenge. Thank you so much for your lovely channel. You are really inspiring me to get back into oils.
Hi Izzy, thank you for sharing your week and painting another wonderful painting. So cool having a painting in an exhibition, it must have been a good feeling seeing it on the wall next to the other paintings.
I always love it! Your painting is very good feeling and superb oil painting technique. Especially your self-portrait painting is so beautiful and attractive. That's are all inspiring my art style! ✨️❣️
you need to use linseed oil! you can find them at any art store :)) Mix a bit of it with your oil paints and you're goodd (it literally feels like painting with butter!)
I didn’t sense masculine I sensed tension or discomfort like an subconscious narrative from your back problems finding it’s way into your painting. In which case your pain is beautiful - but probably no consolation. :(
I love to hear other’s thoughts as I hadn’t considered that myself but of course it makes complete sense and you’re probably right ❤️ At least there’s a slight positive!
Such a beautiful piece ❤

What medium, if any, do you use to get your paint to flow so well on the canvas?
I use gamsol for the initial wash and then a small amount of linseed oil in the next layers.
Cosa usi come prima base?acrilico o gesso acrilico?
What kind of panel do u use for ur paintings ? I need a bit of advice as ive always used canvases and mostly its not smooth
I use plywood panels from Jackson’s that I prime myself. The trick for smoothness is to sand between each layer of gesso
@@izzywebberart thankyou for the advice 💓
fantastico

Hello
Oh
Ok
Hello, I don’t find her masculine at all, your painting is great as always. By the way, why do you paint on Wood panels and not Canvas ?
me gusta mucho como pintas y tus videos, pero a veces tengo la impresion de que estas triste o deprimida....espero que no sea asi.
Thank you for your consideration🫶 I have been a little sad these past few months but I’m finally starting to feel a lot happier now:)
