- Every fighter has many alternate costumes in Super Smash Bros Ultimate, but many have missed potential. In this video I speculate about new ideas for pallet swaps for every character in the roster, this time focusing on those introduced in Smash Bros Brawl. Every character's alts are analyzed and four new ones are added, would this be a good idea as Smash DLC?

Believe it or not. It is cause gamefreak has said no (same thing for charizard not getting his shiny, or why metwo does not have a real shiny, nor pichu or really any pokemon having a shiny (except incineroar.i think has his shiny)
Primarily gamefreak is not super happy with Nintendo. Nintendo made pokemon far more child friendly than what the lead designer wanted. If you look at the games, the original red and green/blue was dark, with the trainers/gym leaders even using whips to "tame" the pokemon they use as slaves to battle. Not to mention the dark dex entries.
Then while gamefreak are still able to use dark dex entries, the games had to get a lot more colorful over the years. Rainbows and lolipops, and a lot of hand-holding.
If gamefreak could they would remove themselves from Nintendo and make pokemon dark again. Sadly they are kinda stuck right now.
As for Pikachu. He had the red Al in 64, before gen 2 really had a foothold in the series and shines were prominent.

A bit late to the party, but I think Toon Link's Island Pajamas are too iconic to not be a new render if they add more alts. Would also spice up the variety more than just a color change

Here's some things that SHOULD be added for your SSB4 Alts video:
1. Ryu(an Alt Based off of EVIL RYU AND/OR Akuma)
2. Cloud(a Skin based off of Zach Fair; Complete with Black Hair)
3. Bowser Jr(Boom Boom and/or Pom Pom)
4. Little Mac(Doc Louis' Cheetah Clothes from the previously Downloadable Wii Game Doc Louis' Punchout, complete with Blue Hair from Punch-Out Wii)
5. Shulk(One of his Armors from Xenoblade)
6. Dark Pit(one based off of Hades)
7. Duck Hunt Duo(A White Dog with Black Ears & a Yellow Duck; akin to Snoopy & Woodstock; or A White Jack Russell Terrior complete with the Brown Circle around one of the eyes & A Black Hook Bill Duck)
8. Wii Fit Trainer(A Skin that would make him or her Resemble Ring Fit Adventurer; with Both Male & Female versions based off of the male & female Ring Fit Adventurers)
9. Pacman(An Alt based off of his Pacman Party design with the Blue Eyes & White Sclera)
10. Villager(A Villager wearing the Nook Inc Clothes; like a Boy with either the Nook Inc Tee or Blouson, or a girl wearing the Coral Nook Inc aloha shirt)
11. Corrin(IDK, A Skin based off of Volga from Hyrule Warriors; that's All I have for ideas for the Dragon-shifter)
12. Megaman(A Skin based off of Bass' Colors; Including Red Eyes and Facial Markings)
13. Greninja(A Bright Orange Skin based off of Poison Dart Frogs)
14. Rosalina & Luma(A Skin based off of the Cosmic Witch from Super Mario Galaxy 2)
15. Palutena(A Form modeled after False Palutena; Complete with Purple Skin)
16. Robin(IDK; An Alt inspired by Chrom?; That's All I Got)

One of Pac-Man's alts should be based on Turn-To-Blue (what happens to the ghost when you eat a power pellet)
Here are some ideas:
Megaman could have a bounce man alt.
Wii fit Trainer could have a fully green alt referencing the silhouettes.
Little Mac could have a hoodie alt with a red hoodie blue jogging bottoms and a darker skin tone to reference Doc Louis.
Banjo & Kazooie could have an alt based on Yooka Laylee.

For the Smash 4 inclusions I could see a Palutena alt as Medusa and/or Viridi. Shulk alts based on Xenoblades Chronicles 2 or X protagonists, Cloud alts based on his crew members, a Ryu alt based on Akuma and finally a Bayonnetta alt based on the protagonist from Astral Chain since it's from the same company

Sonic's alts look particularly lovely. I like Lucario's current colors, but the addition of his Shiny and Zoroark's colors is cool. I also dig Ike, Lucas, and Toon Link's new pink color ideas.

This is actually pretty well researched. Most of these types of videos don't know much about the source material and just go off of what is popular to discuss at the time.
For Lucario's alts, i would add a White, Blonde and Red alt, based off of Korrina from X and Y. The mask would be Red, like the accents on Korrina's clothes, his white fur would just be more white and his Blue fur would turn Platnium Blond. I feel like referencing Korrina is important, due to her connections with Mega Lucario.

for the pokemon trainer, i would like to see something similar to what you did with the dawn alt where each pokemon represents that gens counterpart (squirtle getting colors like the first stage water type starter, ivysaur having the middle stage grass type starter, and charizard getting the final stage fire type starter)
*Here are some alt ideas for Smash 4:*
Villager - Boy and girl appearances from Mario Kart 8.
Mega Man - Pink and purple to represent his appearance when using Strike Man’s ability.
Greninja - Shiny Greninja.
PAC-MAN - Miss PAC-MAN.
Shulk - Brown hair and Rex’s outfit.
Bowser Jr. - Dark blue with red eyes to represent Shadow Mario, orange and yellow to represent Boom Boom, red and pink to represent Pom Pom, and his pirate outfit from Mario Kart Tour.
Ryu - Pink and black to represent Juri Han.
Cloud - Black outfit with black hair to represent Zack Fair, bright cyan to represent Mako, his Kingdom Hearts outfit, and his Final Fantasy VII Remake outfit.
Corrin - Bright blue and white outfit with bright blue hair on female Corrin to represent Azura.
Bayonetta - Orange and yellow with white hair to represent Loki.
Please don't let the next episode take four months to come around again! I love your work!

I just noticed you messed up on Ike’s Alts. The red and black alts are supposed to be switched around for anyone who didn’t know.
I want a Pac-Man alt based on Ms. Pac-Man
Link’s conductor costume is just spirit tracks inspired, with no trace of it from Phantom Hourglass. Though if it were a mashup of Linebeck & Train Conductor, as Linebeck was the captain of the ship, the “S.S. Linebeck,” and so the alt would have connotations with the modes of transportations between each game, then that would be cool.
You went *off* with those Pokemon Trainer alts, I'm in love with all of them. I do think it'd be cool to reference Mega Charizard X somewhere, but I love everything you did
Since the Miis don't really have alts, I'm gonna leave a few ideas for other costumes based on the series of the premium costumes (Sans, Cuphead, Vault Boy)
Undertale could have Kris, Frisk, or Undyne as a swordfighter, Papyrus as a brawler, and maybe Mettaton or Alphys as a gunner. I haven't played too much Cuphead but I'm sure that the Devil and King Dice would work as brawlers. Fallout is pretty easy since we could just get Power Armor as a brawler/gunner, but the Courier, a Protectron, and maybe even the Mysterious Stranger would also work as Gunners
Also give Geno a high quality costume. I didn't want him in but even I feel kinda bad for Geno Bros kek
King Dedede should have a “King D-Mind” skin, the final boss from Kirby Clash Deluxe and a reoccurring boss in Super Kirby Clash
Those are amazing ideas, Nintendo should hire you. I got an idea for some characters from the smash 4 series.
Bowser Jr: Boom Boom inside a yellow clown cart with flames painted on since Boom Boom debuted with the koopalings before Bowser Jr even existed plus it could reference the fire clown cart in super Mario maker. Kamek (Magikoopa) riding a completely blue with brown edges clown cart resembling her cloak and her broom kind of I just thought it would be cool. Then we can have Bowser Jr with a red face resembling one of the koopa kids from Mario Party 5 (I think it’s Mario party five please correct me if I’m wrong) and lastly a costume resembling Nabbit which would make the Clown Cart’s mouth look like the bandanna both him and Bowser Jr wear and the clown cart itself could,be purple with with white edges and the eyes would be exactly just like Nabbit’s.
Pac-Man: He is a really interesting character and I think most of his costumes are pretty bad. One of his costumes should have him completely dark blue with yellow eyes and a purple tongue and shoes. This would resemble the ghost in the pacman games when he eats a power pellet it’s a classic and I would definitely play as that at least my opinion. They could also make a Miss Pacman costume for him since her game WAS really popular back then. Then he could have an alt where he is Orange with Purple eyes and shoes with an Orange ghost’s face replacing the wings on his shoes this could reference Clyde one of the goofiest characters in Pacman. Then using the Miss Pacman costume they could make her completely pink with yellow (or green eyes I don’t remember the color of Pinky) with yellow (or green) shoes and a Purple bow which would resemble pinky a fan favorite character from Pacman, and just like clyde’s outfit her shoes would have Pinky’s face on each side instead of the wings.
Megaman: Unlike Pacman he has cool alts however I have few ones in mind. Gold helmet shoes and gloves with everything else except the face mint representing the search power he recieved in Megaman 8 and Dark blue helmet shoes and gloves and everything else except the face orange representing the napalm power he received in megaman 5. There are definitely better choices but to make it a little different I decided to go with those suits who have unique colors to them in my opinion. (As far as I know of course.) Then we can have one with a grey helmet boots gloves and back with the front and everything else white with his little ear things red and green. Which could be a reference to doctor Willy. Also a complete dark-ish yellow including the face with black eyes and red pupils and the little ears things red and black too. Which could be a reference to the Yellow monster in that megaman stage since as far as I’m concerned he is a fan favorite boss. (Please tell me if I’m wrong).
Greninja: So first off just replace the yellow with a more white-ish color and the blue with lime green and then make red outlines in the Shuriken tattoo things he has on him with a red tongue and the outlines of his eyes brown. Which could reference chestnaught one of the Pokémon starters in Pokémon X and Y. Then for another alt replace the blue for black and replace his skin-ish color for lime green and give him cool scales on the lime green oh and make his eyes cyan that would look so cool and could reference the legendary Pokémon zygarde. Which in the anime I think he was left with zygarde so he could protect it plus zygarde made his debut in the same game so it would make for a cool reference and costume. Also while at it make his shurikens like green with scales on it. Then also could give him a costume with white replacing his skin-ish color then yellow replacing his torso and head then his legs black with white feet oh and his Shuriken in the back could be brown resembling Braixen a fan favorite Pokémon from the game x and y. And for the heck of it add in a costume where his forehead is blue with the outline of his ears red with his skin-ish color being white and have him have like two white dots somewhere in his body and yellow eyes with black pupils and red outlines around his eyes and his shuriken could be blue with red outlines and a bit of two white dots somewhere on it. This could potentially resemble Kyogre the king of the sea since Greninja is a water type and its just kinda fitting.

Cloud has a lot of potential:
Cloud with Flower - (the flower that Aerith gives him when they first meet which is placed on his chest)
Zack Fair - Cloud P1 alt as well but give him Black hair to resemble Zack
Cloudette - Dress Cloud maybe from the time Cloud has to disguise
White Cloud - They could make a white alt for some diversity in his colour options that could resemble either Clouds childhood outfit, Tifa or maybe even Rufus
KH Cloud - Just another alt that could be added which also looks sick, would prob be a colour variation of P2 Cloud cuz a full model with the wing might be wacky with hitboxes
When he said "some people might hate me for this and he isn't a playable" I thought he was talking about ash/sathoshi (depends on region and language)

I like the use of the Fire Emblem Heroes alts for Ike. Very well done
I think a great idea for a Greninja alt would be one based off of Cinderace due to its similar proportions, and because they're both pretty popular, and maybe one inspired by Dragapult since it's also got a "stealth" theme going on. Ms Pacman is a given for Pacman because it's a given. For Bowser Junior you could base it off of regular Mario enemies, like Shy Guys and Monty Moles, with a couple references to the boss enemies in NSMB DS, and also a dark blue Junior alt based on shadow Mario. With Rosalina just give her alts based on the other two Princesses. those are my main ideas.

@@Siiroth why thanks, I appreciate the praise from the creator! Also btw I've been cleaning out the spam bots in the comments that have been plaguing TH-cam recently, since it really benefits no-one. Also this is definitely a bit of a greedy thing to say (or at least I imagine so) but giving credit to the people who came up with certain ideas would be cool, or maybe just giving them their own separate videos since people here have some pretty great ideas, I will admit. But either way thanks for the praise.

Assault is one of the only games where Andrew ISN'T allied with Wolf. He was booted off the team sometime between 64 and Assault.
Gonna throw in my ideas for additonal Pac-Man alts again:
If I may give a few suggestions for my man Pac-Man, if you ever get to him:
4 recolours matching the main 4 ghosts' colour palettes being Blinky, Inky, Pinky, and Clyde
, or maybe even a single alt incorporating all of their colours at he same time.
An alt including a professor's hat and a white mustache representing a recurring character in the Pac-Man series being (or even just the hat by itself), Professor Pac-Man
A recolour with Pac-Man donning bright red gloves and dark blue/purple boots with grey skin referencing Spooky, the infamous main villain from the Pac-Man franchise's official second most popular game: Pac-Man World 2
a cool addition 2 would be the blue body and white eyes, representing the ghosts after eating the power pellet
Man, I wish that these skin ideas would make it into Smash. Please make a smash 4 and Ultimate version, I love watching your vids!

For Sonic here I would've liked to reference well one render and one new color skin which slightly change the look of Sonic:
-One referncing his look with all the items in Sonic Adventure 2.
-And the second having a Dark Blue color furr and shoes color crimson or dark red, referencing his Wehehog form in Sonic Unleashed.

I have a great idea for 2 Mega Man Alts.
One giving him a grey suit with red helmet based on his older brother Proto Man.
And one giving him an armor or at least more outlines to his armor to make him look like X, Mega Man’s “successor” and one of the most important characters throughout the X, Zero and ZX series
Two alts. I would add for pokemon trainer are: 1, one based on Ash and some original colors for the pokemon (referencing how the anime likes to show custom pokemon), 2, one referencing Mewtwo (as the trainer), and the pokemon looking like theirselves from Mewtwo Strikes Back.
I like the two rob alts especially that gamecube one the switch is also pretty good too

Some ideas for new smash 4 character costumes, Pac Man having blue skin,black gloves, and a white mouth to represent the ghosts when he eats the power pellet. Duck Hunt having colorations of retro characters like the guy in Excitebike, Mach Rider, or the guy from River City Ransom. Ryu(or Ken) should have a pink alt based on Dan, as well as an alt for Akuma. Bowser Jr could have one where he is all blue with red eyes in reference to Shadow Mario. Mega Man could have a whole lot of colors based on the colors he gets in the games from power ups. Bayonetta could get an alternate costume (or at least a coloration) for some of the alternate costumes for the games, namely the Fox and Link costumes. Wii fit trainer could be all blue in reference to the Reckless Safety Notice Guy. Rosalina could have a completely cosmic appearance being the Cosmic Spirit, and a white sleeping gown that is a little bit shorter than her regular dress as a reference to the storybook in Mario Galaxy. Greninja could have a black and red alt as a reference to Yveltal and a Tan and Green alt as a reference to Chestnaught. Thanks for reading all of this and I hope it was cool. I would seriously love to see more alternate costumes. Donkey Kong in his Punch-Out outfit, Twilight Princess Zelda and Ganondorf, Sport uniform Mario characters (though, I think that would mostly apply to Peach and Daisy, unless we can get their Striker uniforms), Cyber Mewtwo, there's just so many I would love to see and the possibilities are endless.

Your Sonic Alts are a million times better in design, references and cool factor. Such an obvious selection of colors they missed out on.
The funny thing is, there's a rumor that not many have heard of, I'm sure, that after Fighter's Pass Vol. 2, about 64 of the fighters are to get fixer-uppers on their colors/alts.
Since Sm4sh is the next video, I have one idea.

here are the ones i would pick
a pink alt to reference aerith
white top, black pants, red gloves and brown hair to reference tifa
black clothes and white hair to reference sephiroth
black hair to reference zack
while writing this, i actually forgot he had a different model based off advent children, something i have very little knowledge about. maybe put the last two in that category. i was also considering giving him alts based off the party members of FF7, but decided on this. barret, yuffie and cid already have colors covered by his alts, and red XIII does not have as strong connection to cloud as the others
Shulk's current alts are all based on the party members from Xenoblade Chronicles. Me being familiar with the series since that game I have 4 alts that I think would work pretty well:
- One based on Dickson, who acts as a father figure for Shulk: blond hair, blue jacket, white/light grey pants
- One based on Alvis, another relatively important character from the game: grey hair, purple-ish clothes
both these characters are also a temporary party member for some battles in the game
-One based on Elma, the main protagonist of Xenoblade Chronicles X: light grey hair with vibrant red clothes with blue and black accents.
-And lastly, one based on Rex, the main protagonist of Xenoblade Chronicles 2: brown/grey-ish hair with blue clothes and brown accents.
honestly there are so many characters in this series, so I bet there are a lot that could work well so have fun

Two other ideas for Sonic could be a metallic-looking one to reference Metal Sonic, all of the metallic colours would look more basic instead of slightly faded like on Sonic's base because Metal also follows that more basic colour scheme. He could also have his eye colour changed from white and green to black and red to match Metal's. Secondly, a green alt with a reference to Scourge the hedgehog from the Archie Sonic comics. Sonic's main body would change from blue to green and his shoes would be given a green and black look. Scourge's chest scars, glasses and jacket could be added if you want to go all the way. I think Archie Sonic fans would like the reference.

My opinions on these new alts
- Meta Knight 3/5
First one is pretty alright. Not too into the second one, I mean base Meta Knight is already purple. I love the third one. The colors really do look good on him. His final alt is kinda weird. I like the reference, but dislike the color scheme.

I don’t like the first one. We already have a gold alt and the red hair looks really out of place. I love his second one tho, still not the biggest fan of his hair color tho. His third is alright. His final one is way too similar to his default.

The first one is pretty good. This is how you make a green alt people! Her second one is alright and while I like the reference and concept of her third alt, the colors just don’t match well at all. Green and pink is just, ughhhh. Her final one is pretty decent as well.

The first new alt is really cool. Nice job :) ! The second one is definitely unique, but not very good as a color scheme, sadly. I’d wish that the overalls were purple instead of black. Next one is pretty good as well and the final one is not only an iconic reference, but also works well as an alt.

I love the eyepatch on the fist three, very creative. But o god is the second one ugly. WHY does he have CYAN hair, just WHY?!?!?! Third one is very unremarkable. Final one is ok I guess.

The first one is pretty cool, honestly. Second one is pretty cool as well. That third one is just soooo got damn tacky. Hot pink is just, no. Final one is cool as well.

The trainer looks ok in the first alt. Pants should be darker imo. Squirtle’s first one is amazing, the eyes really pop. Ivysaur looks amazing as well, charizard as well. Love the glow effect, it looks awesome. But omg that hair on the trainer’s second alt is way too bright, should be darker. Giving the pokemon shinies is a good idea. With the third alt, again the hair and bag is too bright imo. Squirtle’s is pretty good, Ivysaur’s is amazing and Charizard is as well. The last trainer looks pretty awesome, love the pink. Squirtle’s fourth alt is just….. wow, that looks sooooo good on him. Ivysaur’s is pretty good as well, but Charizard’s last alt is kinda iffy for me, needs way more red.

First one is decent, not too bad. But holy crap, is the green just…. blegh on the second one. Way too bright (I’m beginning to see a pattern here). The third one is pretty unremarkable. Like the last one tho.

First alt looks pretty nice, colors slightly too bright still. Next one looks pretty cool as well. The third one is alright and the last one looks cool (yeah not a lot to say).

First one is really cool. This goes for the second one as well. But why o why is the pink so bright. It doesn’t even look that bright one the picture you referenced of amy. The final one is amazing tho, makes up for the third one.

R.O.B. has in my opinion the best alts in the game so I hope they’re good (the new ones). First one is kinda iffy. Would love some darker colors. Same with the second one. Third one is actually pretty cool. I feel the same about the final alt as I do with the first and second one.
