This sort of talk WAS exactly what I needed to pull out my air filter housing on my '21 F350 7.3L Godzilla. Man was that ever easier than I thought. And the biggest deal was all of the room I had to hook up some F150 LED's to the side marker light. Thank you, thank you, thank you...
Thanks for the instructional video I just changed out the air filter for the 1st time on my 2021 F-350 7.3 . The air filter housing is similar to the 6.7 diesel .
Great vid man. I just installed a new Banks Power cold air kit on my 2020 this past weekend and had to remove mine just as you showed in the video. I did have the luxury of both hands 😊. Nice job as always.
@@robertrosenstein4430 so far I really like it. I do hear some sound difference and I am stock (not deleted). It isn’t overwhelming but notice a little more growl. I will say the Banks filter element itself is bigger than other kits and appears to be a quality product like most other Banks stuff. Install was easy as well.
@@chadh6899 thanks for the insight. I’m going to buy one. I honestly could care less about gains, I just want to hear the 6.7 rumble a little while still carrying the extra weight underneath.
Forgive my ignorance, if all I'm wanting to do is replace the air filter (2020 f350sd w/22k) why would I need to remove the air box? Was this just showing how to do it but not necessarily for filter swap? Thx, love your videos!
just curious , with the air box removed can you reach on headlight bulbs ? I like to replace mine with LED bulbs , but don't really like to remove complete light light which require to remove the grill to do that . Stupid me missed the LED option when I was ordering my 2022 F250 power-stroke .
@@PowerStrokeTechTalkwARod Thanks , glad it is possible to replace the headlight bulbs without taking all front of the truck out for such simple task. 😎
I remember the bad ol days when you just reached into the engine bay & removed the starter, or alternator, or water pump. Today you gotta spend untold hours removing this that & the other to gain access to what you wanna remove. Such a hassle. HOWEVER, just think how easy it is going to be when all vehicles go electric. !
I have almost 25k on my original air filter, the dash says my filter is still good. How often under normal driving conditions should I be replacing the engine air filter?
I visually look at it. Will all depend on your surrounding area....not dusty youll be good...vice versa youll have to be on it. Not really a mileage, just gotta look at it. Id say ur due!
I just found out that you don' t need to pull harder. Just take 3/8 hex key and turn the bottom mount to cut slots in the air box and will slide up easily.
Ok so while this worked. Dont pull where he pulled. Mine was a lil more dry wrotted from i guess a lil more salt and the whole top of the airbox snapped. I had to wrap my hand underneath for the support and pull up.
It's really not hard at all if you don't have any bolts attaching the housing to begin with. I'm not saying mine isn't attached, I'm just saying if someone's '15 happened to be nested freely in there, it would probably be pretty easy.
4:38 before reassembly, i would put some silicone grease to that so next time it should be easy to pop out, and it wont crack and harden over time.
Hey buddy, you need to get yourself a head mounted camera so you have two hands to always work with. Lol

Yes sirrrrr
Big freakin thank you. Struggled and didn’t pull hard bc I thought it was attached.
Seeeee
But man…. I look so forward to watching your content!! Thank you so much brother!
I pulled like you said. The whole engine and tranny came with it. Think I’m gonna change the oil while I got it out.
Better screw in a new 3157 while ur down there 🤷♂️

I was just getting ready to write ‘and you did it all w one hand’ 💪🏼💪🏼 I don’t think you needed to put the camera down, you had it 😁. Nice work Arod!

I did my first one on Saturday 👍👍👍

U just need to take the lid off, thats all
@@PowerStrokeTechTalkwARod got it thanks!! Do you have an opinion on aftermarket filters (cabin/air/fuel) like Docs Diesel vs OEM?
Cabin oem. Fuel filter...stock unless ur doin the HSM stuff
Easy removal. Thanks man!
Sssoooo, what's the next step to installing an S&B?
Hahahahah watching me install the S&B we did already 🤣🤣
Awesome...part number/ref link on the air filter replacement?
Thanks I'm installing a BANKS at the moment👍🏾

@PowerStroke Tech Talk w/ARod for some reason my A/C wouldn't blow cold air untill I drove about 10 miles after install🤔. Ever had that happen?

Wack.
Worked like a charm 2020 didn’t have the sneaky screw or at least mine didn’t
Definitely struggled with this, I didn't want to break it!
Off topic, but does anyone have a fix for the poor camera quality? Picked up my 22 tremor yesterday and the quality on the cameras are terrible…
What is the difference between diesel only air filter and gas only air filter can you use either one or does it matter
....that's why there is a diesel and a gas. No you can't interchange them

Pretty simple 19 step process. Yep😳
Ye aif you played with legos YOU shldnt have a problem 🤣
Why the last part to just clean out the compartment and change air filter?
No because if someone puts a different air filter kit, how the heck they gonna know the next step...

Oh often does that foam filter need to be changed? Rather do this job my self then get charged $100 by the dealer. Thanks
