Joe Guilfoyle police interceptors don't have much modification beyond cooling and charging system, and a little better coil spring over stock. Still a tank of a car to be drifting in.
My older (RIP) brother was a pipefitter. When he was an apprentice he came home once completely blind with his eyes swelled shut. I will never forget him screaming and crying all night from the extreme pain of welders eye. We had frozen him some potatoes to use for the swelling and to offer some relief. Apparently they worked pretty good for this. He never went without proper shielding again after that.
As somebody that has been building the mini jets in Alaska for over 15 years you guys did a great job. The main thing with these boats is to learn and have fun doing so.
Cleet is going to put a jetski motor in his first and then James is going to put a Texas Speed 427 is his! Great content! I love when LS Georgie makes an appearance, also love seeing you get that bread from the Simply Safe ad!
Speaking of miami vice!! The gentleman that rented half of the building I used to work at own one of the remaining boats used in the show. That thing was huge and he didn't waste any time putting TWIN 428 BIG BLOCKS!!! Man did I love seeing him fire it up!!

Once the freedom factory is finished you guys should host a big car show. It would be really cool to see all of your cars and projects in one place. There are so many things your working on and seeing then all in one place would be really cool. Getting some other youtubers to come would be nice aswell
This is what i like to see. Just some friends building something cool. Me and friends all used to hang out at a garage and just build. Didnt matter if worked, or if it worked perfect. Wed stay up all night doing this. Love it.
The big window you have on your boat Cleet is gonna come in clutch to shield you from the wind in cold weather. You just wait everyone will be jealous when the time comes
Lookin good mate! When I built mine I flushed the intake with the hull bottom and made a flange that clamped through the uhmwpe. To help keep the plastic from ripping around the intake. These boats are killer fun

So many of you forget what the primary purpose of the like/dislike feature is. It's to tell youtube what types of videos and content appeal/don't appeal to you. Couple of welder tricks for ya boys. Aluminum and stainless are very reflective, sun screen does wonders. And if you have someone welding behind you and you can see the light from their work on the inside of your lens, you’re getting smoked. A rag or shirt or something to block the light from behind or, a $10 welding screen between you guys will do the trick.
Exactly , a moveable shade, I was a mig, stick & fluxcore welder for 20 years, it's not fun being burned anywhere! Especially the eyes and those curtains help !!

When welding aluminum, I always turn the shade upto 13. Ill weld stainless and regular steel on 10 or 11. Another thing to watch for is the rays reflecting off your work pieces. Welding is rewarding, but dangerous at the same time. Nice work guys, keep it up!
I’m not sure why you wouldn’t put a few welding screens between the boats. It’s easy enough to weld up a few square stands and throw a tarp over it to protect each other’s eyes . Edit : I love the channel but I feel like this channel is always one step away from “Florida man who is also a famous TH-camr loses (insert body part) in drastic accident “ . Remember to be as safe as possible out there while entertaining us Cleet and fam .

the load meter probably peaked to the end when 4 of them were welding at once lol they cannot charge more then the needle at the scale end LOL (probably some electronics junk meters irl, A/C cooled shop, multiple welders and the carpet? probably cost 4x more than the knockdown boat kits ;)
When I worked in a welding shop right out of high school I learned quickly that other welders behind you or to the side of you can easily give you flash burn by reflecting off the inside of your hood or hitting your peripherals with their arc flashes
So cool you are building these yourselves. It's all about the experience! Next time you have to weld up / fab some aluminum your going to be like "no sweat"... as for me I have never welded aluminum so I am going to bring all my ultra high end tig jobs that require the most precise welds to McFarland Fab and get on the 2 year waitlist!
That's why in welding shops you see the bays divided by the large orange (sometimes blue/green) UV blocker sheets hung up. Reflective light is still light boys.

Cleet should leave them welds in the bottom--so high they'll act like fins and keep the boat goin' straight!
I had a MasterCraft that had little skegs on the bottom so you could do crazy power turns. He has almost enough weld bead to do the same.
This project improved everyone's welding ability. Only way to get better is by welding and this was a lot of welding.

Hey boys, love the vids. Just a quick bit of info for you, if you were clear safety glasses when you're not welding but someone near you is, it reduces the chances of getting welding flash (welders eye i think you called it). Look forward to seeing the finished product.

(There wasn’t really any reason to have one down in the spot that the mishap happened because it shouldn’t have poked through like that)

I find a pair of tight fitting sunglasses under the welding helmet is the best way to protect against reflections from behind you whether it be the sun or someone else’s welding arc.
