    Great job on the extension but why did you not paint it while it was apart. Maybe because as you said the customer owns a powder coating business?

    • @Slane583
      @Slane583 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Because it's for a guy who owns a power coating business. He probably just wanted it widened and nothing more.

    We need to see this little go kart in action !! I’m very intrigued by the front control arms that might benefit my hammerhead 80t

    Good info as always! Thanks for sharing. I've often wondered about the vertical load on the extensions you add, but I see you put them on a lot of different frames and never seem to have any issues. Good stuff!

    Very cool upgrade. I'm not crazy about the engine mounted to the swingarm. Seems like it will cause issues over time, but I couldn't say how else to mount it give the short wheelbase. Maybe hang it from the chassis above? IDK. That thing is all kinds of cool though!

    Hey have you ever looked in the building one of those King midgets think you would do an awesome twist on it

    • @donellmuniz590
      @donellmuniz590 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      One of those made into a 4x4 would be damn cool. Kind of a half-size Jeep. They're gettin' pretty hard to come by, but I do know where one is.

      By the way, in these PC, liberal times, you have to call them a King Little Person now🤣. Same for the MG.

      Say, you know the Cars and Cameras boys, Ike and John, are in North Carolina (with additional property in West Virginia😄). I bet they'd make a trip for that.

    If I have a torque converter on my go kart can I change to a clutch

  • @aaronfarrin4057
    @aaronfarrin4057 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Another thing that be really awesome that I haven't seen anybody else do on here at least from what I've seen anyway is put like a car engine on a go-kart or a crawler or something maybe even a four-cylinder I saw at LS fest video where some young kids took a Chinese go-kart LS swapped it but it's another thing that if you did it it would have been a hundred times better theirs look the borderline dangerous keep up the good work love the content keeps getting better and better

    • @donellmuniz590
      @donellmuniz590 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's cuz of the weight: that much weight (even an aluminum block 4 banger is 250-300 lbs) would require a much stronger frame, axles, wheels, tires, etc. Then you're really just building a small baja buggy or sports car (like an Ariel Atom).

      Yes, because you can't cut off and modify mounting points with an engine bolted to it.

    if i was to spend all that effort on my childs toy id like to think id fabricate a motor mount and remove the engine from the swingarm since the child has already flipped it couple times its only too obvious he has outgrown the rediculous golf cart factory system ..... or better yet build him a real buggy.... 😁

    • @biggadigittydee7607
      @biggadigittydee7607 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Grady Turner I just commented the same thing😆 Great minds think alike👍🏻

    • @donellmuniz590
      @donellmuniz590 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      If ya remove the engine from the swingarm, wouldn't the chain come off when the suspension flexed? I suppose a sturdy chain tensioner could be devised, as long as it was spring loaded.

    Those who dont listen others and they set up their buggy with swingarm and solid axle (engine on frame) are the ones that will run around cv axle bs..irs or cv joints are only good for rock climbing..nothing else..
