Nanning is where I have lived on and off since 2004 and permanently since 2019 after retiring from teaching in Zhaoqing Guangdong. I live with my Chinese wife since 2007 and we have a home in the suburbs. Love the city and its people.
Awesome Andy for such inspirational insights presentation of China City. Beautifully lush green amongst tall buildings 👌👍magnificently beautiful architectures & clean 👌👍thanks Andy sharing your experience. Impressive & brilliantly articulated 👌👍👏🥂🍾🙏🙏🙏
Absolutely excellent! They should employ you to sell China's cities . . . your voice is calm and make people want to hear what you have to say. The content of the video is excellent. AND of course Nanning is excellent . . . Thank you!
My Dad’s cousin (姑姑)and her family decided to migrate from Nanning to Sydney, Aus in 2003. I bet they themselves will readily recognize how rapidly Nanning has transformed. Sydney OTOH won’t have as much leap forward like it.
Look, I live in Sydney over 20 years. Every Aussie would tell you Australia is the best ever in every which way 🤥🤫🤭. And, very good at licking America ass and then bashing China for good measure. Aussie! Aussie! Aussie! Oi! Oi! Oi!🤔😐😶🙄died hard Aussie ❤😂🤣😅🤡🤠
Great video of a beautiful city! Thanks for showing such wonderful content & great quality video of China! We need some positivity & beauty shown about our world these days! If countries care more about beautifying their cities/towns/provinces & their citizens, we would have such a better world! No countries are perfect, but at least China is advocating beauty, culture & peace for its people!! Thank you Andy! I'm glad you are there in China to show the truth to the world! Other countries & their politicians need to do better & improve their people's lives & their own countries instead of spending money to demonize other countries & keep spreading negative propaganda against those countries they don't like or are jealous of or threatened by (in their own imaginary minds)!
Great video showing the true experience of Nanning. I always appreciate your videos because you show all of the authentic China, the modern and developing areas. At 5:48 there was huge mosque if any Muslims are interested so there must be lots of halal food there.
Great video! Just curious, though, about the overhead drone shots. Do you need a permit to take those shots? Or can anyone just fly their drones anywhere?
According to China’s national aviation authority, the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), flying a drone is legal in China. Any drones weighing 250 grams (.55 pounds) or more must be registered with the CAAC. Licensing is required for commercial operations and in other scenarios. See the section below to learn more about the scenarios that require licensing by the CAAC. Do not fly beyond your visual line of sight. Do not fly above 120 meters (394 feet). Do not fly in densely populated areas. Do not fly around airports, military installation, or other sensitive areas such as police checkpoints or sub-stations. Registration requires the personal information of the individual as well as details about the drone and its usage. You will need to provide: Owner’s name. Valid personal ID number (such as ID or passport number). Mobile phone and email address Product model number. Serial Number. Purpose of use As a foreign visitor, you don’t require a specific drone pilot license to operate your drone in China but there are certain rules you need to follow to ensure everyone’s safety. For registration, you don’t need to register your drone. Unlike residents and commercial operators, you can simply bring your drone and start flying once you arrive in China. This eases the administrative burden for tourists and simplifies the process, making it more accessible for visitors. You just need to fly responsibly, follow the rules, and consider getting that insurance for a worry-free experience
What's the best way to begin my visit? Just buy a plane ticket and when I land figure out accommodations, phone, in country paying for products and services? My mandarin is almost non-existent; haven't used it in 10 years.

@teflerchina.2987 Thanks
Avoid airports and you’re mostly all good!
slower electric vehicle is better, a lot of accidents here because e bikes, they pull up very fast and very quiet on the road.

@@ReportsOnChina thank you. 👍
@@ReportsOnChinakeep up the great work! Love both of your geopolitical and travel themed videos
Andy, can you talk about the police arrest of Halloween revelers in Shanghai? What was going on?

Depends on your travel style! Best at least set up your creditcard on AliPay before you come. The rest you can do when you arrive...
VPN or two will be good.
@@ReportsOnChina Definitely agree with Andy to get AliPay going and things organised a bit before going.
In Nanning it is common to yam-cha
But at what cost does having so much green cost?
It cost less than burning coal or gasoline, green produces the oxygen, and taken up the CO2...
BBC headline be like: "Nanning is Called 'The Green City'. But at What Cost"?.
@@ToiChutGongWu 🤣
Yeah leave geopolitics behind and start promoting China properly…That’s my type of video…
