My dad has a 2004 Land Cruiser 120 3.0 turbo diesel automatic he bought it new and now it has 812,000 km on it, still original engine and transmission only turbo has been replaced, otherwise just regular services. These things don't die. Greetings from Estonia!

We have many of these in the Middle East. They still make them in 2018 with almost the same design as this one except for a few minor changes. However, we get them only with V6 4.0 gasoline engines. People like them for their reliability and off-road capability. They can withstand harsh conditions for a long time and many miles.

There is a 1 ft difference between this and the swb. These are MWB that stopped coming sometime in the late 90s earls 2000s. Tho this with a 1gr would be SICKKK.
P.s middle east never got the frp top mwb. only imported.

I translated prices on these 750,000 to 1.8 million yen=$6,600 to $16,000. That's actually less than what I thought, 200 series Land Cruisers in the US, in good condition, no rust are in that general price range. And they usually have 200,000 or 300,000 miles on them and still get that sort of price.
This looks like a nice truck, not a speck of rust on it. And its the cool body style everybody wants, with all the options they want, lifted, diff locks, bigger diesel engine, 5 speed. Plus its something different, that's always the cool thing as well.

    FYI
An other option for these cars with sn FRP top where backdoors where you could remove the glass panels so only the metal part would stay on the car. You can recognise these by the black frame around the glass.
    But these are very rare!
I found a set at a car salvage (demolischer) Did not move them up becourse its a hell of a job to remove the complete soft top.

Thanks for the info! I just bought a BJ73V and I still need to pick it up, but the car has the rear black window frames, and seems to be removable! If the information/photos are right, it only has done 94.000km!

Anyone know if these are made anywhere as a LHD (left hand drive) model?

Then you have to look in the Netherlands, many HZJ73 (different colours) and HZJ74 (most of them grey) are sold in the Netherlands as a light commercial vehicle. I had more than 10 years a HZJ73 (red), and now a 2000er HZJ74 in a very good condition, a 2 seater, but extremely reliable! 4.2
l engine, and the 74's are mostly equipped with A/C. Because of the rules, they have blinded windows in the back.

@@reck0n3r 91 is what I found in Canada. Just a receipt form, transit permit, then an appraisal, taxes register & safety then licence. I don't know about importing. Maybe ask a company that does that & make a request?

Hi Derek, could you please explain what Canada Import means? As far as I know successfully importing an older vehicle to Canada does not guarantee that you will be able to register and license it. For example, some provinces will not license right hand drive vehicles or certain salvage branded vehicles even once repaired. Please contact your provincial or territorial licensing department to learn more about registering an older imported vehicle, before you import it. For vintage replica vehicles, the age is assessed using the final date of completion of the replica, not the model year it replicates. If an importer is unable to provide valid proof of age to establish a vehicle’s non-regulated status, CBSA officers will assess a vehicle for importation according to normal guidelines, which can result in its denial at the Canadian border if the vehicle does not comply. I guess the major problem for such RV is to import and register it in Canada. How your customer in Canada figured it out?
