    So three things...
    1. The inverter is probably for the fog lights.
    2. The passenger window, if it’s like a Jeep and uses contacts that only work when the door is closed, maybe they’re dirty? If not, the wiring could be broken in the door jamb... if you still have it around and want to try, check it with the door open in different positions and wiggling the wiring in the door jamb... it may come to life!
    3. Since the timing belt sticker (95k km) doesn’t lie, I bet the odometer was rolled back exactly 100k km... ~80k k’s in 12 years sounds perfectly reasonable to me, and it’s very common in parts of the world to roll them back (e.g. Russia). Maybe the original-ish owner (it must not be a car flipper since it has such old plates) thought that since they didn’t meet their reserve price last time, they could trick someone into paying a higher price due to the good condition it’s in and didn’t know the auction houses track that stuff now? Like I mean, maybe back in their day, it was common to roll odometers back, send the cars to auction, and nobody would be the wiser? But now since everything is stored in databases, the auction house probably told them when they went in that the mileage is going to be listed as unknown and convinced him to either set the reserve low, or to have no reserve since that might scare some people away. I dunno... just my take on it. I think he’s right that it probably has ~175,000km on it, but was well cared for in its lifetime and will be a great vehicle for whoever bought it.

Beautiful HZJ73. Hopefully it is coming to the east coast so I can see it at some Land Cruiser outings.

Hey I’ve been looking heavily into importing one of these land cruisers to the US. What would a similar to this land cruiser usually go for at auction?

I already did it but haven't edited the video. I'm hoping to get that done this week. The event was super fun but I'm afraid the video footage is a bit boring. You can walk faster than we were driving... haha

What happens to all the original alloy wheels like the one that was on the rear door? Every time you show a 4x4 they're always on aftermarket wheels.

I bet it’s just like any other car... they were replaced 15+ years ago and may have been sold off, or they went in storage and piled on top of (making it a pain to get to, so they didn’t go with it to auction). I’m more concerned with the missing 100,000km...

David Kane The tyres on the wheels it has fitted are snow tyres, I thought maybe it’s like in parts of Europe were they have two sets of wheels one fur summer and one for winter.

He’ll never say since it’s a privacy thing... maybe the owner is looking and will comment, but a lot of PCA’s customers are dealers who resale the vehicles at profit and don’t want the auction price disclosed... if you search enough, you may be able to find the completed auction listing for this and find out for yourself...
