A Russian doctor once told me the pineal gland rests from 9 pm until 2 am and if you are awake during that time, it will not be able to function well. I follow TCM and regularly see an acupuncturist. I developed a really bad habit of going to bed late, sometimes 3 am. I am trying really hard to break that habit and your chart showing the two hour intervals and how they are associated with the various organs was very enlightening. Thanks for your very educational videos.

In fact, I used to stay up until 1:00 a.m., sometimes even 3:00 a.m. for a long period of about 6 months to a year. As a result, I suffered from insomnia, my kidneys functioned poorly, and my heart often beat. faster than normal, my immune system is much weaker, making me susceptible to colds. Not to mention many other diseases that I won't list because it's quite long. I often feel so tired that I want to die. It took almost 2 years to find the cause and I have to tell you that you should really go to bed at 9 pm to have a healthy body free from disease and feel at maximum capacity every morning. daytime. I have tried many methods of diet, exercise, meditation, qigong, I have even fasted and I confirm that nothing is more effective than going to bed early. Of course, you also need to eat and exercise regularly. If you persevere for 2-3 months, you will see a difference. 1 month may not see much if your body is too sick or you have insomnia, let your body get used to it. sleeping early. Naturally, once your body gets used to it, it will wake up without an alarm clock at 5 a.m. if you regularly go to bed at 9 p.m. You definitely shouldn't let your mind get too excited or stressed before going to bed by reading or watching things that stimulate your mind. I have epilepsy and one of the things that is very important is that you do not get sleep deprived, stay hydrated, no caffeine, definitely no liquor and try to stay away from to much stress. Doing Meditation is good for people with epilepsy.

    • @Sweetlyfe
      @Sweetlyfe ปีที่แล้ว +4

I had epilepsy growing up, I was heavily medicated from the age of 7, I had Tonic Clonic seizures, I would sleep a lot because it was the early 70’s when I started on medication, so I was always asleep early usually by 8.30pm at the latest when I was older, I never had to be told to go to bed. But I struggle with sleep most of my adult life, since I came off the anticonvulsants. I actually need 10hrs sleep to feel rested, but I never get that. I do drink a lot of water, I do have caffeine though, but I don’t drink alcohol, never have as my Cousin still has seizures because she drinks alcohol, I had 2 seizures about 5yrs ago the first since I was a kid, but it was other medication I was taking for nerve pain, which ironically is an anti-convulsant but they can also case them. Been good since I stopped taking that medication, I haven’t had any other seizures thank goodness, because I live in the bush off grid and can’t live without driving. I try not to get too stressed, but it does happen, thankfully a walk with my dog soon fixes it, and sitting watching nature and the native wild animals and birds.

My husband spent 16 years working irregular shifts, literally a different shift every day and a different schedule every week. It was awful. 5 mk ths ago, he switched departments and has a 5am to 1:30pm shift, 5 days per week, and it's amazing to see how much better he feels with a regular sleep schedule. He has to go to sleep at about 730 to be up by 430, but it's just a world better than a different shift and sleep time every day. I don't know how he did it for so long. Now I'm trying to get to sleep as quickly after work as I can, which ends at 9pm. Feels better already. As a teenager, I was down by 10, up without an alarm at 5. Makes such a difference!

In Ayurveda the time from 6 to 10am and pm is Kapha. From 10am to 2pm and from 10pm to 2 am Pitta and from 2 to 6 am and pm Vata. It's best to fall asleep before 10 pm, in Kapha and wake up before 6 am, in Vata. If you fall asleep after 10 pm, it is already Pitta, the time for greatest activity, so it will be very difficult to fall asleep. And if you wake up after 6am, it is already Kapha, so the whole day you will feel sleepy and lethargic. 😊

Will make a dedicated effort to get back to 11 - 6:30. Will update in a couple weeks to see how successful I am.

I am forcing myself to go to sleep every night. l usually try to go to bed at 8pm, but all most every night at midnight I woke up going to pee and couldn't go back to sleep. When I have blood tested, and the result came out with my liver level is higher than normal. With all this time, I blame on my alcohol drinking habit. When I stopped/paused drinking, my liver level is lower, but still higher than normal. So between 12pm to 3am, I have not got a good sleep at all, just tossed up and down.

I unfortunately don't adhere to a set bedtime because my sleep is all over the place, am overweight because of that (not over eating), and snore do to overweight, have an adjustable bed.....I went through healing from adrenal fatigue syndrome when dx with it in 2014, at that time was only getting 2-3 hours a sleep per day, but I researched AFS, immune system, sleep deprivation, nutrition, so I understand very much how important sleep is........but it threw my sleep out of wack and been trying to get on a schedule ever since....so I am going to try your 30 day challenge of going to bed before 11pm.... I do not do caffeine I weened myself off that back in 2015.....magnesium and selenium levels are normal, so are all vitamins and other minerals as I get tested periodically

Based on what you said in the beginning of the video, I would need 1,095,000 days to recover from all my late nights... wow so I need three thousand years to recover... 3000 years... I really don't want to be here that long... I'm actually looking forward to leaving here as soon as possible... when I was young I thought it would be cool to become immortal... I've changed my mind about this world... Anyway good video thanks for the advice I'm trying hard to get to bed early all the time again and again and it just ain't happening...

Hi -thank you for this video. Next, my mom pass on January 12, 2023 @ 92. I had been her primary care giver. At this point, much of the estate matters have been handled for which I am grateful for. With this said, I found that my sleeping schedule had been turned upside down. This is not the norm for me. Usually, I am lights out sometime between 9 and 10 p.m. and up between 5 and 6 a.m. without an alarm. As diligent as I try to be my sleep schedule has not return to what I would consider to be healthy. The grief part of all this shows up at the most unexpected times. What I done in order to deal with this situation is surrender to it having faith it will right itself. Eat healthy and be grateful. Any suggestions?

My condolences for your loss. Im not a TCM practitioner but I have been pondering on TCM's concepts of sleep timing & regeneration of TCM's definition of "Named Organs" which as Alex have stated carries very different concepts from modern medicine's anatomical definition of Organs. Its more accurate to think of the "Gall Bladder" restoration from 11pm-1am as describing the hormonal & biochemical pathways of the body as TCM do not have a seperate categorization for how modern medicine understands the body & the "Gall Bladder" organ was the closest TCM ever has to define & relate to hormonal/biochemistry interactions in the body, & even the "Liver" organ for 1am-3am is somewhat relatated to modern medicine's hormonal & biochemical pathways in the body as "Liver organ/pathway" in TCM often relates to anything related to detoxification for the body in TCM, I guess we would need to add in the Meridian pathway which Modern Medicine has only recently discovered which TCM accupunturists have been using as a way to stimulate the body's hormonal & biochemical pathways to treat patients. I think the more important thing to do is to cultivate a regular sleeping & waking hours instead of fretting & stressing yourself over your later sleeping hours, & getting sufficient sleep of over 8 hours so your body have sufficient time to rest & recuperate will be more vital for your health over the exact time you sleep since TCM was invented thousands of years ago in societies people rest early when its night time & there were no bright electrical lightings supporting nightlife activities into wee hours which we have now with people working on permanent night shifts who can still live healthier life than their daytime working peers. I have also seen reports discussing how it is common for older folks to experience difficulties sleeping earlier or sleeping sufficiently as they tend to wake up more frequently at night(I wonder if its related to poorer health in old folks), having regular sufficient exercises should help give your body a better sleep too. Take your time to gradually adjust to an earlier sleeping time, don't stress & force yourself too much, listen to some calming music, dim your lights, drink some chamonile tea, or use some lavender aroma therapy to help you relax & ease you into an earlier sleeping hour.

If you were to die today, are you a 100% sure you will go to heaven?
If no, here is what the bible says,
      (1) Romans 3:23 KJV [23] For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.
Q1. Do you know what Sin is?
Sin is anything bad that we have done.
      Q2. Have you sinned before?
      Yes or No?
      (2) Revelation 21:8 KJV [8] But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
Because we have sinned, and God does not allow Sin into Heaven, the punishment is burning hell.
What is the way to reconcile our peace and relationship with God?
Q3. Do you know the Story of Jesus?
      (3) Romans 5:8 KJV [8] But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Jesus = God who lived up in Heaven, but he came down on earth and became a man like us, he lived for 33.5 years without committing any sin. Then there were certain people who were jealous and therefore framed him on phony charges, and crucified him. Then he was buried and resurrected on the third day; Now he lives in HEAVEN.
Q4. Do you know why Jesus went through all this bloody mess for us?
A4. As mentioned, our sin is the reason why we can’t go to heaven, and the only thing that can wash away our sin is the Blood of Jesus.
      (4) Romans 5:9 KJV [9] Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
According to the bible, the only way for us to reconcile with God is through Christ Jesus’s blood, and not through any works that we do or merits we accumulate, such as water baptism, attending church, or any good thing that we do. The following verses clearly support this.
      (5) Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV [8] For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: [9] Not of works, lest any man should boast.
      (6) 2 Corinthians 7:10 KJV [10] For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.
In order to get saved, repentance of one’s sin is needed to get saved, we need to be sorry, and repent, with conviction, that we are a wretched sinner.
      (7) Romans 10:9 KJV [9] That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
If you truly do believe in everything you have heard in the gospel, ,I strongly suggest you to make a proclamation to GOD! You can say it to God in less than 15 seconds !Repeat after this simple prayer, to make sure you truly get saved. Remember repeating this prayer doesn't save you, it's you telling God you BELIEVE THE GOSPEL. Ok, here is the prayer :
      ‘Dear GOD,
I know I am a sinner, as I repent, I put my faith, that Jesus is GOD, and that he died, buried and resurrected, so that his blood, can wash away my Sins. I put my faith in that alone to save me, not my good works. In Jesus’s holy name, I pray. Amen!
Congratulations ! Now you are a child of God. Download /Buy a KJV bible (I highly suggest getting a hard copy bible , as one day, it will be illegal to buy, own or even have an online version of the bible) and search for youtube channel like REAL Bible Believers , Spencer Smith to help you grow , study dispensationalism to understand the bible ( How do we reconcile the verses in the New Testament that tell us that we need works to show our faith, and another that tells us that nothing that can take our salvation away? That's why we need to study biblical dispensationalism to rightly divide the word of God.( study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth, 2 Timothy 2:15) (I recommend the dispensationalism video from Genesis to Revelations by Dr. Gene Kim, th-cam.com/video/GI4CteEFxOk/w-d-xo.html) , Jesus in Genesis (th-cam.com/video/RmnUkNT55gU/w-d-xo.html)
join a bible believing church. God bless you brother/ sister ☺. See you in heaven one day!

Western science slowly comes around and confirms getting to bed according to the author of The Circadian Code, Satchin Panda. Going to bed early and shorten your meal times are two important factors for optimal health.

Should I take sleeping pills? I am a very late sleeper. If I accidentally fell asleep (nap) in the afternoon, about an hours or so, then I will be awake until almost in the morning! So, I tried to drink green tea to be awake during the day, so I can go to sleep before midnight! Sometimes it works and sometimes not! But no matter how or when I fell asleep, I will be awaken after 4 hrs anyway!😅 If I slept more than 4-5 hrs. I will have headache! Thia happened all the times! Now I'm turning 71, I want to have a longer sleeping times. Please help!!😥😓 Thank you very, very much and hope to hear from you. Looking forward to hear from you, doctor. 💜

After 4 to 5 hours of not eating protein the body starts to eat red blood cells because it needs protein. That’s what nutritionist Aajonus Vonderplanitz says anyway. He recommends to eat some raw animal protein and then go back to sleep.
I have the same problem. For me the issue though is going back to sleep. All I can say is that eating something when I wake up at night helps me feel less drained when I wake up.

When you talk about time, I'm sure the ancient chinese measured time as it naturally occurred through the day, i. e. noon being the sun at the highest point right above, etc. IMHO this is relevant when discussing time measurement vs ancient wisdom. Thus, disregard DST or consider some populated areas which observe time from a distant capital city for example.
