I think this music represents really well the dark times. How difficult and full of despair the fight of the rebelion was before what we see in the original trilogy. I loved this movie. It was like a breath of air between what they did with episodes VII and VIII.

desplat got fired and giacchino had to write and compose a new soundtrack in 4 weeks

The music was composed by the team at Ninja Tracks. The song is called Machination. Wasn't composed by Alexandre Desplat.
Truly, one of the best sci-fi films ever made. And of course, one of the best Star Wars films to date. Along with Episode 3, 4, 5, 6, 7. Also parts of the Clone Wars TV series's, and I guess all of Rebels too.
Rogue One has earned it's place in history already.

My all time favourite Star Wars Movie, apart from maybe Empire, I loved everything about this film; original new characters, great story and visuals and the soundtrack was phenomenal. XD

As an adult, I think Rogue One perfectly interpreted how a real rebellion should work. And also the real One for All, All for one fighting, and the real team works from space to ground battle. Also the dark side of the light is greatly described by the protagonists.

I want a movie that focuses on a squad of clones from the 501st that focuses on the transition from the Republic to the empire on the core worlds. Plus it can show a in depth look at the attack on the jedi temple and it could lend itself to some badass vader scenes since the 501st became vader's fist

The funny thing is, that this film relativized the biggest victories of the rebellion, because this one was the biggest and most important one and the turning point in the war of rebellion...and all this even before the events in the original series (which I think are the best star wars movies*) has been started. But I like it. Its realistic and makes sense. The true heroes rarely get the recognition they deserve and the second and third punch from Luke have not been unimportant either.
*Ok, Rogue One may be my favorite star wars movie with Episode 5...followed by 6 and 4.
Couldn't agree more. Can't believe that there are people who rate the Prequels higher than the OT + Rogue One. Guess it's cause they grew up with the Prequels and CW, but then again, I did too, and I prefer the story about the Empire and the Rebellion more than anything else in STAR WARS.

ya know Its rare for me to comment on a picture in a video. But like being those troopers it would be awe-shocking to have your super weapon looming over a planet that is consumes the sky. Like they would feel near unbeatable with at much power. Its no wonder so many troopers in the comics and shows believed in the empire so strongly. It would be hard with such a space station able to roam the galaxy to not feel like the empire was the only one able to bring stability to the galaxy.

This track goes with a story of movie battle where one side is totally out ranked in numbers but can fight the battle and win by constantly out maneuvering the greater in numbers and power. We've done it before when there looked like absolutely no path to victory from a point of being 2 sides vs. a small handful and the sheep pin. The overriding of both established sides at one precise moment, and we'd done it by just continuing to carry on the fight until we won. That's why I was sent to do this the way I've done it and he was sent to do what he's been doing. The 2 of us the last 4 years actually pulled off the greatest heist of all-time. Virtually the entire aware blockchain stacked totally against us in 2015. Just look how far we took this all-around in 4 years. It's a feat neither of us could of accomplished without the other. You to the physical realm and myself to the ethereal powered realm and mind for the battles.

I feel like if Solo was released on Disney+ first and not in theatres it would have been better received. It wasn't a bad movie, a little unnecessary and definitely could have been improved in many areas, but still enjoyable and entertaining
the problem with box offices is that they're really more like a review for the last movie to come out, that's why the sequels had such good earnings, ep.3 was great, so were rogue one and solo, so the sequels got great box offices
but the sequels sucked, so the movies after them, Rogue one, solo, and whatever comes next, had and will have terrible earnings
