Lucas Thek Junior final 2023 CKNA Charlotte Spring Nationals

Good race here riding with Lucas Thek in the 2023 Cup Karts North America Spring Nationals 16-lap Junior final at Charlotte Motor Speedway's 15-turn kart track.
Riding an OTK Gillard chassis, Thek, of Miami, Fla., races hard inside the top 5 and top 10 throughout the race and he'd go purple with the fastest lap of the contest with a 47.491 on lap 7. Thek would end up P8 of 50 starters in the race! The final starting field was shortened from 60 overall entrants to 50 starters after Sunday morning's Last Chance Qualifier race.
The CKNA Spring Nationals is likely the second largest race in 2023 for Briggs-powered CIK 206 karts, only behind CKNA's Grand Nationals each October at New Castle (Ind.) Motorsports Park.
Lucas Thek is an up-and-coming Junior 206 kart racer and this race in the Spring Nationals was one of his best showings to date.
