In this video I will show you the condo I found and talk about why I chose this area. I will also give a little tour of the area.

Good stuff and congrats on the new digs! Too funny in that you're in the same place as R4K. I didn't realize until his last video that I was actually watching Grand Avenue being built as I stayed at the Central Azure several times in the past. It's a great spot as you've both noted, with easy access to Soi Diana/LK and the Avenue Mall.

Great video! Welcome to the neighborhood. Bought a unit across the street some years ago, at centara, and i feel it is one of the best locations to live in Pattaya. Glad to see the laundry lady is still open and doing well :) enjoy your stay!

I lived in City Garden just past the Mercure Hotel for a few years. I renovated a two bedroom condo in building D. I sold it three years ago to Coastal Real Estate. Pretty much everything you show is changed or new, including your condo bldg. There was a delapidated hotel there before it was built. Many memories in every step you take. I'm from Cleveland . Not too many Americans doing what your doing. Best of luck, like your approach, just subscribed ! I will spread the word to us expats now back in the States !

I went to that mall many times when I was there last Dec. There was a great pizza place, Sergio's, on the bottom level, didn't see it in the video, hope it's still there as I will be returning in Jun of 2021 permanently. After watching R4K and this video, this place is definitely in my top 5, may have to opt for Jomtien as I have a thai g.f. and will probably need a slightly larger place and Jomtien is slightly cheaper.

Great Vid, love the neighborhood. Back in March, I stayed across the street from your place at Azure Hotel. I also used the same laundry service and ate at The Hideaway. Later on that trip I stayed at the Areca on Soi Diana. It’s a great area. Thank for the reminder.

Great video, that's not bad for around $500 usd. I plan on going for a 6 month stay but found a place in Ekkamai. Hope everything reopens, then your area would be perfect. 👍

I stayed there for a month, sure is a great spot, but now it’s Jomtien for me as I have a Thai girlfriend and it’s a better fit for us, less distractions and a more relaxed lifestyle, good luck on your Thai journey!

What do people like about Soi 15? Is Naklua good?
@@billytheweasel Soi 15 is near the center of the action yet it is pretty quiet.
Naklua is nice. Just not close to the activity.

I really like that area. I have stayed in tge Travelodge just up the street. I used tge same laundry service. Sad to see so many businesses closed. I liked the pizza place downstairs of the Robin Hood. Post office is close on soi 13/2 as well. Great area. I have been interested in the Grand condos as well

Just found you. I enjoyed the video. Good luck to you. Grand Avenue looks to be a great starting point for a beginner ex-pat. I'm looking at Northpoint, I prefer the sea view.

I’m paying 799 a month. I thing it like 100/40
The laundry service you used charges by the piece like a hotel, there are many that charge by kilo
Always charged 60 baht a kilo when I was there - you just have to ask her to weigh bag.
Same place I get my laundry done. I love to smell of it when its done. I've asked numerous laundry places what they use to make the clothes smell so good but no one will ever tell me. Its like a big secret in the laundry business 😆
I usually stay right across the street from you at the centara when I stay in oattaya but lately I've stayed in Jomtien off of soi 5. Much quieter there
My next place is gonna have a washer. I will miss the smell
This looks like a standard condo in Pattaya. Good luck with it. I would also recommend any of the projects by Heights Holdings.

Mr DIY looks like a sort of Dollar General-type store. Like Grand Avenue place you got, real nice.

Always stay Soi 15 - best location in town - watched it getting built over the last few years and intend staying there next time - some great deals there now.
Why Soi 15? Is Naklua okay?
@@billytheweaselEverything within walking distance - Naklua too far from action - need to get two baht buses to central Pattaya.
This video is going to make Grand Avenue to be popular. Prices will increase later. 15K per month is OK but later on you'll get tired of pool view with others stairing each other.
Good for S-tourists and S-pats but not good for long-term expats. Most prefer street view.
Later on you might want to check out Jomtien again or get a house in East Pattaya.
We'll probably go for a sea view this Spring but I do like a busy street view.
I can definitely reassess later. This is fine for now.

I stayed at the Riviera a few days. It had great facilities but the room I was in was way too small.

Korandos has great pizza - food is excellent and the place is super clean!
I tried it last week. Was good. Done. The street the other direction Volare just opened. Brick oven pizza. Was excellent
Good choice. Best of luck there. I've been scoping out places there. Out of quarantine 13Feb and leaving Bangkok 31March then off to Pattaya. I've seen this building and I like it. Did you use an agent or deal directly with building?
They are mostly thought agent. And all the agents have separate listings so I delt with like 5 of them before I found a place

I got that completely wrong about grand avenue you did not seem keen on that condo complex i said in comment. But seeing the area looks good and person to do washing even better.

I looked at grand avenue a few years back while it was under construction, and its a great kocation. Good choice!!!
Ok. Cool. I planned mine out way in advance too. You gotta wait till you know you are financially ready. Don’t want to live this lifestyle for a few yes then have to go back. That would be terrible

Some no brand that has contract with the building. I forgot the name. It was ok.
Normally stay around that area in Soi Boomerang 🪃, Nice and quiet at night and 5 min walk to the action 😎

Hi.. I've enjoyed a few of your videos. I really like the Location of your condo. I have 2 questions for you one is a deal breaker. Do they have a bit bigger one bedroom units? 65 or 70 meters. And the deal breaker question... how is the water pressure?
Good water pressure. There are some units a little bigger than mine. Not sure the exact size

@@GreenyTravels is it a 2 bedroom they are going for about 20k baht a month just make sure you get government rate for water and electric i learned that lesson the hard way living there my first year
