+KatherineMacChesney Sounds like somebody has a resentment. God of the Bible loves ALL things good. AA is a gift that has been good to millions. Millions of people getting and STAYING sober, for over 80 years and counting, in AA makes it quite relevant.
Go to a local aa womans meeting or any meeting close. See who would look like a good fit to sponsor you and get started. If I could do it anyone can. I was highly addicted to alcohol and couldn't function without it. I surrender to just today I won't drink. But you have to also take all the suggestions. The miracle happens for everyone that truly works for it.
Im 3 days sober from alcohol and marijuana. All i want to do during the day is sleep. Then night comes and i cant fall asleep. My only emotions are sadness and anger. I dont have a job and dont feel like i can do anything. I used to be capable and confident. Now i am bursting into tears everyday which makes me feel weak and pathetic. Im going for a walk and listening to this because i dont know what else to do.
Your job is to stay sober and work in aa. Your uniquely qualified and fine tuning your skills. How else can you help someone else get through it without doing yourself. This is literally why your here on this planet. To get sick get well and save others. Good job
It's a process that takes time. Be gentle with yourself. Maybe cying through it is exactly what you need? Walking and listening to this stuff has been super helpful. Sobriety takes time and practice. You're literally building a new you. Hope you're OK 🙏🍀 Also, sorry to spew advice, but aiming for a sleep schedule was significant for me.
Now you can tell another human being who has 2 days, how to get 3, and so on. Someone out there has no clue how to stay sober even one day. You conquered that already. Get out of yourself, find a meeting, sit next to a man who's newer than you, and help him get what you have, and tell him the kinds of emotions you have so he can prepare for it.

I was introduced to Sandy B. while living across the state from Tampa in Melbourne Florida. He was munched loved. So sorry that he passed over the rainbow bridge in 2014.
While listening to him I got a silent message that he passed then I just read it in the comments which verified it But what a great power of example and a carrier of such a beautiful message He is in the light with God I know
I read that he passed a year ago but strangely enough didn't realize it was at a meeting! Sandy B obit I read prior to my meeting. He was a true soldier of spiritual recovery. I am moved by he and the other stalwarts of AA speak lore.
Powerless, I see it everyday! So God has used it for me to use it as a visual tool to help and stay sober. I keep going to AA because it keeps me well. I don't ever want to be trapped in a box. I may be sober to go into pastures to help, not watch behind or on a screen.

I agree. Its like in the "Good Book" where it says pray in a closet which means dont go around "bragging about being Christian" but instead "be" a Christian. Be sober, live sober, practice these principles means do it in a practical way and become masters of the craft (craft=practical art or science) like a medical practice or legal practice where the "practicioners" are the masters of the craftwork not beginners but they know that they are forever improving how they do what they do. That is the program: progress not perfection because we are always growing in understanding.
If it's happening and I'm not trying, it's not my damn plan! I don't think I should need to explain my spiritual life, I don't ask anyone else to do it.

This is exactly where God wants you to be right now. If you go back to using, you're right back where YOU want to be. How's that worked out so far?
