    Dear Frank, thank you for my 36 years of continuous sobriety in Alcoholics Anonymous! I am but one of the many, many Alcoholic’s lives that you have saved. And for that, myself and my family, are forever grateful. I love you Frank. Sincerely, Terry Enright.

  • @neildavidvandenbergh5422

    In my humble opinion he, Frank M., is the most gifted communicator in the history of Alcoholics Anonymous!
    I had the privilege of speaking with him twice on the phone, and he took about 45 minutes with me each time. He really didn't have to do that, but I'll be forever grateful for that, as well as for the thousands of times that the Power of God has ministered to me deeply and effectively through his many talks.
    I also was grateful to have met him in person once back in 2010 at the Lemont Oaks Group in Chicago.
    I just celebrated 14 years of happy, joyous, and contented recovery from alcoholism just this last October of 2022. If you're new, it DOES work if you work it! Get a sponsor that seems to have what you want, (on the inside,) and don't leave before the Miracle happens!
    God Bless you 🙏

  • @kryptichands968
    @kryptichands968 2 ปีที่แล้ว +14

    I thought I could do it alone, I thought I could go to a few meetings a week and not be active, not get a sponsor, not have sober support,,,I did NOT succeed. This is my third time back in AA, I am fortunate to have recieved the gift of acceptance, to be accepted back into a place of non-judgement, a place where I feel comfortable being myself my true self. It works if we put in the work and if we try, and we ask for help when we need it, our disease wants us to think we can do it alone. It is the biggest lie we tell ourselves.

    Thanks Frank, you are one of the many people who have had an influential role in my sobriety. You are so right, my sobriety date is 01/10/1976. I’m living in central Illinois now and I have found a dozen or so people that have been sober 30 plus years. More people don’t make it than do. Usually because they won’t do what it takes occasionally there’s the some that can’t do it. Wally B.

    Bill Wilson warned that AA should NEVER be given over to NON ALCOHOLICS. That is exactly what happened! Why? Because guys like this guy effectively down play the step one qualification! The physical part of this disease is the most important part of the message! That's the glue that keeps the fellowship together.

      Believe me he qualifies. He’s not down playing the step one qualification part. He’s focusing on the the step one 2nd part. My first sponsor when I came back into AA on January 10, 1976, had me spend a year on the first step. Because that’s how long it took me to realize my life was more unmanageable sober than it was when I was drinking.
