As for VF5 Revo, I'm all for it. I am a VF fan myself, and quite honestly, I almost prefer VF over Tekken in many aspects. Perhaps, this is a way to get people back into VF. From what I understand, they are planning on making VF6, which is apparently a reboot of the series with modern graphics, etc. I'm not a graphics person, and I like the "outdated" look. i loved VF4 (especially evolution) and the first VF5 for ps3. Good part is at least if you already have VF5 final showdown, you just get the update free (from what I heard). It's good to play another 3D fighter other than Tekken 8. I'm tired of doing bouncy combos to the wall, and I'm tired of them being done to me haha! Also, they need to bring the Quest mode back. Everyone might not want to play online all the time. (I'm one of those kinds of people). That is what made VF4 and 5 so great. The A.I. were almost as good as human players. I hope that comes back.
fair enough. Though, I feel like Virtua Fighter 6 could’ve easily been the next game. I’m surprised at the lack of a new game because they paved the way for a lotttt of 3D games and Tekken and VF were always rivalling each other.
VF5 REVO is something that could get more people into the series considering it will be released on Steam alongside updating the PS4/PS5 version into REVO. I just hoped that the customization items from R and Final Showdown will be added in. It’s confirmed that they will do a VF6 so REVO is an appetizer for that.
PC fans should be happy about Virtua Fighter 5 Revo and I know Virtua Fighter 6 will be here at the Game Awards. I also want a Virtua live action movie for the 30th of Virtua Fighter.
3:26 The five a bit more discret and on the side compare to VF in big is somehow encouraging actually. I see they want to make you feel VF as a trademark for future projects...
As long as they have the customization items from R and Final Showdown, I’ll be happy. I personally think that Revo is just prepping people for VF6 and I’m really excited about that. I agree that I’m not fond of big companies doing these monopolies, kinda ruins the unique nature and creativity.
Agreed, and from what I understand, VF6 will have a proper story mode because well...VF didn't really have much of a story unless you read the manual back in the day. Perhaps, they will have cutscenes like T8. That would be new and interesting. I'm hyped about it, honestly. I played a little bit of Final Showdown the other day, very few people were on, but even that was surprising. I did not get a chance to play it when it first came out on ps5 because I did not have one. Hopefully because of Revo and 6, Tekken will have competition again.
Roll back netcode wasn't release 18 years ago. The old name for Roll back netcode is called GGPO which was release in 2015. Sega is known for ignoring so many of their IP's. Sega made many good games back in the day that never got a sequel.
Yeah, I’m aware. With that point, I mean, they could’ve implemented rollback years ago. With Ultimate Showdown, the US branch of Sega literally told them to use it before the game’s release, but they didn’t listen until now. They thought: well, the online works well in Japan, so what’s the point? Have to see if that feature will be implemented well as I’ve heard adding that in a 3D game can be difficult, apparently. IDK. Considering the so-called remakes of some of their games, they’ve definitely abandoned a lot of them-even Streets of Rage until a developer looked into creating SOR4. 😬
@fragmentedpixels streets of rage is another story. I remember the fans were making streets of rage remake. Overall Sega made a lot of bad decisions. I remember vanilla VF5 was coming out for Xbox 360 and Sega didn't want to put any online features. We had to beg Sega each time to bring games or bring features to the games. It never ends.

If it comes out on PC at a discounted price I’ll definitely be considering it. VF4 was fun so I’m excited for this

In their defense, you don't make a sequel to Chess, but yes it is time for VF6.

@ Me too, we need more 3D Fighters other than Tekken.
Very interesting - Hope they come correct with Virtua Fighter as 18 years for a new balance patch is crazyyyy
it’s actually 13 years since the last one 😅
@ 13* Correction* Feels like 20 years man 😭
