- So here is a video of how I went about nose chopping my Front bumper on my Evo 8.
Everyone can do it differently, its just how I did it.
I'm not a panel-beater or pray painter, I just learn stuff as I go, so to all keyboard warriors out there.. if your not happy with what u see or have something negative to say, save it for yourself.

The Evo 8 always looked simple and clean that front bumper makes it really good those moustaches and smile make it look appealing like J.Clarkson said the Evo 8 is a mans car!

Great job I really appreciate your work! I like the Evo 8 ever since I've been playing NFS Underground 2 and after I played NFS Carbon I hated the Evo 9 mostly of it's ugly front bumper with those holes instead of 8's smile! The perfect Evo will look like this: it will be an Evo 8 with rear bumper and spoiler from evo 9 with Enkei rpf 1, 5spd manual, 1000+ hp and it will be in metallic color like the darker one from MR edition with blue LED OEM looking heads and tails cheers!

Was considering doing this myself. Was curious to see if fiberglass is a better option than just plastic welding a filler piece in and sanding it smooth?
Brian Roland well put it this way, some people told me it’s never gonna hold, and gonna crack. But it’s been more than a year it’s holding pretty damn good.
I’ve seen plastic weld cracking more...
I think it all comes down to the type of resine ur choosing.

What did you use for the piece to cover the hole?
Evovlogs some special sponge type thing that u can find where u get the resin from or Bunnings !
Was looking into this but want the front emblem as well. Have you done that and if so how did you go about it? Clean finish btw 👍

There is multiple ways to do it, I don’t know what it’s call either, but u can go to the wreckers n ask for a flat piece of bumper of something to replace that missing bit n either plastic weld it, it will work as well

kvncnllt dude I’ve been searching for a 8 bumper for awhile. STM has em, but I can’t justify spending almost 900$ on a bumper lol I’d rather buy go fast parts

200 excluding shipping, good shape just needs paint and just some touching up, 17year old bumper. Nothing crazy of course like dents and stuff

@@kvncnllt If you really don't care what people think, then why bother sharing it on TH-cam? I wasn't being disrespectful of your workmanship as you have done a great job. I realise my comment may have come across blunt in light of your hard work, so I apologise for that. This conversion is often done along with a complete EVO 9 bumper swap & rear bumper which look as good, but not better than the 8 set up......to me obviously.

Steve SAS the only reason I post on TH-cam, is because it may interest someone that want to attempt it himself or see the difference and what can be done, I’m not looking at making money of TH-cam or try to get the most views..
it’s just that I’ve attempted it, someone might want to see it.
