Can't believe I'm following this trip since 46 days... I didn't miss a single day. Thanks for bringing us with you two, it's was really cool to follow this adventure.
I'm really emotionally invested in hand bikes now so we really really need a bunch of videos about a replacement bike for Justin. Since none of us are familiar with the hand bike ordering process, I'd love to see all the little details.
I helped a friend 20+ years ago build one while his hip was failing so he could exercise once they were both replaced. When finished we went for a ride together on his old & new hand bike. I was in my late 20s & in the best shape of my life, but that 65 year old man kicked my ass! Much respect to anyone who can make one of those things really move, much less 3000+ miles! I've wanted one to this day but as usual $$$ stands in my way!
Still laughing at Justin's "we're going to go at our speed, so if you can't keep up, **** off". Sucks to be stuck in northern Germany, cold, windy, rainy weather, would've loved to ride with you in sunny weather. I hope everyone riding will have a blast.
The his was my favorite episode of the series because of the surprise guests! Having Katie there came out of nowhere. I lost it hearing “Katie in 2 bikes one wheel chair”
Great friends! You guys are amazing. In 2019, a friend and I rode St. Augustine FL to San Diego, CA taking 60 days including days off. Well, we were a little older, 75 y.o. But that shouldn’t matter.
Thank you for being lovely ambassadors of the sport of cycling, highlighting the kindness of strangers, and being incredible men who are willing to suffer to benefit others! Good on you!
Rockstars Justin and Francis joined by ROCKSTAR Katie Kookaburra. What a treat! You guys are amazing. I hope Justin’s bike makes it the final two days 🙏🏻
Congrats, Lou on being cleared to walk! You're looking great on your feet! Best wishes on continued recovery. I hope the soft tissue damage report comes back favorable!
I'm watching this on the 28th, I am SO jealous for all the riders that are riding with you guys on the 29th. I would freaking love to be there!!! Also I love Justin's final statement about the speed xDDD
Younger me would’ve called off work to join you guys on the last day. Thanks for letting us follow you guys on the great journey. Been following since day 1 and it’s looked like so much fun!
Katie! How cool, she also has a great TH-cam channel. Love following along with this series, and I so respect you managing to put out a video every day, Francis. I gave up after a couple of days on my Rhine trip, it was too hard and I wasn't very good at it.
Man, the end is getting real now, with your mates starting to show up :) Your friends are great, so happy you got to ride in good company for a bit. I hope justin's bike lasts at least through today! I figure in a pinch you guys could make something work for that final day. Very, very cool that you guys will have a group ride for your last day. Sure wish I could join you! I hope the other viewers that can will post about their experience after the ride!
@@DC-lu5qs Yes! Excited and relieved! No I won’t be 😔 unfortunately I’m not up to travelling at the moment. My hubby Andy is flying out tomorrow morning, originally a surprise but Francis now knows. I’m sure many of the subscribers will be filming their experiences of the group ride finale. Btw what is your name? x
@@lizziecade1902 That's amazing that Andy can go! I'm sorry you can't - I meant it mostly in jest as I know it's a pretty major undertaking to fly halfway around the world. That would have been a fun surprise, but I am sure it's difficult to keep something like that completely secret. I'm looking forward to seeing the finale. My name is Dan, but I'm not the pilot guy from a couple of episodes back :)

Yes It happened! Katie made it!! It was great to see it!! You guys have gone so far, broken so many challenges. Really amazing. Definitely ending 2022 on the right foot.
y'all are beasts. i just did 50 miles today and now can't even comprehend getting on a bike tomorrow. meeting you at the finish may be the best i can muster. i'm really going to miss this series but imagine you're ready to get back home.
Followed Katie ages ago, so nice to see y'all together! Loving this. Donated already but tempted to again, have so enjoyed seeing your journey. Family has loved it too!
You guys definitely have someone watching over you. Huge congrats on the ride & have a great final day tomorrow. Also a huge thumbs up 👍 for all of the folks who joined & helped you during the ride. You are all heroes.👍🙂👍
Wow, it is as if time was speeding up near the end of the trip, nice to see Katie appear here, what a surprise! And yes, she's one of my other earliest cycling channel subscriptions
MAN, I wish I was in LA ! If only for the chance to join up with you guys for the finish - what a great cause guys and an amazing effort. You've already won !!
Hey Francis! Not sure if you've considered it already but it would be fascinating to see a before/after shot of the both of you guys once you've finished. 50-odd days straight of hard riding must have had a big impact on both of you physically and it's probably be pretty amazing to see how much fitter it's made you guys! Best of luck for the last push. You're on the home straight now gents!
All the best guys. I don't know what to do now that I can't look forward to your daily uploads. Your videos always made me smile every night (its usually 9pm where i am when it goes up) and always makes my day. Hope that last ride is a blast for everyone that makes it!
You two are just awesome, I really gonna miss this adventure. Great to see your fellow tubers recognition for your super human effort, hope you get thousand’s out on your last day, truly epic series, really well filmed and edited Francis. Justin is just awesome guy, much respect to you all.
Two youtuber bikers who live in biking heavens, meet in biking hell. It's like the biking version of A Squash and A Squeeze - you'll love it back here when you get home. Looks like you had an epic adventure. Congrats on the ride and the fund raising.
Congrats on completing the ride tomorrow and I wish I could join you. I truly enjoyed these videos and commend you on raising over 100k for Get Kids Going! Outstanding job Francis and Justin!
After watching this series, I feel there’s a niche out there for a “touring handbike”. Quality steel frame, better ground clearance to handle some rougher roads, 700x40 tires to iron out the bumps, maybe some full-wrap fenders to keep the road schmutz out of Justin’s face. Throw some super low gears on there, so you can slog up any climb with the extra weight. The weak link in this equation is the machine, not the man! A “high speed” towable wheelchair would also be essential. Put some sort of luggage storage in there, and you’ve got a self-supported setup.
Wish I wasn’t in Europe right now to accompany you two on your last stretch! Hope that a lot of people will turn up! Thanks for taking us along on this epic ride!
I'm all the way back in Texas but, I'll be making my longest ride ever (75km+) on Thursday. It'll be nice to know y'all are finishing this awesome journey as I'm starting my own. Cheers y'all.
Not ready for this series to end! Thanks for making all these videos and bringing us along on the journey, wish I could make it to LA for the last stretch!
Fingers crossed Justin's bike holds up for the last two rides, been absolutely amazing trip. Support vehicle and if by magic ta-dah Lou, Rob and Katie appear. Though for the full 2 bikes 1 wheelchair experience should off got Katie to tow Justin.🤣
Im so jealous of everyone that’s gonna ride with you on the last day. You should do a meet-up in Richmond Park next time you’re both in London so that we can ride together and see what it feels like to have a slow rider next to you! 😂have fun during the next few days, can’t wait to watch it all🥳
These have been brilliant, I'm delighted for you but gutted it's nearly over.

Whenever I end a holiday trip I usually get this post-holiday blues in really low spirits... I wonder what it will be like for you, guys, going back to "normal" life after 40 something days of your cycling routine. Looking forward to your last day and to the rest of your cycling adventures. All the best!
So sad! You guys passed through my city of moreno valley! Hopefully I can make it to your guy’s last ride. Great job boys, massive effort and journey to get here. Cheers boys
Your last day is literally in my back yard. Unfortunately, I'm out of town and can't join you...bummer! I've totally enjoyed watching the series and have watched daily. Good luck on the rest of your journey! Looking forward to more amazing content like this! Happy New Year!
I have a hard enough time climbing on 2 wheels, my lungs are rubbish I guess. My HR JUMPS so high I hit zone 5 on a regular basis. I made the mistake of photographing my apple watch while it was showing zone 5, RED as all get out. I took an immediate dressing down from the missus, and..well, chilled a bit. If your bikes are made of metal, then you can carry a tube of JB Weld (basically epoxy with metal in it) and get your bikes running if someone can't get to you. It's available everywhere in the US; super common. On another note: I design accessibility devices (I am disabled) and if the hand bike was convertible to a more upright mode, then you can carry more tubes and different seats for use modes (road seat for road, upright seat for dining) which can break down into small light components easily carried. Also with the right cowling, the hand bike could produce a large draft to essentially pull a vacuum behind it. In my case, I'm designing for a "rowing" type motion (more velocipede like) so I can integrate control and power into the same set of intuitive controls as well as better ergo all around for the motion needed for continuous propulsion. Improved IGH (in gear hubs) and belt drive will have the hand bike setting the pace; become the hare and run wild while pulling everyone along in your draft, become more than enabled
