Another cracking video. Could you do a vid on rig building the 3 hook flapper along with which knots you prefer to use and length of hook length and actual size of the overall rig.
Great video guys and a good catch rate to boot. What’s your secret to hooking the fish in the mouth, I see so many videos and anglers where the fish is damaged by gut hooking and people trying poorly to unhook them.
Hi Steve, thanks for the comment. Good question! I use long thin strips of bait, and typically have the hook about 1/2 to 2/3 of the strip hanging below the hook. The way that flatfish tend to pick baits up, they will often chew these up, and spit them out before getting a hookset. If I were to have my hook at the bottom of the strip neigh on every fish would be gut hooked. This helps avoid that, as they typically find the hook only once they have taken the bait down a little.
Another great video Liam 👍 nice to see a bit of scratching the fun can easily be lost chasing monsters
Another great video! Really enjoy your content. I do enjoy flattie fishing 👍 . Take care guys.
Great video. I've mainly had flounders from that mark, not seen so many dabs from there before.
