Hi GunScott, that's correct. Our Grand Vitara comes in three GLX variants - The 5-speed manual, the 4-speed auto, and the top-of-the-line hybrid AllGrip GLX is a 6-speed automatic transmission.
@@SuzukiAutoSA Wow cool to here... Also Id like to know if the autos are standard auto trans(vvt) or continues variable trans(cvt) or computerized autos (ags)
Hi GunScott, our Grand Vitara's engine is a conventional Automatic known as a Torque Convertor. Please feel free to reach out to your nearest dealer for further assistance or to book a test drive. Let us know if you need help getting in touch?

@@SuzukiAutoSA honestly you’ve made the best Suv ever. The top spec hybrid is cheaper than the terrible Kia Seltos and your Vitara has more spec. I’ve been advising people to buy grand Vitaras 😊
Hi Michael, our 1.5 litre engine is actually one of the most popular variants in South Africa with at least 4000 units using the same engine being sold every month. With Suzuki affordability doesn’t come at the expense of performance, safety or features, and we'd love you to experience our Grand Vitara to see why. Feel free to book a test drive at your nearest dealer and #LiveTheLegacy of our flagship reinvented: www.suzukiauto.co.za/cars/grand-vitara
@@SuzukiAutoSA thanks for the reply. I can understand the 1,5l being popular in the smaller base models but this is a larger flagship product and as such deserves an engine that matches that criteria. It's a beautiful looking and thought out vehicle but at this price point the 5 speed gear and auto don't cut it. The Kia's 1,5 l with 85kw simply bows it away. Suzuki s torque is also horribly low. All this at reef altitude where I live is going to make me look elsewhere. Don't get me wrong, I love Suzuki but not this combo

Top of the line version (glx) only comes with the 6 speed right?

Why this wheezing underpowered engine? Torque is a joke. Suzuki has a 1 l turbo and a 14 l turbo that would be perfect.
