- In the second episode of the off-roading tutorial, we will demonstrate the off-roading capabilities of the Grand Vitara equipped with All-Wheel Drive. The Grand Vitara has multiple driving modes -- Auto mode for efficiency, Snow mode for snowy/slushy driving, Sport mode for having some fun, and Lock mode for serious off-roading. Editor Sirish Chandran gives driving tips on maintaining momentum, using Hill Hold Assist, maintaining good visibility, and being gentle with the vehicle to avoid damage.

GV is slowly but steadily picking up the pace in the segment..Even without a diesel option it sells around 10000 plus unit every month.Clearly shows Maruti has done the right decision in bringing Hybrid into the game..
Maruti Suzuki seem to have a working strategy. Plus hybrid offers similar FE as diesel.

Same kind of video i was searching for. Great. Hope you would try in snow also. I live in Arunachal pradesh where we see snow fall and the roads are very tough. We have to carry rope or snow chain with lord alto. I was thinking to upgrade to GRAND VITARA AWD and was bit confused with its AWD system. Thanks

Just bought a Grand Vitara automatic mild hybrid and I am quite happy with it. Now a question since it is an AWD system that you showed I presume it has a center differential. Am I correct?
Hey, congratulations on the new car!
The Grand Vitara doesn't have a central diff. It uses clutch packs to transfer torque to rear axle.

If it can get the Grand Vitara up that gradient, its definitely not underpowered!
when i do lock mode on rough and gravel surface, i feel the suspension works better than 2 wd in grand vitara. Is it psychological or it does it really happen
It doesn't affect the suspension.
this AWD is a 4 cylinder motor unlike the 3 cylinder found on the hybrid and mild hybrid but will this AWD version give 8 to 9 kmpl in city or less than that and yes AWD versions are prone to tire wear out faster is it true......nice work....👍

Why AWD is not available in Auto gear box ?
Could be a lot of reasons which only Maruti Suzuki know.
The architecture of Grand Vitara is similar to Jeep Compass and Meridian except for diesel and automatic with low gear. I want see a comparison video.

Emotion/status > value for many/ practical
No wonder we don't have a proper sport car under 50L
Ours is a very price sensitive market. People look at what offers them more utility.
FWD is better for offroad , especially in muddy road, where we can steer where we want

Fwd are cheaper to maintain and fuel efficient. But in offroad, it's chances of getting out of there is less.
