There are a lot of people that probably didn't consider one BIG aspect: ecu tuning. There car as no tuning at all, the ecu can adjust afr and timing but it's limited. 10whp (which means even more gain at the flywheel) may not seems a lot, but with headers and a tune the end result could be pretty savage compared to this baseline. A Z car can be expensive to tune but, imho, is still worth.
Life made me understand mod cars it's a waste of time and money but to stay real those mods are pretty cool just for a better feeling and flow while driving. For more power bolts-on is not the answer. Turbo kit is the real deal 😩
Honest question. Without a tune what could you possibly gain from replacing the MAF? I would imagine theyre metered to work with a stock tune. I havent researched aftermarket MAF so definitely not an expert

For anyone in the comments: The total price of the mods in this video are $1,177.99, as of the time of this comment. A 10WHP gain for over $1k is not a good trade deal, but guess what? Thats because VQ's suck. Z1 Motorsports sells turbochargers aswell, go get one. Or maybe get a different car.
I would beg to differ in my opinion this car is missing a tune and catback, ill say catback / tune / intakes / ported plenum it will likely get over 300WHP for a HR thats pretty good a VHR or 370z is able to go from around 285-290 stock wheel to around 345 350 with similar mods and only around 3000 spent in total i promise you wont be getting a turbocharger / supercharger kit FOR ANY 350/370 for any less than 5 grand, and if you spent 5 grand youll be getting a kit with no injectors / fuel pump / tune and potentially other missing parts, if you cant afford to throw down 7-8K for a good topgunz / soho kit then you might as well not even boost it imo
this also isnt opinion ive owned 3 z cars currently sold my 370z to get a Q50 and even though the Q50 can just be tuned to make over 450 wheel torque its a seriously boring vehicle and insanely dull i dont believe ive ever owned anything worse tbh and i came from the perspective of Isaac "ill just buy a better tuner car" so i did, i bought a V6 TT and its honestly insanely dull and boring if youre looking for fun i suggest not buying a sports saloon car 100%
I would love to know what benefits there are to swaping to ported VHR upper/lower manifolds on an HR vs ported HR manifoldds. I have an 08 G35 6mt. I probably wouldnt be able to get a core refund for sending in my HR manifolds for the VHR manifolds.

I started with big brake kit on my 350z. Doing high flow cats and exhaust now. Hopefully ill get it built and boosted someday :P

ouch, truth hurts lol. Think the total cost to get my DE past 300 whp was like 5k, including cams and sending heads to machine shop.
