  • We are taking a DE and HR 350Z and throwing as many bolt-on Z1 parts as possible on them and strapping them down on the dyno every step of the way. In this episode, we're installing a Z1 Touring Exhaust. Be sure to head to Z1Motorsports.com for all your Nissan/Infiniti needs!

    I can't wait to see a brake cooling kit developed for this car

    Considering the cost, the system should come with tig welded V-band clamps instead of compression fittings. I can't stand compression fittings. To anyone buying this exhaust: Compression fittings are only good for 1 time use. If you ever have to take the exhaust off the car, you will need to purchase new compression fittings. I bought an exhaust that used compression fittings from Buschur Racing back in 2007 for my Evo9 and I had to take the exhaust off to perform a service. I reassembled the exhaust using the original compression fittings, and the exhaust held together for about a day, then my exhaust came apart while I was driving. I took the car to an exhaust shop and had it welded together, which is really the best option.

      101k unmodified, now 4 months later I’ve got the 2.5 z1 intakes, z1 race single exit, z1 premium y pipe, ported vhr upper lower, resonated test pipe. These mods woke the car up with a tune 320whp on a 90degree day

    In one of the previous episodes you were going to do gallery gaskets for the HR? Would be interested to see an episode on that!

    I want to see a comparison of the dyno graphs, not just how the car did on the dyno after the install. The numbers you show do not give context to people who don't know math, which is most people. The numbers given at 19:19 do not show before and after results, they just show HP and Torque after the install at specific points in the RPM range. What I find most disturbing is that the daily driver is not going to be hitting 5000+ RPM driving around town, so how does the layman know if power is lost at low RPM? Also, for the uninitiated, pretty much all dyno's read differently. It would be very easy to show a 10 HP gain if the tests were done on different dyno's or if the dyno was recalibrated between runs, or if the people doing the actual testing did not follow a scientific method whereby all initial conditions such as ambient temp, engine temp, coolant temp, etc. are matched as closely as possible between runs before and after the install. Not only should these initial conditions be matched, they should be documented somehow, preferably with a video. The exhaust does look and sound really nice, so you get points for that.

      @DarkMan2555 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I'm curious about this too. I'm sure there would be more losses due to the AWD system and having to turn 4 wheels instead of just 2.

    Man. I got the same questions. I have the z1 high flow cats, z1 y pipe and the nismo type s exhaust. I added the hight flow cats last and now the car sounds like crap. I’m really interested in the z1 touring.

    Hi Z1 Motorsports,
    Do you sale the tip exhaust individually?

    Here's my question: I have a 2003 G35 Coupe with the STILLEN Supercharger with the STILLEN cat back exhaust. The SC requires back pressure. I like the look of this Z1 Touring Exhaust better. Would this be more free flowing (less back pressure - which is not good in my case) swapping from the STILLEN dual cat back to this single or would it have more back pressure (which would NOT hurt my power)? Thank you! I LOVE Z1!!

    • @Z1Motorsports23
      @Z1Motorsports23  ปีที่แล้ว

      We have found great success on SC cars using the Touring system! We have tested on DE, HR and VHR applications, We don't feel this is a point of restriction and it sounds fantastic.

    • @cbaacworth2849
      @cbaacworth2849 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Z1Motorsports23 Maybe I didn't pose my question correctly. With certain SC's you need back pressure. Turbos are the opposite. I need some back pressure. Will this be too "free flowing" - I need some restriction with the STILLEN SC (back pressure). I currently have the STILLEN cat back true dual and hoping this will actually add alittle restriction? Does my question make sense? Sorry if I'm not putting it in the correct terms...

      i am torn between 3 exhausts and i need to put an order in TOMORROW. I have a completely cracked stock midpipe where it meets the stock rear muffler on my vq35hr. Either ISR Dual (love the curved tips and deep sound + price point), Z1 Touring, or Tenabe Medallion w/ z1 Modular res. Y-Pipe.....😩😩
