I know it sounds mean but my dear god allmighty, it drives me nuts that some people read but don't REALLY read the tutorial tips. Like, it's there! Right there!
I think it’s cause Nojima and the crew said to play Crisis Core Reunion before Rebirth. I think only because you know who is a pretty prominent character in the story of Rebirth kinda
They probably said that to boost sales and/or recommended it those already kinda familiar with the story. Brand new players would undoubtedly have a huge plot twist spoiled.
@@Step43099 Doesn't matter what they say. Crisis Core spoils one of the biggest mysteries in the whole game and confuses A LOT of people upon entry. IT takes you to locations where you wouldn't get it or appreciate IF you didn't play Rebirth or the original game.
@@Step43099 They said that to boost sales and people are gullible, including myself. I played Crisis Core after Remake and before Rebirth, and while I still had a fantastic experience, it still spoils reveals that are intended for Part 3. Crisis Core is supposed to be played AFTER the OG, or after Part 3 comes out. Not in-between.
I swear I'm going to start linking people to the interview where all of the producers said that it was intended to be played because they're not going to explain some of the things in part 3 that get explained in crisis core I wish people would stop telling every new player not to do this because they are going to be so confused and part 3 when it comes out and things aren't explained and they're going to be like oh why is this like this and if they would have gone and played it in the order that they are supposed to they would understand it. Everyone telling new players not to do this is ruining their experience for part 3. Yeah it was meant to be played after the original final fantasy VII but for the remake series it's not going to make any sense when they get to part 3 if they don't play reunion crisis core
@@krscartwright4951 They also said it's fine to play Rebirth without playing Remake first, which is completely ridiculous. Them saying they're not going to explain _everything_ doesn't mean they'll toss out the literal core of the plot for Part 3.
@@krscartwright4951 Literally NOTHING happens in the narrative of the core FF7 that requires you to have played Crisis Core to understand. FF7’s core story existed a decade plus on its own, and it stands as a complete story on its own. CC adds things after the fact, in hindsight, but is in no way essential to understanding FF7 on its own-this is true for the original, and will remain true for the Remake trilogy. Any mystery that remains by the end of Rebirth is meant to be a mystery at that point in the story. CC is extra fan service for people who want it, but is in no way necessary for a person to understand FF7 itself.
Let’s go! Another blind Final Fantasy playthrough. They’re really addicting to watch haha. Love seeing newcomers reactions to any of the Final Fantasy games.
Never waste a chance to use your abilities. They are free. Spells cost MP. Every character has unique abilities and when you play more you’ll understand when to use them. Focus thrust builds the stagger bar. Braver is a great finishing move once staggered.
Very glad to see you join the VII series. I'd recommend holding off on playing Crisis Core. Just focus on getting a PS5 so you can get the Intermission DLC and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. Whenever an enemy is pressured, make sure you use Cloud's Focused Thrust or Barret's Focused Shot and it will very quickly increase the stagger bar.
So a few things to keep in mind that will help you. FF7 Remake is an RPG and very much still has a strong turn based aspect to it. However, in this game, you are allowed to take actions between your turns (like move around and attack). Trying to play it like a hack and slash will make for a very painful experience. You get to use your turn once you fill an atb guage. ATB actions are the game changers of battle, usually in the form of powerful abilities (which you avoided like the plague haha), magical spells, or items. Every character has their own unique abilities. Cloud, for example, starts with Braver and Focused Thrust. Braver (arguably Clouds best ability in the whole game) is a massive damage dealer, and would have helped you immensely on the scorpion boss fight. Focused Thrust is an ability specifically used best when you put an enemy in the 'pressured' state. Focused Thust, unlike Braver, is not a high damage dealer, but it DOES raise the enemies Pressure bar a great deal, which in turn will lead to staggering the enemy. Once an enemy is staggered, they are defenseless and take extra damage. This is the perfect time to blast them with your most powerful abilities from your party. So the takeaway here is used Braver to deal major damage, then use Focused Thrust when thr enemy is pressured, then go all out when the enemy is staggered (Braver becomes even more powerful against a staggered foe). Different abilities are best used in different scenarios, so read their description to see what they do and play around (when in doubt though, just use Braver lol...there's never really a bad time to use it). Magic comes in all forms of elemental types. Fire, wind, lighting, ice, etc. While spells are generally effective in any situation, most enemy types have a very specific elemental weakness, and if you exploit that weakness, you will do extra damage. For example, using lightning against robotic enemies or fire against human enemies will deal extra damage because that is what they are weak to. Eventually, you will get an ability to let you assess enemies and discover their weaknesses. So, to sum everything up, FF7 is still contains a large turn based aspect to it and you have to take advantage of those turns. Fight as one character, fill an atb Guage, expend that atb Guage using an ability/spell/item/limit break, etc, then switch to another character, build their atb, and rinse and repeat the whole process. Have fun!
Thank you SO much for being nice and taking the time to type this out! So I'm understanding that the main issue I avoided the ATB, which was a big no-no, haha. I might not get it the next time, but I'll do my best! This helps so much since turn-based is so new for me! So far, on my notes, I have to look at the ATB and use that when enemies are under pressure. I hope I got that right!
@@iamkataclysm when you have your ATB charge ready, you can always use it anytime, not just when they pressured. but at pressured enemy some certain abilities or magic needed to use so it fills their staggers gauge quicker. but just have fun and tweak it yourself, it's fun to see new player adapt into the system. see ya
@iamkataclysm yup, just like the other commenter said, ALWAYS use your atb. If you are letting it sit there idle you aren't going to be able to take advantage of your characters full power which in turn will lead to super long drawn out fights where you take a lot of damage. Depending on the situation, you will want to just use different atb commands. If you are fighting a group of enemies, you may want to use Clouds Triple Slice (you will learn it soon) since it hits multiple enemies. If you wanna do big damage to a single target, you may want to opt for Braver. If the enemy is pressured (it will say the word 'pressured' under their health bar) you will want to use Clouds Focused Thrust ability, if you are fighting humans you opt to use fire magic etc etc. You'll get the hang of it as you go on.
@@iamkataclysm Correct. For the next part there will be more of the shock troopers that took Cloud down. So for them, keep him in Punisher mode, he goes into the guard stance, and auto blocks their attacks. When you block them, they get stunned, and open to attack. The ATB abilities are where it says Tactical mode. So for hard enemies to take down, pressure them with focused thrust, stagger, and then Braver. It will take some getting used to switching characters, but gets you more invested in learning their abilities. Certain weapons give certain abilities that you will need. NEVER pass up on purple chests, those are your weapons for your characters. Take your time looking for chests, and materia (magic). You can get most free, so don't buy a lot of the materia from shops.
Important tip that is introduced early in Chapter 1 but often forgotten due to the amount of mechanics you need to learn early on is the fact that Cloud automatically counters melee attacks if hit while blocking in Punisher Mode. No parrying required. Its an important skill for defeating an increasing number of enemies and bosses as the game progresses.
I love newcomers to the franchise! Final Fantasy is such an amazing experience im sure youll probably get hooked! Spoiler free (If you care to read) I want to point some things about the battle system, since this is unlike most games. (prepare for some serious micromanaging lmao) I would describe Final Fantasy 7 battles as tactical and action oriented. Meaning yeah you can spam the attack button, but you wont get too far with that. So here is some tips. 1. ATB is your best friend. ATB is those blue bars underneath your hit points. You need ATB to perform actions (Abilities, Magic and Items). There is 2 ways to fill the ATB gauge. Time (takes forever) and attacking. You'll hear a beep when a bar is full, you can notice the bars shine blue when they're full as well. So why do you want ATB? to perform ABILITIES and MAGIC! That is where the good damage will come from. You will also need it to HEAL. You cant heal if you don't have ATB. Thus, build up ATB and use it, since the more you attack the more ATB you'll get. 2. This is an action game but its more tactical than it is a hack and slash. You will attack to build ATB and you have ATB to use special abilities, just attacking wont do much. You have your attacks, as well as unique abilities, weapon abilities, magic and items! a lot to keep track of at first lol but you'll get used to it. Most of these do not require MP (besides magic) so use them as often as you'd like in battle. ATB will reset at the end of the battle so there is no point in saving it. 3. managing characters can get tricky, but try to keep them busy. Sticking to one character is fine (for the most part) but you'll want to maximize everyone's time during battle and what they are doing. If you don't want to manually direct them you can just issue orders. That's possible by pressing L2 and R2. It will take some time but you'll get the hang of it. Final fantasy is an amazing experience! I hope you enjoy it and cant wait for the next vids.
This is so helpful! I care about reading all of your suggestions! Thank you so much! Yeah, someone pointed out not to treat it like a hack-and-slash, so that I will keep that in mind! I don't mind tips because lawd knows I need it! 😂 I also want to experience the game how it's meant to be experienced, so this helps me more than you know
The tip I can give you is stay beside or behind your enemies when fighting. Good luck lovely . . . And dodging. Especially with Barrett 👍. Don't forget "Cloud can fight in the air, just keep swinging 👍. Btw the story is awesome.
Always good to see a new playthrough of FF7. Dont worry about being an overlord, the combat system is mega dense and you will still be discovering new things even after finishing the games. My tip for now is: never panic during battles, and pay attention to the UI. Everything you can do is showing up somewhere on screen (with very small letters), and everything has a meaning. And I see some nonsense discussion about Crisis Core... that is mostly overcooked info from old fans. As the name says, this is a "Remake" of the series. It is planned to be a trilogy, and there are 2 parts released until now: Remake and Rebirth. Crisis Core is some spinoff of the original game, and contains major spoilers about things that were left unanswered in Rebirth. one last thing: I see you like reading all comments. Beware of spoilers. some people just cant control their fingers 😅
“Never panic during battles.” Oh, man! That's a struggle for me! 😅 but I think after a while, I'll calm down! After the first few plays, it'll be messy, haha! Oh yeah! I'm super thankful for all the new peeps! I have help with my mod, who reads them before I do! I'm super grateful for that! Thank you for watching and taking the time to write that tip! I'll keep in mind! 🙏🏼
Ahhhhhh, the memories of this game in 1997. I don't even know where to start lol. Actually, yes I do. I'll start by thanking you Kat, sincerely, for playing the remake of this game. Not only is Final Fantasy 7 my favorite Final Fantasy game, but it is hands down my favorite game of all time. And once I heard you comment about playing the remake on this youtube channel, I was super excited! And this beginning video did not disappoint at all! I mean it. There are multiple ways to play RPGS, don't listen or pay any attention if someone tells you are doing it wrong. As long as the end result is the same, it doesn't matter how you get there. I absolutely adore seeing the iconic scenes from the OG (the playground, the upshot of Cloud infront of the reactor) , the music still to this day cannot be matched. Uematsu is a musical legend! I also like to see that they kept the humor in the remake. I feel like people tend to forget that Cloud had his funny moments lol. I chuckled when Barret pushed Cloud out of the way, just to walk right past him lol. Seeing Jesse take an interest in Cloud is new, and welcoming. At first, I was a little skeptical, because the company said that the remake was going to be multiple games, but then I realized, that may not be a bad thing. The technology is far more advanced than it was 20+ years ago, and if it means that we get to see, and read, and experience things that weren't able to put into the original game, then that's a good thing. Apologies for taking up so much space and time with this long ass message lol I'm just a gigantic Final Fantasy nerd, and it's 100 times better because an actual friend is now playing it. Not just a random person that I watch a lets play of. But, I hope that you did enjoy the first chapter, and getting past that first boss fight! Can't wait to watch part 2
The shock troopers can be taken out easily by blocking with Cloud, he will auto guard in punisher. That way you will stun the shock trooper and then attack. Those were the ones giving you trouble where Cloud died at the end. Also got to use Braver and focused abilities to build up pressure on enemies like the Sweeper and the Scorpion boss. Thankfully, there's only one scorpion boss. You definitely didn't need 30 minutes. I counted- even your blind playthrough got to the end in 7 minutes. You get a better reward for doing it in 20 minutes. You can always re-do the chapter. All enemies in this one have certain element weakness- human or trooper enemies are weak to fire. Mechanical enemies like sweepers are weak to thunder. Flying enemies weak to wind. And most of the game monsters are weak to blizzard. So keep that in mind when setting up materia. And Assess EVERY thing once you get the materia for it from Chadley.
Plenty of people commented on that and have that on my list lol I welcomed tips and tricks so no I don't mind. It's my first time so it's all new to me.
You can use cure spell to heal , instead of using potions. Also would suggest getting use to blocking, it’s always hard to remember when you first start playing.
@@iamkataclysm it’s R1, I believe it reduces 50% of the damage. Great in Boss fights when you figure out their timing. Like the missiles in ch1 boss fight.
I'd heavily suggest you to start with the original FFVII, then go into Crisis Core prequel, then watch Advent Children Complete movie and only then go into Remake and Rebirth after. I cannot explain why without getting into spoilers. But playing the original first is for sure the best way to experience the story. Although some people may have a hard time because of how old the OG game is. But yeah, I wouldn't say Remake is the best place to start and I cannot really talk about it 'cause I'm afraid I may spoil you! But OG FFVII and then Crisis Core are a must before Remake. Advent Children Complete is an amazing bonus to help you understand some cool things!
Nice combat skills for a new FF player, using Deadly Dodge + HP or MP Absorb Materia's on cloud will boost his attack power greatly also Recovers HP or MP when unleashing an attack will save you from loosing hard battles.
Aw I wish I'd seen this sooner! The TH-cam algorithm sucks. I never get tired of watching people take their first dive into Final Fantasy, especially VII.
I would say don't play crisis core unless you want major spoilers, other than that looking forward to you playing this amazing game and hopefully rebirth!
I don’t think spoilers are a huge issue with this game sense this is not an original concept of the game. It’s even more confusing than the OG so a game like crisis core. Explaining shit is A good thing
@@brieezy. I think part 3 will reveal Cloud’s full character arc much more powerfully than Crisis Core did, which is why it’s worth waiting for someone whose only exposure is the remakes.
I sure hope it does specially, if this is gonna be the last installment ever. so I’m sure as long as the OG Dev are around. There’s always potential for more FF7 content. I don’t think CC did a terrible job explaining there’s not really much explaining to do
@@brieezy. Since it is the same creative team from the OG it’s probably fair to trust in them on delivering on the finale, especially given how good Remake and Rebirth have been. Also I don’t think CC did anything terribly either, just that this series elevates the characters and their meaningful moments to another level from the previous games.
I pretty much love final fantasy, barely have the time to play games anymore but I always have the time for final fantasy. It was so unexpected to me, how good games could get, storyline wise. Works of art the vast majority of the series. Enjoy your playthrough 😊
Hi. When thinking of materia to level up ( they earn experience when taken into battle) there are two concepts I like to keep in mind. One, materia that does not use mp, ( spells), being the top priority, and two, materia that increases stats when equipped except for Refocus materia. Improve materia any time and you improve their capabilities. For example, Healing Materia when improved by a level would let cast Cure or Cura, ( press left or right on the directional pad when hovering over the corresponding spell).
Don’t get me wrong I love Rebirth, but there is something special about this game. It was a dream come true for so many longtime fans. I remember sitting and playing it with my cousin when it first came out in the late 90’s, sadly I never finished it thanks to disc 2 being broken. Anyway just seeing all the characters come together for the first time, in glorious detail, with fully realized worlds, was special. And Midgar is such an iconic location.
Hey Kat, so happy to see you finally diving into a Final Fantasy game, really hope you enjoy your time with it and have a blast! Also please don't worry because you're doing great so far, the Scorpion Sentinel is a very tanky/spongy enemy especially for a first boss so it's normal for it to take a while to defeat! Keep up the cozy content and keep being you! Much love! ❤
The limit attack you unlock at the end only happen when you fill the yellow bar : it get refill when you attack ,sttagered an ennemy, take damage or use your abilities, each character have their own limit
Most side quests are an intrical part of the story and some cant be completed once a certain area is left so showing them would be easier@@iamkataclysm
Every character has a "focused" ability to build pressure with harder enemies. Cloud has focused thrust. Barret has focused shot, and Tifa has focused strike. Keep that in mind, and you will easily take down the next Scorpion type boss. That's what they wanted you to do, is use those abilities, to stagger the boss, and do more damage once staggered. Stagger doesn't last long so make it count.
and just one more thing, your characters can heal each other and not just themselves. You are doing great for this to be your first experience, I really hope you enjoy this game.
1:01:50 . Huge twist. Got them on camera then blew it up themselves to make believe that it was Avalanche's fault. When you go back and look at it. Jessie's bomb did nothing.🤗
You cannot heal or use any abilities because you need to to fill you ATB bars by attacking. Abilities are cloud spécial attacks ,in the beginning you have two of them which are powerful, you can use them as much as you want if you fill at least one atb bar . Then you have Spells where you can heal , use magic like fire ,thunder .... But they depend on the MP bar ( the little violet bar next to your life ) they can be refilled by using ether ( items)
I too never played FF7 and only played a little bit of the Remake a few weeks ago so I'm glad I can watch this for a bit ☺ Love seeing your playthroughs Kat ♥
Small suggestion: Be wary of comments. Not just for spoilers, but for back-seating. Some folks in the FF7 community can be quite "persistent" in trying to push folks to play a certain way. Just do whatever feels right for you! :)
I have the Special Edition for "PS5. Bri (STRG) and Maximilian Dood got me into it. It was my first FF game as well. I really love the characters and the game. Excited to see you playing this. 🌟👍
Do NOT… i repeat… DO NOT play Crisis Core before completing the story of FF7. Crisis Core is a prequel to FF7 OG and Crisis Core came out years later after OG FF7. So if you dont want to know anything about the story and go in blind, id say play FF7 remake, then FF 7 Rebirth, Then FF7 OG, and then Crisis Core. Get ready for one of the BEST games of all time. 👏🏼⭐️
Haha also gurl, I’m sure others mentioned this but you need to use Abilities and switch out your characters. Your ATB gauge is at the bottom right and it fills out by performing Basic Attacks (hitting square). Each character has 2 ATB gauges each. The Abilities (opening the Command Menu hitting “X”) is where you cause the most damage and build up “pressure” and eventually “Stagger” the enemy. Stagger is basically when the enemy is paralyzed for a few seconds. You want to switch characters constantly during battles to do the most damage and kick the most ass. You’ll get the hang of it as you keep playing… hopefully. 🎉
Great to see you jumping on. Hope you enjoy the experience. As far as which games to play, in my opinion, I think, after you finish Remake, you should play the OG FF7 game, Then play Crisis Core, Then play Rebirth. That's my advice.
@@iamkataclysm while many people who played remake when it came out did play the og in the wait for rebirth, and the games have many little references that can be picked out by the og players, there is a unique experience in discovering the story line solely through the new games before playing the og, I think. Of course, that would require you to wait for part 3, but it'd also give these games replay value since you'd be able to experience a new perspective on them after playing the og. In the end, it's up to you. It's fortunate that you know nothing about the story. Hope you have fun with it!
A no-wipe, ~12 minute kill is not bad at all for your very first Final Fantasy boss fight! Be prepared for some epic 20-30 minute battles as you progress 😁 Very enjoyable start - looking forward to more!
OK, well this is not turn based as you can tell obviously You picked a great start ❤👍 this is gonna be a fun one -your turn-based games are gonna be one through 12. I think They started experimenting with ATB with 13 in preparation for this Remake (Actually, it started with the sequel to 10 )
The first Final fantasy game that got me into the series was 15 & that’s the game everyone was hating on lol. I loved it now I wanna get into 7 Remake , 16 and Rebirth but yes jsut the music alone makes me get why people love this series so much each game is its own thing less it’s a trilogy
This is just my opinion, of course you are free to play these series as you may. But I don't recommend playing Crisis Core before the remake project is ended. In my opinion, Crisis Core spoiles a lot of major plot points from the main game. So you either wanna go blind through the remake trilogy or knowing it all after having played the OG as well.
Start with Crisis Core? No. It may not have been intended but I say that's a trap. It's a prequel that can ruin the mystery. I would leave it alone and just play Rebirth next. They are really making these games for both parties who have and haven't played Crisis Core and I think you're in a much more enjoyable boat ride just leaving it alone for now.
@@iamkataclysm My simple answer would be if you plan on finishing Remake then I would just go straight into Rebirth. My full answer is a complex one 😆. Remake is more of the title of the game and not so much a description. Remake covers roughly 25% of the OG's first half. Rebirth covers the other 75% of OG's first half and the third unannounced game will cover the rest. The third unannounced game should contain many major things Crisis Core can and will spoil. If you want to play OG then I would play Crisis Core after OG and then play Remake and Rebirth. For veterans of the original, Remake and Rebirth act as soft reboot sequels while also acting as stand alone games for newcomers. Though you did say that you didn't like turn based games and that is how OG plays.
Yeah, don't play Crisis Core... not until you've played all 3 parts of the remake (part 3 obviously not out yet), or until you've played the original 1997 Final Fantasy 7. There are big spoilers that ruin major plot points if you hadn't played the OG/Remake yet.
52 mins. Would've been a good time to use the grenade since you wanted to use it so bad. 😂 . But I'm really glad you made it through. That was fun battle to watch. Very good episode 👍
@@iamkataclysm It's hard for a lot of ppl to make it through on there first try. I've seen others die multiple times. You making it through on your first try was better than a lot others have done. It was good 👍
Yes, as people has previously said: Crisis Core is POST FF7 and the biggest mistake you can do for your overall experience if you begin with it. Trust me on this. Enjoy the masterpiece!
Exciting first time! FF is an amazing series, you will love it. However, who in their right mind advised you to start with Crisis Core? That's a spin-off/prequel that is -very- dated. Also, it spoils major twists from the FF7 Remake trilogy. I would highly suggest you to avoid this game completely and play through Remake, then Rebirth, until the release of Part 3. Then, you could technically go through other FF7 projects.
You have no idea SO many people suggested it! I’m so glad I decided to do what someone said, and they said to play the games the way the developers released them. So I figured that was the best. I’m happy I did after reading the comments! Thank you for watching 🙏🏼
Since you said you like Octopath Traveler and you didn't mind the turn-based combat, I recommend Final Fantasy 9 specifically. And on a side note, I never expect new FF players to like all FF games. It's fine if you end up not liking some.
People who said to start with Crisis Core are wild... Knowing about Cloud's past when starting Final Fantasy 7/Remake takes away a huge part of his development in the game. And spoils a major plot twist that won't be revealed until Part 3. For people who have played the original FF7, then sure, play Crisis Core. But if you intend to experience the FF7 story for the first time through the remakes, then I would not suggest it.
Yay, a new blind playthrough of 7 remake! I hope you enjoy it ❤ Just a little something since I see many first comers confused: SOLDIER is a special division in shinra, think of them as super soldiers + special ops. About crisis core... opinions are going to be divided but I am on the don't play camp. It co ers sone events which, in my opinion, ruins one of the big surprises in the main game. I compare it to the star wars watch order (before disney). Do you watch 1.2.3 - 4.5.6. Or do you watch 4.5.6 first, then 1.2.3.? Does watching prequel teilogy ruin the big monent in original trilogy or does having the knowledge beforehand adds to your experience? Thinking it like this maybe will help you decide easier.
That's actually a great way to explain it! That makes sense! Yes, I feel it's divided - at the moment, it'll be at the bottom of my list. Next up, I'm looking forward to OG FF 7 and Rebirth! Thank you for watching!! 🥹🙏🏼
@@iamkataclysm thank you for the reply :)) I haven't yet watched the other parts but I hope you are enjoying your time. Side note about the OG, if you decide to play it I would strongly recommend a translation mod. The game is notorious for it's mistranslations
You seem cool, I like you. Welvome to the world of FF. Hugs. It looks like e1 let you in on atb system. R1(Block) is very important too! You had mentioned block/dodging during the Boss fight when trying to avoid its relentless barrage of missles as Barret. Block will reduce damage (magic or physical) by half, it also extremely useful with Clouds Punisher mode. He will visciously counter-attack physical attacks, but takes full damage from ranged and magic. Sometimes its better to run instead of dodge to get away from the insane crap that will be flying your way. Some characters dodge doesn't go very far like Cloud who hops around the field like a bunny. Barret being one of them. He kinda does a short roll, it has its use for sure but he can get away better just running. Dodge and then run instead of just dodging sometimes. Block will also become a big part of the battle system in Intermission and esp Rebirth so you might as well learn to utililize it now. Here are also some stats info that will come in handy soon enough. Spirit is your Magic Defense. Speed makes your atb fill quicker. Luck is for crit hit chance. One final thought. Now that you've read peoples tips and tricks and have a tinier grasp of whats up Possibly start over and choose twenty minutes instead. Lol. J/k Anyways. Good luck and I look forward to your journey in whichever order you choose to play.
Dont forget about Intermission/Intergrade. E1 screaming about crisis core and og and what order. No one mentioned Intermission. Ah hello there will be a gap in the story from the ending of Remake to beginning of and other parts of Rebirth without playing Intermission and learning new info and meeting the new people. Either way it is a long awesome tale that so far encompass 5 games. These are in order of timeline not release. First Soldier, CC, Remake, Intermission and Rebirth and 1 movie Advent Children. Well cant forget OG and Dirge of Cereberus, so that makes 7 games. Just dont play Dirge. Ever.
To be honest, if you haven't played 7 before I think you should play the remake/rebirth/third game before going to Crisis Core as it would kinda spoil the story imo. Especially since they might change things around in the remake after all. So play all the other 7 games after, cause I wish I could've. Ofc you should do what you feel is right for you :) That's just my take on it :) Hope you Enjoy the games! Much Love!
Thank you for watching!! 🙏🏼🥹 it was such a hard decision I couldn’t decide and someone said go by the year the developers released the games so I was like okay! What’s a good one to play after this one?
@@iamkataclysm It's always hard to start a new game with a huge fanbase. It takes a while to get into the gameplay, but it feels really good once you do. Don't apologize for not knowing the game from the start, you're doing great, It's easy to miss out on stuff. But you killed the boss, first try even! Well done! 😊 Final Fantasy games generally takes place in different worlds so any game would've worked to start with to be honest. Final fantasy 7 has a few games beside the main one that gives more context that got made after the original, like Crisis Core for example. Hence why it kinda would be spoilery to play that first. The original FF7 was just one game. But when they started the Remake project they wanted to do some things they couldn't in the original because of tech limitations etc (PS1). So they decided to make a Trilogy outof it, seeing as it is one of their most beloved games. You're playing the first one "Remake" now, and the second part released 29th of February this year called "Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth", and now we're just waiting on them finishing the final part, which I don't think we've been given a name for yet. If you're still interested in the story after you've finished this game I'd recommend going with Rebirth, since it picks off right after FF7 Remake ends. If you want a break from it, it seems people really like FF16 a lot. That one is not really turn based either, and got released last year I think. Looking forward to the next video 🤗
I hope you'll like it, I love seeing people discover one of my favorite games of all time 😄 No problem at all. Sorry for the wall of text btw, I get excited talking about this game 😆
I can't believe she beat the guard scorpion on her first try without using a single ability. There should be a special reward for that.
🤣😂🤣😂
That’s when you know it’s a real blind play thru
I know it sounds mean but my dear god allmighty, it drives me nuts that some people read but don't REALLY read the tutorial tips.
Like, it's there! Right there!
Remake trilogy brining a lot of new people to Final Fantasy in general. I love it!
It's about that time for me!! 🙌🏼 I'm excited to see what all the hype is about!
7:50 Maybe because I was 17yo when i played the OG on release, bring me chills and tears even after watching this for 100 times.
👍
Crisis Core would both spoil and confuse at this point. I don't know why so many people say to play it first.
I think it’s cause Nojima and the crew said to play Crisis Core Reunion before Rebirth. I think only because you know who is a pretty prominent character in the story of Rebirth kinda
@stepb.3223 😂they also said. You didnt need to play remake to understand rebirth. So, you dont need to play crisis core at all.
Crisis core is a prequel to the original FF7. It's meant to be played after the original game because it spoils it heavy.
I have no idea why so many people suggested that. I'm so glad I went the correct way!
@@courtneyvaldez7903 She is not playing FF7. She is playing Remake.
Let’s go! Another blind Final Fantasy playthrough. They’re really addicting to watch haha. Love seeing newcomers reactions to any of the Final Fantasy games.

Remake was also my fist FF game and made me fall in love with the franchise. I look forward to watching your play through
I'm sorry excited! Thank you for watching 🥹

wow, what a nail biter. that's one tough boss. clap emoji

Never waste a chance to use your abilities. They are free. Spells cost MP. Every character has unique abilities and when you play more you’ll understand when to use them. Focus thrust builds the stagger bar. Braver is a great finishing move once staggered.
I’m glad you’re playing this game but pro tip. Please learn the ATB system. It’ll make combat so much easier on a fundamental level.
Thank you! I have that on my list of tips you all have given me! I'll be more aware of it next time! Thank you🥹🙏🏼
I love how Remake Trilogy is bringing lots of new people to this wonderful franchise! Welcome aboard, hope you like it! Let's gooo!!!
So far, I'm loving it! I'm intrigued where the story goes!!! Thank you for watching 🥹🙏🏼
Always love seeing people play this game for the first time. You’re going to love this game
I'm excited!!! Thank you for watching! 🥹
I screenshotted this so I can return to it on my next play! Thank you so much! Oooh, a DLC you say?! 👀
Omg that intro seeing "Cloud on the train with this great soundtrack is awesome. 🙌
Yessss! Excited to see you jump into your first Final Fantasy game! LFG!!!
Ooooh I'm adding this to my notes!! Thank you 🥹🙏🏼
Looking forward to all of your reactions to this amazing game. It's.an emotional ride if you open yourself to it. Cheers!
I'm looking forward as well! Thank you so much for watching 🥹🙏🏼
I love newcomers to the franchise! Final Fantasy is such an amazing experience im sure youll probably get hooked!
Spoiler free (If you care to read)
I want to point some things about the battle system, since this is unlike most games. (prepare for some serious micromanaging lmao)
I would describe Final Fantasy 7 battles as tactical and action oriented.
OMG the day is finally here!!! eeek i'm so excited to watch this! thank you Kat!! 💕
It will be a hot mess in this video, but I'll get better!!! Thank you for watching!! 🙏🏼
Crisis Core is some spinoff of the original game, and contains major spoilers about things that were left unanswered in Rebirth.
one last thing:
I see you like reading all comments.
This is the first time I've seen someone beat this whole level without using abilities lmao
Yep😂 leave it to me 🤣😂🤣
Cloud is dope. And I love that elevator scene 😂✨️👏
You did really good for your first final fantasy! I'm sure you'll get the hang of it. Especially with the tips and tricks from the other commenters.
That's very nice of you 😭 thank you!
Exactly 😂. She thought she did bad,but actually did really good. I understand her first time and all though.👍
Awwww Zhambie!! Thank you for watching, and I am excited to pour my heart and soul into this like you did! 🥹
@@iamkataclysm Hopefully you get invested and immersed in the FF7 universe! :)
I love 7 remake, graphics are beautiful and a unforgettable experience
I’m ready and excited to see the Final Fanasty 7 remake playthrough
You may not enjoy back seating driving but you've GOT TO START USING THE ABILITIES
use many and often
Plenty of people commented on that and have that on my list lol I welcomed tips and tricks so no I don't mind. It's my first time so it's all new to me.
You can use cure spell to heal , instead of using potions. Also would suggest getting use to blocking, it’s always hard to remember when you first start playing.
I couldn't remember what button was blocking, but someone said L2! Thank you! 🙌🏼
Intro for this game is RAD! What a great game it is!
Nice combat skills for a new FF player, using Deadly Dodge + HP or MP Absorb Materia's on cloud will boost his attack power greatly also Recovers HP or MP when unleashing an attack will save you from loosing hard battles.

@@iamkataclysm Once you start using those asap you'll be fine. Colsest 1st try scorpion ever 😂
I don’t think CC did a terrible job explaining there’s not really much explaining to do
I'm glad I went with playing this first!
I'm excited to dive deep into them; I'll play them for a while! There are so many games! Thank you for watching 🥹🙏🏼💕
Much love! ❤

@iamkataclysm 🤗⚘️⚘️⚘️💕aww anytime my beautiful friend ❤️
The game never tells you but you can use a minimap by pressing L2 a couple times. I find it to be better than the compass
and just one more thing, your characters can heal each other and not just themselves. You are doing great for this to be your first experience, I really hope you enjoy this game.
Thank you for the tips!! 💕 this will help me with my run!
39:17. You gotta fight and earn it to use your abilities. They can't make the that easy for ya. 👍
If you cannot avoid some attack Always hold r1 to block it reduce the damage .
Adding that to my notes!! So much to learn! Thank you for the tips and tricks! And for watching 🥹🙏🏼

Small suggestion: Be wary of comments. Not just for spoilers, but for back-seating. Some folks in the FF7 community can be quite "persistent" in trying to push folks to play a certain way.
Just do whatever feels right for you! :)
Thank you so much! I heard of that 😂 I think that's the reason I ultimately decided on playing it for TH-cam instead of streaming it!
Oh yeah that's on my list haha plenty of people mentioned it! You'll see in part 2 I finally learned! And crisis core will not be played.
My first boss fight went exactly like yours lmao I was so STRESSED 🤣 GGs!
I’m also learning from the comments that we apparently didn’t use abilities 😂
When I heard I was like OMG no wonder hahaha! I am surprised I didn't die!
Great to see you jumping on. Hope you enjoy the experience. As far as which games to play, in my opinion, I think, after you finish Remake, you should play the OG FF7 game, Then play Crisis Core, Then play Rebirth. That's my advice.
I do hear to play the OG 7! I love retro games, so that I might do!! Thank you so much for watching and suggesting what to jump into next!
Be prepared for some epic 20-30 minute battles as you progress 😁

Oh no, people didn't like that one? Such a bummer! It's been fun meeting some FF fans! They've all been super cool! Thanks for watching 💕
I'm thinking after this to play og 7 and Rebirth after, I think!
@@iamkataclysm an excellent ideia me thinks.
People really suggested you start with Crisis Core? That sounds like the worst idea of all time.
Yes! Quite a bit, actually! Glad I listened to my gut!
Would you say it'll be a good idea to play OG FF 7 and then Rebirth or jump into Rebirth? 😊
Welcome to FF world, i hope you like this amazing journey.
I’m excited!! 🥹
Yeah, don't play Crisis Core... not until you've played all 3 parts of the remake (part 3 obviously not out yet), or until you've played the original 1997 Final Fantasy 7. There are big spoilers that ruin major plot points if you hadn't played the OG/Remake yet.
On my notes, I have, after beating this game, to play OG 7, Crisis Core, and then Rebirth! That's right?
52 mins. Would've been a good time to use the grenade since you wanted to use it so bad. 😂 . But I'm really glad you made it through. That was fun battle to watch. Very good episode 👍
I barely made it through!! 😂🤣 thank you so much for watching!!! 🙏🏼🥹
@@iamkataclysm It's hard for a lot of ppl to make it through on there first try. I've seen others die multiple times. You making it through on your first try was better than a lot others have done. It was good 👍
Pretty new to your Channel because Of Final fantasy 🌝
Welcome! Expect final fantasy on Fridays! 🙌🏼 Thank you for being here 🥹🙏🏼
23:11 Oh, you ain’t seen nothing’ yet!
🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
I only played the demo of octopath and I loved it 💕 so I might like that one!!
Crisis Core no is good introduction for FF7 universe, CC is a Prequel for WHO Knows the Universe of FF7
GOOD Choice you begin in FF7R.
I’m so glad I decided to go with this one then!!
@@iamkataclysm yes. CC can spoil alot things, and confused you alot by begin with that.
you did good for begin in remake indeed
@@iamkataclysm PS: Sorry my english
@@jorgemurilo6456 You're doing great!
Wow that first boss almost had you Kat. Good job tho!
I tried! 😅🤣😂 thank you so much!!
16 minutes in.... you already start killing dogs 😂
Crisis Core will spoil some plots, so you choose the right route.
Yay, a new blind playthrough of 7 remake! I hope you enjoy it ❤
Just a little something since I see many first comers confused: SOLDIER is a special division in shinra, think of them as super soldiers + special ops.
@@YldzKalkavan I am enjoying it so much! I was hesitant but I really am! Ah, I see! I will keep that in mind!
You should try using some abilities!
I gotta get better! 😅 I will remember to do that!
I really like this!!!!

Nice to meet you!!! Thank you for subscribing 🥹🙌🏼 welcome!
Final Fantasy VII Remake or Rebirth?
Remake! ☺️
Lol. J/k
Anyways. Good luck and I look forward to your journey in whichever order you choose to play.
I am curious what would happen if I went with 20 min! Haha, thank you so much for your message, and thank you for watching 🥹🙏🏼
Found ya so subbed ya >:)
Thank you!! 🥹🙏🏼
Ever.
Hello
Hiya!! 👋🏼
Well done! 😊
Final Fantasy games generally takes place in different worlds so any game would've worked to start with to be honest.
@@StrifeSE It sounds like I am in for an exciting journey with FF! So excited! Thank you for your comments! I appreciate them so much!
I hope you'll like it, I love seeing people discover one of my favorite games of all time 😄
No problem at all. Sorry for the wall of text btw, I get excited talking about this game 😆
Always best to play the demo first...
Hahaha, it would've been the same outcome! Luckily, I've gotten so much better!
Crisis core is bad fanfiction. Either stick to just the remakes which sadly include some of that bad fanfiction or play the original game.
