Great review. I have bucked out the last 2 years with my compass in 308. My longest shot was 330 yards. For the price. You can’t beat it.
Slap a Boyds stock on it for less than $200 and you've got a rifle that might as well be $1,000

@@AntiFakeJewsRev2-9-0Zach9-6 I have actually not shot the .338 yet, so I can't say. Getting ammo or brass to reload has been a hassle. I have a box of 225gr Federal Vital Shock ready to test, and some brass on the way. I will update when I can.

I love mine. Got the 308 And 30 -06 A couple years ago at Dick’s, with the rebate, 165 each! First box of 308 ammo at 125 yards was within an inch!
What kind of scope rings do you have on it?
The .30-06 I have and its amazing. Had a five shot, 3/4 inch grouping pattern from 30 yards with a laser and scope. Really nice rifle and the .30-06 will take down anything and the .308 is great.
Mine in .308 loves Hornady Black 168gr A-Max rounds. I can shoot about a 2 inch group at 300 yards, smaller if I'm lucky.
i got a thompson center 308 and itll do less than half inch moa with hornady black...amazing rifles...and you can get a nice boyds stock like i did if you want to take an amazing barrel and increase the worth of it

No 10rd mags that I know of, only flush fit 5 rounders. Considering most hunting laws max out at 6 rounds, it's perfectly adequate. If you want a tactical bolt action rifle, I would look at other options.

They’re held in by tension I have one chambered in 308 and to take bolt apart the handle comes out. I also hit a 10 inch plate at 800 yards with ease with my compass

My compass .243 has flyers when barrel heats up only after 3 shots...anyone else have that problem?
Imma follow this thread if you don’t mind since we are looking into getting the compass for me.
The barrel is a hunting profile barrel, it is not intended to be shot in long strings of fire. After 3 shots the barrel is hot enough to begin affecting accuracy a bit. It will be this way for any rifle with a similar barrel profile. If you want something you can shoot tight groups all day long without letting it cool, you need to get a bolt action with a bull barrel, although this will be a pain to carry into the field.
My Compass in 308 is sub MOA all day long with decent hunting ammo. It shoots far better than any Remington 700 i've seen out of the box and for about 1/3 of the cost. Buy it and don't look back.

Gun policies are most often created by those who have no knowledge or experience with firearms, only what they see in the media and movies.
