I think that's too niche for DJI, they probably want to stick to the concept of a beginner friendly fpv drone and just want to expand the experience by increasing flight time and features
@@gimbalair I'm suffering under that fact myself 😅 I guess at one point they could make a mini Avata like they did with the DJI mini series but probably not soon
We can't be sure yet, I personally think for a while not (commercial reasons). But DJI usually makes their products backwards compatible for at least 1 generation
That's good to know because I would probably just buy the goggles.. I already have the avata 1, I really do like the idea of longer flight time with the Avata 2. Thank you for the update .
The only thing that makes me interested just the new 2 cameras in front of the goggles. The rest are still optional, we still can use old avata for taking video
I agree, goggles are the far more interesting upgrade here, I had hoped they upgraded the camera of the avata or implemented a follow function, longer flight time is cool but the avata already covers that imo
Nah I don't think so, it should be a bit more responsive because of the bigger props but it's also heavier so let's see, so far we don't know anything about the motors. I don't think it will be slower but with new regulations in the EU, they could limit the speed in manual mode which would really suck...
The battery life is what made me not get the avata. So if they fixed that, and NOTHING else changed, i'd buy the avata 2 hands down. 2:10 oh nevermind, so real world usage still below 15min.
I mean compared to other quads the flight time is pretty good imo, I got a second battery for the og Avata and that's enough for me but I also use it to mainly film stuff
What? The battery time is the only point where the Avata beats normal fpv drones. You are comparing to camera drones which is a completely different class
458g pointless, they should have designed a sub 250 whoop and would have cleaned up

@@roadtovisual i fly cinelogs but the avata has a place indoors due to altitude hold
@@gimbalair if gps works...
is fpv controller 2 will be compaitable for coming avata 2 ?
Probably yes...
will the new goggles be compatable with the original avata 1?

Nice, thank you for the great news! ✨🙌✨
Always a pleasure! 🤗
I think the avatar 2 will be released on the 11 aprill
Interesting, what makes you think that?

You know they want us to buy 3 more batteries because the flight time in manual mode is about 10 mins
They leak states 12-15 minutes. 10 min are already pretty good for an fpv drone, most others can't do that. But the batteries are pretty expensive yes
Any leak about launch sale?
Nah unfortunately not, but DJI is not really known for that
I think April 9th or 11th
avata 2 Released??
A couple of weeks propably
Dji needs to hurry up and release this before the ban! Lol
