Hello, the first time I came to Dumaguete was in 1989, I have been to the boulevard many times. As you say, the Filipino people are very polite and helpful. I have experienced this in all the times I have been there. Hope I get a trip to Dumaguete in September

Nice, informative walking tour. It was as if I was there walking side by side with you. Falling in love with the Philippines seems almost a given. And if the women are as beautiful as you say they are, not to fall in love with them might be hard to do. Can hardly wait to get there

Mr. Sunshine Shoulders, i want to thank you so much for this video. I am scheduled to arrive in Dumaguete in a few more weeks, for my first visit with my Filipino wife. I was praying for God to show me something to encourage my visit with my wife. We live there, but I to was also delayed with the new rule change's. I just want to make sure that with my recent vaccination, that I will be allowed to enter. I really want to meet you, because you have really encouraged me a lot. Thanks! I'm on Whatsapp, Facebook and messenger, (Oliver Freeman). You are a lifesaver, my dear brother. I look forward to hear from you.

Actually Silliman University was the one institution that made Dumaguete famous all over the Philippines established in 1901 by American missionaries. It has 10,000 students from 53 countries on a 155 acres of property.

Had to comment on the busses. Back in the mid to late 80's I was stationed at Clark AB, Angeles city. We would catch the busses to Manila, Baguio, La Union and such. We nicknamed the air-conditioned busses Rabbit busses and the non air-conditioned busses chicken busses . Main reason ac busses would not allow animals, chickens, goats, dogs and the chicken busses would. Heck, they would be piled up on top of the chicken buses. Good times, and yes sometimes we were cheap and took the chicken busses!!

I am a Filipino and glad to see foreigners. I don't care about color, religion, or where you are from. Just follow rules and respect our culture. There is nothing to it except those two. You will see racist people like anywhere else or bad people trying to rip you off. But generally, we are good people and willing to help foreigners anyway we can. My grandfather was also a foreigner from China. I myself endured racism because of my Chinese heritage.

"Don't fall in love in the PI, fall in love with the PI instead." The 2% of men that take your "Boots on the Ground" advice will have a great time. But unfortunately many have already fallen in love on-line because they just couldn't wait 2 years for in-person dating. SADLY they are LOCKED into love before they step one foot on PI soil. They have also probably sent a ton of peso's to the love of their life over the past 2 years. So they better be the FIRST guy over here or one of the other 5 guys she was chatting with will show up first and steal her heart.

Totally respect your words, got a few questions though:
Is the air quality good? I remember in summer in Taiwan if I wasn't careful, their sewerage systems where terrible. Each corner of streets could be a potential mouthful of Hep B...
(No woman I ever had been in a relationship ever admitted this in Australia.... Amazing difference...)
What is the cost of a bottle of water? Which brand is good?
Am I ok to walk down near beach in some shorts only?
What is the best and most reliable food there?
Lol, I could go on but would love to hear what you/commenters, their advice.
