What about the Levi's Signature brand. I have a pair of womens Gold label jeans where the label is actually sewn onto the top of the back pocket. I'm having trouble putting a time period on that.

I have a pair that has the uppercase "E" on the red tag, but has the "newer" care tags inside. What does this mean?!

Reproduction. Check the seam on the inside of the bottom leg. Does it have a white salvage seam. Good luck:-)

I buy all my jeans out of vintage stores. I have a mix of old LEVIS, LEE, WRANGLER, and CARHARTT, they are not worth a great deal.....but all are in good condition, and very robust in construction, with: MADE IN USA on the label. I remember jeans in the 1960s, and today's offerings do not match the quality, and robustness of yesteryear......which is a shame.

Are you looking for a pair, or wanting to date a pair you have already? IF so, When were they purchased?

So basically any 501 blue jeans not from the US are worthless!

Not really. Japanese 501XX denim raw selvedge are also great denims. Levis Japanese are top of Levis and they are being made until today even side by side on the original 12.5 oz OGs. Made and crafted STF raw selvedge 501s also are fair quality. And once in a while on special days, they release some good 501s to mention the 150th anniversary 501 repro STF raw selvedge which is made in china but is nice and collectible.
